Exemption From Purgatory

A/n just like with Raven this is probably going to be bad cause how many of these have you seen really? Also the title I couldn't think of anything better I'm sorry.

When everything fell to despair Grimm were either killing people or taking them prisoner. I was one of the people taken prisoner. They took away my glaive and I cant use my semblance. So here I am stuck in a cell with a collar around my neck and chains around my wrists and ankles. I was barely kept alive and constantly tortured by the Grimm that had learned how to speak. They constantly reminded me of when Beacon fell and nearly everyone died. I was starting to go insane until they opened my cell door. I blankly stared at the guard who dragged me out throwing me on the floor.
Grimm1: "GET UP YOU HUMAN FILTH HER MAJESTY WANTS TO SEE YOU!!" It yelled at me as I stood walking with them. We arrived at a throne room of sorts as I looked around trying to find the monster that ruled Grimm. But I saw a figure in a robe. I couldn't see their face but I felt a demonic aura from it. I was kicked to my knees as they kneeled before the figure. It slowly walked towards me as I accepted death face to face staring at it. I saw the red iris and prepared to be eaten till I felt a soft hand placed on my cheek. I looked at the hand from my peripheral vision seeing it was a deathly white. I was shocked when she dropped her hood revealing her face. At first I was scared but I calmed down after examining it.

Salem: "Is this the human that wielded the glaive you confiscated?" She asked as the guards nodded I saw a slight smile of satisfaction grow on her face. "Good unlock him and give him his equipment." She said as we were all shocked but they obeyed. I eyed her trying to figure her deal as I was handed my glaive and armor. "Good now human what is your name?"
(Y/n): "Its (Y/n)..." I said as she made a noise that sounded like a giggle.
Salem: "Alright (Y/n) this is a test to find a suitable... Partner for me kill these two guards in a minute and you pass." She said as they glared at me slashing their claws. I jumped back two handing my glaive activating my semblance to boost my power ten fold. I needed to do this just to wield my weapon as I swung it. The first guard dodged it but the second wasn't as lucky. It sliced him clean through as I looked at the first one. He jumped on me snapping his mouth trying to bite me as I fended him off. I switched my glaive to range form spraying the rounds into the guards body. I held down the trigger until I just heard clicking as he fell off me dead I stood holding my arm staring at the woman before me.

Salem: "Good Good you might be just what I wanted. Strong and confident. But how smart are you is the question? Do you submit to me or face the never ending horde of Grimm?" She asked me as breathed dropping to my knees lowering my head in defeat. "Very smart it seems guards bring this man to my chambers and kill off the other contenders." She said turning around walking away as I laid down holding my bleeding arm. Soon I was being dragged somewhere but it was starting to go foggy and I guess I passed out. When I woke up I wasn't in my cell I was in a large room laying on a very comfy bed. But my head was slightly elevated as I felt someone running their hands through my (h/c) messy hair. At first I thought everything was a dream and I was back with Ruby. But I knew I was just being delusional as I saw the pale white face of Salem. She just had my head resting on her lap softly stroking my hair as she looked down on me smiling.
Salem: "So your finally awake my champion how is your arm?" She asked me as it took me a minute to comprehend what she said. I felt my arm was bandaged and the pain was gone.
(Y/n): "A-A lot better thanks..." I said trying to look away as she smiled more. She lifted me up and gave me a hug which caught me off guard. I didnt know what to do so I carefully hugged back. She pulled away as I let go and placed a kiss on my cheek. I stared at her confused as she giggled again.
Salem: "You must have forgotten your only alive here right now cause your the only suitable partner for me. All the others were too prideful and fell. But you submitted and made a good show during your fight. So ive chosen you to be my partner simple." She said with a light blush spreading across her face as I blushed more looking away. I felt her pull me close hugging me again as i slowly hugged back. "If it makes you feel better than Ruby girl you love is still alive." She said with a soft smile as I stared at her in disbelief how did she know I was in love with Ruby. "I suspect she will be coming here to not only stop me but rescue you. From your memories it seems she was going to be captured but you rescued her and sacrificed yourself. How noble but be warned if you cross me or so much as think of crossing me I will know and you will be dead." She finished coldly as I stared at her in fear and shock nodding in acknowledgment. Soon time blended together and I stopped feeling scared around Salem. I actually am starting to enjoy my time with her but I can't say. My memories with Ruby are slowly slipping from my mind. Salem told me she would rescue me or attempt in a month but it's already been three. Salem swears she didn't send too many additional troops to help take over remnant. And I believe her so slowly the love for Ruby is being replaced by... Love for Salem. She did take care of me better than Ruby did. But only time can tell if what I feel for Salem is true or if it's just my survival instincts keeping me alive.

Well I tried that's all I can say. Again I hardly have seen any fan fics like this so I tried hard. So with that said I'm heading back to my bonfire I'm out of estus and my weapons are broken *sits at bonfire refilling estus and repairing weapons listening to various music in my favorites list*
