The Knight of Fire Claims His Vengeance At Last

Cinder pov

When Siff had barked I was shocked as I saw him carrying both Winter and Weiss who were badly injured. I quickly sealed Weiss's wounded but slowly did Winter still angry with her. But once I did that Siff picked us all up running to the park that was set ablaze. I felt both of them clinging to me in tears telling me everything that happened. I was tearing myself as we approached the charred remains of the park. In the middle laid a dead Qrow with (Y/n)s sword shoved through his heart and a lifeless (Y/n) oozing blood and dark sludge from his wounds. We all wanted to help him but Siff wouldn't let us no matter how much we begged. He knew something we didn't as we all cried as Siff howled loud into the morning but we all stopped seeing a white being crouching beside (Y/n) he wore steel armor that was covered in tattered blue cloth. We noticed his right arm was limp as he shook (Y/n). Siff slowly approached the figure with his tail wagging furiously as the figure laughed softly petting Siff.

Artorias: "I'm sorry Siff but I can't stay long this is using my last bit of power left in the world." He said before reaching into (Y/n) pulling out a large black seed pulsating with black sludge pouring out. "I will take his piece of the abyss and destroy it so me may be free of this curse..." He said crushing it as we three watched in shock. "You three im sorry but he isn't breathing and hes lost too much blood so he isn't coming back. Im sorry but he is dead and joining me Siffs previous owner and (Y/n) Artorias. I'm sorry for your lose." He says as we started crying again hugging Siff as he howls with tears falling down. We stared at (Y/n) slowly approaching him hoping he would pull through but he laid there lifeless as the crimson liquid continues pouring out of his body. I jumped down and held him close crying loudly burying my face into his chest. I stopped when I felt his hand softly cup my cheek. I stared at him in tears but smiled as he stared at me. But I could tell he wasn't able to see me and he was weakly breathing.

(Y/n): "W...who's t...there?" He asked weakly as I held his hand pressing it against my cheek.
Cinder: "Its me baby. Its me Cinder I'm here with Weiss, Winter, Siff, and Artorias please hold in there. We can get you help." I cried holding him tightly.
(Y/n): "I'm...I'm...I'm sorry.... I l...love you Cinder... But this... Is good bye... Weiss...stay at Bea...Beacon...study and train...hard...keep your...friends closer... A...and winter...f...find some...someone...nice...S...S...Siff your such a g...good boy...keep all three...of...of...of...them safe..." He said struggling to get every word out as I cried more holding him. He made me look at him as he softly kissed my head before everything fell limp. I shook him wanting another kiss and kept shaking him screaming his name wanting him to come back. Winter and Weiss dragged me away in tears trying to comfort me as I watched the spirit of Artorias and (Y/n) vanish waving slowly with their left hands as they completely disappeared.

Time skip 3 weeks Cinder pov (Y/n) funeral

I refuse to believe it to this day as me and Winter got dressed for (Y/n)s funeral. We lived together in a support system of sorts cause this hurt us the most alongside his parents. When we walked out of his house we were greeted by Siff who was another way for us to remember. As we arrived at the funeral home 20 minutes later we were greeted by the crestfallen faces of Ciaran, Gough, his parents, Weiss, Ruby, Blake, Yang, Taiyang, Neo, Emerald, Mercury, Roman, and Adam. Slowly and painfully everyone stood up sharing their fondest memories of him in tears. When it was Winters turn I went up with her as well as Weiss did as she choked back sobs regaling how she met (Y/n) and fell in love with him. But she also mentioned how she hurt him cause of Qrows darkness and couldnt forgive herself. Then it was my turn I was silent for a few moments before clearing my throat.

Cinder: "When I first met (Y/n) we were enemies and fought constantly. But the more I saw him the more I wanted to talk and get to know him. And I slowly fell for him and admitted my feelings to him the night before his death. I cared for him and was happy he shared my love with me. The few hours I was with him were the best of my life and I miss him terribly. I comforted him through his heart break and his night terror and was going to spend all the time I could with him. But he left me when dawn came and went with Siff to fight the darkness. I regret not waking up at that moment to help..." I said breaking into tears as Weiss and Winter stroked my back calming me. "I remember his face clearly and everything he said before his last breath. I can't get over it and only hope this is a nightmare but every morning I wake up to him not beside me I knew it was reality. No matter how much I wanted him back hr will never come back. He gave his life to avenge his best friend and brother. And to protect us from the last bit of darkness from the abyss. So I live everyday for him in remembrance of his sacrifice. Now let us proceed to the burying..." I said in tears as we walked out Siff carrying (Y/n)s casket on his back as we approached the graveyard. When they started lowering his casket Gough, Yang, and Taiyang had to pull me, Ciaran, Winter and Weiss from his casket as they buried him. We all cried wanting him back calling out his name. But we were calmed as we watched Siff howl loudly towards the sky. We watched him lay in between (Y/n) grave and the one beside it. We read the epitaph on his tombstone.

He who gives his life for all will be given a place in everyone's heart.

We cried slowly leaving his grave as Siff followed whimpering. I looked back one last time seeing the barren grave then seeing something on the ground. I rushed back after rubbing my eyes and in tears rushing to his grave. There laid agaisnt his tombstone was his sword and blood covered helmet and beside him I realized was Artorias grave with his helmet and sword as well.

Cinder: "Thank you for everything my love (Y/n) and thank you Artorias for easing his pain." I said closing my eyes cradling (Y/n) helmet holding it close to my chest. Then I felt someone touch my shoulder I turned around seeing no one then turned back to the grave seeing his white feet. I looked up in tears as there was my loves ghost crouching down to hug me. He didn't say anything but kiss me on my lips before giving me a letter vanishing completely. I looked at the letter walking back to the group as we walked home sobbing and whimpering. When we got back we opened his door and sat on the couch as I placed the helmet in between us as I opened the letter reading it.

Cinder: "Dear Cinder, Winter, and Siff
I'm sorry I left you all in pain but dont worry. I did what I could if it wasn't for everyone I would have died in vain. So I'm leaving this letter for you all don't mourn my death. It was for the best as I fulfilled my mission of stopping the Abyss dark corruption from spreading. I want Winter to know I didn't mean all those mean things I said I knew you were being controlled by the darkness. And I care for you so please don't blame yourself for what happened. And you Cinder I'm sorry I left you heart broken and lamenting but please stop. I love you too much to rest in peace knowing you were in pain. So I am leaving Siff to you both I want you two to stay your strong beautiful selves. Good bye for the final time... Love (Y/n)..." I said in tears hugging Winter as we cried loudly, lamenting the love of our lives.
