You looked at Taylor who was still sleeping next to you, despite the fact that it was already noon. The sun was shining through the curtains, the only sound that could be heard was the sound of yours and Taylor's breathing, and the occasional snores that would come from her.

Taylor had just gotten home around midnight last night from a seven-month tour. You knew she was tired and needed to catch up on sleep so her sleeping till noon wasn't surprising at all.

You couldn't even begin to imagine how exhausted she must be. So you laid in bed watching the steady rise and fall of her chest, and just her in general.

It had been a while since you'd seen her last. Since you last held her in your arms, since you last heard her sing you to sleep when she was holding you rather than over the phone when she was on tour, it'd been a while since you saw her sleep.

She looked so peaceful and angelic and the light that was shining through the curtains cast over her head making it look like she had a halo. This was what you missed and you didn't want to wake her anytime soon.

You unwrapped her arm that was around your stomach to keep you close to her like a child holds a teddy bear, sitting up and stretching out before tiptoeing to the bathroom to brush your teeth.

You were rinsing out your mouth when you felt Taylor rest her head on your back, her arms over your stomach as she sighed contently.

You giggled and dried your mouth with the towel before turning around to look at her. She buried her face in the crook of your neck, her hot breath fanning over your collarbones.

"Taylor? Why are you up? Go back to bed baby."

You stroked her hair, running your fingers through her soft curls.

"You left." She said quietly and it made you smile, she was clinging onto you like her life depended on it.

"I just had to brush my teeth. Let's go back to bed sweetie." You whispered, grabbing her hand and leading her back to bed.

Once you two were laying in bed she pulled you into her embrace, her arms going back around your stomach just like before and you couldn't help but smile.

You saw her open her bright blue eyes to look into your eyes, she smiled and leaned down to kiss you softly. "seven months is too long without you. We're not leaving this bed today."

You giggled but nodded your head anyways, watching as her eyes closed and her eyelashes fluttered against her cheek. You brought your hand to her soft cheek, rubbing it softly as you thought about how long you two have spent apart and how she was finally home with you.

"You okay honey?" She whispered, her voice quiet and coated with sleep but you loved it and you couldn't help but smile.

"Just happy you're finally home is all."

She gave you a sleepy smile, her eyes still closed but she grabbed your wrist and kissed it a couple of times.

"Me too y/n, me too."

She kissed your forehead before you both fell back asleep.
