Fallen from the Top

(Y/n): "They will pay..." I said in the base of the rebel uprising. I sat there still brooding over what I was tricked into doing. And how depressed it left me.

Flashback 3 years ago

(Y/n): "Ironwood Sir!" I said saluting him as he waved me.
Ironwood: "At ease. Now (Y/n) I have heard some... Interesting things about you. Can you clarify what Winter means when she says you are the best?"
(Y/n): "Sir! I am top of all my classes, never failed or went subpar in anything, have not lost a single match even against multiple opponents. Everyone says I am the best soldier this academy as ever produced sir!"
Ironwood: "Yes I can see that from your records... You've even beaten Winter in hand to hand combat. I think your ready to take the next step towards a bright future soldier."
(Y/n): "What are your orders sir?"
Ironwood: "Find and eliminate two targets one man one woman. Their names are classified but you will know them when you see them understood?"
(Y/n): "Sir yes sir!" I said giving him another salute as he waved me off. I went and grabbed my team giving them the specs of the mission and grabbing our gear. Inside I was super excited that General Ironwood has acknowledged me.

Time skip 7 hours later

When we arrived at the city I pondered the identities of the targets until I saw two suspicious individuals walking among the crowd. I memorized their apparel as they slipped away. We followed then down an alleyway that was a dead end. I heard whispers from them as i signaled to the team for silent takedowns. They agreed as two stood guard and two attacked. I unsheathed my sword raising it up preparing to strike as my teammate did the same. In a flash of steel both heads were rolling on the ground as the bodies fell to their knees then over. I flicked my blade splattering the blood over the ground as my eyes landed on their faces. I felt sick to my stomach. I was ordered to execute my own parents. I wanted to cry I did but Ironwood contacted us on the earphones.

Ironwood: "Come in kilo squad. The targets heat signatures are gone can you confirm death?"
(Y/n): "....sir yes sir both targets eliminated mission complete returning to base..."
Ironwood: "Good to hear." He said as communications ended and we disposed of the bodies. My team went on ahead as I stared at my hands and theirs lifeless corpses. I killer my own parents... Why were they wanted dead? Then I saw my mother clutching something. I bent down and picked it up reading it. I was shocked it was a flyer for the rebel army against everything hunter and huntress related. I shoved it in my pockets going along my way.

Flashback ends

I stared at my hands still shaken by the event. I will never forgive myself for what I've done. I felt tears starting to form in my eyes as I wiped them away shaking with sadness and anger.

Friend: "Hey (Y/n) are you almost ready we got a thing to crash."
(Y/n): "I know I'm almost ready for my date."
Friend: "What the hell dude this is serious business here."
(Y/n): "I know I know I'm just joking. We see those four girls every single time we try something that it's become a regular thing." I said as we laughed getting our supplies. I looked at the flyer my mother had. I felt terrible because of what I did. I was deeply depressed and suicidal still am. But no one knows that past or present. I tried killing myself after faking my own death to leave that life behind. But then I remembered this flyer and that saved my life.

Time skip 3 hours

We arrived like anyone else. I examined the crowd spotting every guard in disguise. But what surprised me was the sheer amount of guards there were. Then I saw it. Ironwood and Winter. I felt my blood boiling as I shook absolutely livid.

Friend: "Hey are you okay your sha- wait!" He shouted as I flew off red with rage. I brandished my weapon executing every guard. People started screaming in fear as he called me to retreat cause of my screw up. But I refused they were right there within my reach.

Ironwood: "Well if it isn't the rebels. Here to try and stop me?"
(Y/n): "....vengeance..."
Winter: "What was that scum?"
(Y/n): "Vengeance..."
Ironwood: "That voice... Those skills..." He said opening his mouth as I threw off my hat and sunglasses revealing myself to them. They gasped.
Both: "(Y/n)?!?"
(Y/n): "DAMN RIGHT IM HERE TO FUCKING KILL YOU IRONWOOD!!! YOU TOOK MY PARENTS AWAY FROM ME SO IM TAKING YOUR LIFE!!!" I shouted jumping onto the platform rushing them both. They only smirked as I roared raising to slash before being sent flying. I gasped holding my stomach looking up on the ground. I saw the four girls I always clashed with. They stood between me and my goal.

Weiss: "Stop this (Y/n)! We don't want to fight!"
(Y/n): "...I thought you four understood me..." I said standing up wiping the blood off my face.
Ruby: "Please stop this we want to help you!"
(Y/n): "Then move..." I said slowly stomping towards them dragging my weapon behind me. They moved but closer to me. I pushed past them until Yang grabbed me holding me back as Weiss froze me in place. I begged them to let me through till I heard a gun shot. I blinked before coughing up blood falling backwards feeling my chest. I laid on the ground dying as the four screamed and i looked to Ironwood seeing the gun in his hands.

Ironwood: "Scum." Was all he said before everything faded black and I stopped breathing.

Yang pov

I shook in anger looking at Ironwood. This wasn't part of the deal. This was nothing we agreed to. He guaranteed we would see (Y/n) if we kept him safe. He promised no harm would befall (Y/n) and he just fucking killed him. He just walked away with Winter not looking back as we all wept over (Y/n)s death. We all fell in love with him after he held us hostage and told us his life story. We knew he felt the same since he never harmed us.

Weiss: "He's gone... I... I just don't believe it..."
Ruby: "Its alright Weiss he's better now... No more pain from his past..."
Blake: "I only wish we got to say how much we loved him..."
(Y/n): "You still can." He said as we jumped back in shock staring at him. He sat up wiping the blood from his mouth as we were scared. "Gotta love body restoration."
Yang: "But he... What?!?"
(Y/n): "The only way to kill me is decapitation followed by head shot then ending with a shot to the heart. Otherwise I regenerate my body." He said lifting up his shirt showing the bullet wound being closed up and his heart repairing. We pinned him to the ground crying as he held us. We each took turns telling him how we felt and then kissed him as he returned the kisses.

(Y/n): "I love you all as well... I've fallen from the top heading towards the bottom but halfway you all caught me and cared for me. I promise to get revenge but only when I know you all will be safe." He said as we smiled wiping our tears hugging him not caring what people thought around us.
