Ruby pov

Ruby: "You know what Yang."
Yang: "What is it Rubes?"
Ruby: "I think I am gonna change up my battle style."
Yang: "And why is that Rubes?"
Ruby: "Don't get me wrong I love my Crescent Rose. But I want to do something unexpected." I said pulling out a small but bulky pistol as she stared at me as we arrived at Beacon.
Yang: "Rubes... You got in here for your skills with Crescent Rose."
Ruby: "I know but I want to try this out Yang please?" I said as she said ruffling my hair as I groaned. I watched as she ran off and I was left alone with puke boy. I sighed until I saw a dark haired stranger with his weapon on his back. It was love at first sight just seeing the handle. I felt myself drooling slightly as I followed him.

???: "Hello." He said turning around as I blushed wiping the drool away.
Ruby: "H-Hi..." I said with a small wave as he smirked slightly turning back around as I noticed a second handle. I stared as he glanced back.
???: "Do you like what you see?" He said as I lazily nodded before blushing madly shaking my head.
Ruby: "N-No I like the looks of your weapons can I see them closer?" I said as he shook his head sighing.
???: "Fraid I can't cause... Reasons anyway you will probably see them tomorrow." He said in a cryptic manner as I stared confused. "Name's (Y/n) by the way." He said as I shook myself out of the daze I was in.
Ruby: "I-I'm Ruby... Ruby Rose" I said as he smiled waving back before disappearing as I stood in another daze.

6 hours later

I laid awake beside Yang as I couldn't stop thinking about him. (Y/n) was all I could think about all because of what he said. I flipped over coming face to face with Yang as she was smirking.

Yang: "Hey Rubes."
Ruby: "Hey Yang what you staring at?"
Yang: "All the cute boys around us. I mean some them are really hot." She said as I blushed slightly nodding in agreement. "Oooh little sis is crushing on a new guy. Who is he?" She asked as I looked away smirking. "Ooh Ooh let me guess... Puke boy?" She asked as I shook my head. "Hmm... Is it... that guy?" She said pointing at one of the boys strolling by showing off for the other girls as I shook my head. "Hmmm Woah."
Ruby: "What is it Yang?"
Yang: "That kid over there is doing like an exercise or something." She said as I looked in the direction she was pointing and saw (Y/n) twirling the small blade around himself before slowly sliding the blade in-between two of his fingers. I stared as he was shirtless up against the wall as I couldn't help but drool again. "Ooh did i find him?" She said as I blushed bright red nodding slowly as she snickered softly punching my arm. "Anyway how are gonna be fighting with... that pistol thingy?" She asked as it was my turn to snicker pulling the blanket up over me closing my eyes.
Ruby: "Night Yang." I said as she groaned shaking me as I smirked to myself falling asleep.

7 hours later at the cliff

We all stood in place as one by one we were sent hurtling through the air. I watched everyone going as Yang gave me a thumbs up as I smiled when we both were launched. I soared through the air without a care in the world until a blur of green flew by me. I watched as the blur dashed infront of everyone staying airborne as I was in shock. But quickly I regained my focus hitting a tree holding onto it as I slowly slid down the tree. I shook my head ridding my hair of all the leaves that were sticking to it. When I hit the ground I looked at the pistol before clicking a button as it extended into a staff as I smirked. Quickly I did a little test run on the surroundings as I stopped barely avoiding hitting Weiss as she stared at me.
