Fall is the Season of Love

(Y/n): "Amber I love you."
Amber: "I love you too (Y/n) I've loved you since we were kids." She said causing me to smile hugging her as she started shaking me. "(Y/n)...(Y/n)....(Y/N)!!" She shouted as my eyes opened sitting up staring around.

(Y/n): "What?!? I WAS HAVING A NICE DREAM DAMNITT!!" I shouted shaking my fist at her as she sighed.
Amber: "And I the fall maiden get the worst knight to defend her..."
(Y/n): "Ouch my feels I guess all the times I saved your life don't matter?"
Amber: "And how many times have I had to bail your ass out?"
(Y/n): "...I hate your logic."
Amber: "It's not logic it's fact." She said as we glared at each other before laughing together.

Me and her have been together since we were just wee kids. Never one without the other. And as fate would have it I became the knight that would defend the fall maiden. But I don't think falling in love with her was part of the deal.

(Y/n): "Alright now that I am awake." I said jumping up grabbing my tower shield and Great Hammer. "What are we doing?"
Amber: "Well we need to find somewhere safe for me to stay. As much as I 'love' sleeping outside I much prefer an actual bed to one of leaves."
(Y/n): "Oh you know you love snuggling up to me on the chilly nights." I said jokingly as I saw her eyes starting to glow. I ran behind a tree shielding. "I KID! I KID!" I shouted at her as she giggled. I peeked my head out only to pull it right back in barely dodging the barrage of leaves. "I COULD HAVE DIED!!"
Amber: "But you didnt and thats good." She said walking away as I jumped out chasing after her.

Time skip 6 hours later at an Inn

Amber: "what about here this seems like a nice place doesn't it?"
(Y/n): "Let's see if they have a room open. My good sir do you have any rooms available for two?" I shouted walking up to the counter as he looked at me.

Owner: "Depends are you two a couple or?" He said as we blushed looking at each other.
Amber: "N-"
(Y/n): "Yes we are sweetheart you have to stop being so shy." I said wrapping my arm around her as she looked at me bright red. "What? It's fall the season of love." I said as the owner nodded telling us he had one room that was at a discounted price for couples.

(Y/n): "We will take it!" I said paying him the price as he handed us the key waving us off. We went upstairs finding our room number. When we entered I sat on a chair as she sat on the bed. I looked at her seeing her bright red as I looked away scratching my cheek.

Amber: "I-I hate you... You know that right?"
(Y/n): "Hey your safety is my top concern... Plus this was the last place open I'm sorry." I said looking away as it stayed silent for a few minutes.

Neither of us said a word. 'Im sure I ruined my chance to tell her how I feel. And even if I did I'm sure she would just think I'm acting.' I thought to myself letting out a sigh.

Amber: "I-Im sorry I don't hate you I just am embarrassed that's all..."
(Y/n): "Yeah I would be embarrassed going out with me too." I said with a chuckle as she joined in. We looked at each other and smiled feeling the tension relieved.I yawned slightly before laying my on the desk.

(Y/n): "Well I'm going to sleep... Night.. " I yawned out pulling my arms up resting my head on them. I only heard a giggle before hearing a "goodnight." From her.

Amber pov

Amber: "And of course he is the first one to bed. He has always been such a lazy bones." I said giggling to myself. I got up going over to him as I saw his weapon and shield laying against the desk. He was so stupid I'm sure they had more rooms he just wanted to sleep. I picked him up struggling to get him into the bed taking his shoes off as he wrapped his arms around me.

I couldn't tell if he was dreaming or was awake and doing this to piss me off. But I heard him mumbling in his sleep.

(Y/n): "Fall...love...season...you...I...love..." He mumbled out as I laid him down on the bed. I blushed slightly before sitting beside him staring at his face. He was cute for such an idiot and he did his job well. I slowly leaned down about to kiss his head until. "I...love...you...Amber..." I said before turning over on his side asleep.I blushed staring at him as he slept happily.

Amber: "Does... Does he actually love me? I mean he jokes about it all the time but... Earlier when he held me in his arms..." I said blushing before looking at his sleeping face. He looked so peaceful and happy. "I will make him tell me in the morning." I said taking my shoes off before getting in bed with him. I wrapped my arms around his waist pulling myself closer to him. I rubbed my head agaisnt his back before falling asleep spooning with him.

Time skip morning (Y/n) pov

I sat up stretching my arms letting out a yawn. I had another dream where me and Amber got together and were happy. I just smiled to myself before seeing the desk I fell asleep on.

(Y/n): "...." I was silent before looking down seeing Amber was spooning with me. I blushed but didn't freak out since we cuddled when it was cold. However she looked so much cuter than usual and I couldn't resist. I turned over slowly leaning down about to place my lips on hers for a small kiss.

Amber: "(Y/n) what are you doing?" She asked as I stared at her  embarrassed. I pulled away bright red as she pulled me down pinning me on the bed. "We arent leaving this bed until you tell me how you feel about me."
(Y/n): "Amber I..."
Amber: "You love me don't you?"
(Y/n): "How..."
Amber: "You forget how much you talk in your sleep."
(Y/n): "I hate myself..."
Amber: "Well I love you for yourself." She said laying ontop of me as I stared at her.

She just giggled before getting her face closer to mine. I knew what was happening but I wasn't fully prepared. I leaned forward slowly before our lips met. It was a soft encounter as we stayed like this for a few moments before we pulled away staring at each other blushing.

(Y/n): "So are we a couple now?"
Amber: "Well fall is the season of love." She said as we kissed again happily holding each other ignoring all others.
