A Lie Becomes The Truth

When I returned from my mission by myself I was an absolute mess. I returned from my mission without my team in tears. I passed everyone I knew going to Ozpin. When I arrived a told him everything as I broke into tears after losing my best friends. He consoled me on their deaths and a job well done sending me out. I didn't want to go to my dorm so I knocked on STRQ door as Qrow answered. He looked at me as I wiped my eyes.

(Y/n): "Hey... Can I hang with you guys?" I asked as he nodded ushering me in. I sat at the desk spinning in the chair wiping my eyes. No one said a thing as I watched them pass me by. "I may be hurt but if I wanted silence I would have gone to my dorm. Talk people please." I groaned out as they chuckled slightly causing me to smile. They slowly went back to resuming their things as I smiled eating the cookies Summer gave me.

(Y/n): "Nom Nom Nom." I said smiling as Summer giggled as I heard Raven and Tai fighting.
Raven: "Fuck off Tai how many times do I have to say no for it to go through your thick skull I don't like you!!"
Tai: "Come on Raven give me a chance please I love you."
Raven: "Shut up I already have a boyfriend so step off Tai!" She shouted blushing as we all stared at her confused. I had known Raven and Qrow my whole life yet this is the first I've heard of this.
Tai: "Whose your boyfriend? I will beat him up and win you over."
Raven: "My... Boyfriend... Is..." She trailed looking away trying to lie as our eyes locked together. "(Y/n)!! He is my boyfriend!" She exclaimed jumping up running over to me hugging me tightly. I went bright red looking at her confused.
Raven: "Please play along I'm tired of him trying stuff with me..." She whispered in almost a begging tone as I smirked standing up nice and tall.
(Y/n): "You think you can beat me Tai last time I checked I kicked your ass without breaking a sweat." I said smirking as he scoffed looking away defeated. She walked me over to her bed holding onto me as I hugged her kissing her head. She was bright red as I giggled. "Come on babe you can't keep being so shy about us." I said as she stared at me with hate and something else in her eyes as she muttered something.

Tai: "...Are you two bullshitting me? Your not going out."
(Y/n): "You want to fight me for her then?" I said letting her go standing up towering over Tai. He shrank down slightly as I smirked sitting back down with Raven. I was blushing cause this felt kinda nice so I did what I needed to do to seal the deal. I looked at Raven as she did the same as I pulled her close kissing her passionately wrapping my arms around her waist closing my eyes. I saw shock on her face before I closed my eyes as I felt her relax wrapping her hands around my neck. We stayed like this for a few minutes before breaking the kiss. We had a small string of saliva connecting our lips as I pushed her hair back. We were blushing madly but I hid my blush staring at Tai.

(Y/n): "Is that enough proof Tai cause if she complains about you one more time we are fighting. And I won't go easy on you this time." I said in a demanding tone as he shrank even more away as I smirked sitting back down with Raven. She was staring at me as I smiled softly laying on her bed. She blushed laying down facing me and the wall as I started tearing up. She saw this and softly wiped my tears hugging me as I silently wept. I was bottling my tears during that entire incident and I need some comfort. I hid my face from everyone but Raven as I silently wept clinging to her as she stroke my hair trying to calm me down. I smiled slightly as she was bright red staring at my face. I timidly kissed her nose not faking the boyfriend act now as she smiled softly. I closed my eyes slowly falling asleep as I felt Raven wrap her arms around me as I snuggled up to her in tears asleep.

Time skip 2 weeks

I had to fake being Ravens boyfriend that entire time and basically lived there with her and her team. I at first didn't love Raven but I felt something there. So when I entered the dorm I saw Tai trying his chances with Raven again as I cracked my knuckles scaring him shitless. I chuckled a little sitting with Raven holding her as she rested her head on my chest. When this all first started we were the worst couple we were just too tense. But now we are so relaxed its like we've been dating for years and did everything. So I laid back with her cuddling up to me as I stroked her hair softly. She just looked up at me smiling as I smiled back softly.

(Y/n): "I love you Raven."
Raven: "And I love you baby." She said blushing from that part as I blushed myself never hearing her call me that. I pulled her closer whispering in her ear.
(Y/n): "I... I actually love you Raven..." I whispered before kissing her head as she was bright red leaning up to my ear.
Raven: "I really love you too baby I didnt call you that cause of how much you cried I meant it." She whispered before softly nibbling my ear. I blushed more looking at her as she smiled and laid her head on my chest. I just stroked her hair smiling seriously.

(Y/n): "Hey Tai I have good news and bad news buddy." I said getting his attention. "Good new me and Raven aren't actually dating." I said as  Raven sat up looking at me angrily as he rushed over asking her out. "Yup we werent dating that entire time."
Raven: "(Y/n) wtf?!?"
Tai: "That's awesome so Raven now will you go out with me please?"
(Y/n): "Tai I wasn't finished that was the good news. The bad news is..." I trailed off grabbing his arm slowly bending it backs until he relented approaching Raven. "I have fallen in love with Raven so you can forget ever having her. Now Raven will you be my girlfriend?" I asked as she nodded hugging me tightly as I saw the hurt in Tais eyes. I shrugged at him kissing her head.

Raven: "That's was a mean prank to play on him."
(Y/n): "This coming from the woman who might I mind you snapped up a broken and easily influenced depressed man and forced him to be your boyfriend for 2 weeks?"
Raven: "You know you loved it!"
(Y/n): "Only when you helped with my depression but you were terrible at everything else including kissing." I said with a small wink as she steamed a little getting pretend angry.
Raven: "Oh yeah? How's this then?" She said pushing me back on the bed before placing her lips on mine forcing her tongue into my mouth as I blushed slightly but held her close as I pushed her tongue back into her own mouth pushing mine in as well as we took small breaks to breath before returning to the feverous make out session. When we finally stopped we both panted smiling softly at each other.

(Y/n): "And to think this started out as a lie and then turned to the truth." I said as she nodded cuddling up to me.
