So this was requested by the one and only HaveltheOmen or better known as TheEvilOmen this was asked Saturday morning at 12:01 or something after he was done testing me about my own stories. It was hilarious how rapidly I answered those fuckers. Anyway onto the story! By the way modern au :3
Blake pov
I sat in my seat watching the clock as it slowly ticked down. It was Friday and I really wanted to get out of school and go to work. I enjoyed my work a lot and my roommate's all enjoyed visiting. But we made sure no one from school knows about it.
Port: "Alright class I know it's Friday and spring break is coming but calm yourselves. I SAID CALM YOURSELVES!!" He shouted as no one listened I glanced back at my roommate's Ruby, Weiss, and Yang. They were talking with the new kid (y/n). He was quiet and sweet which was a nice change from all the normal creepy, pervs. Well Jaune and Ren weren't that bad but Jaune needs to give up on Weiss.
Port: "WILL YOU ALL CA-" He shouted but was overruled by the bell ringing as the students ran out the door. Everyone but me, roomies, and our friends ran out the door. "...Kids these day need to remember to respect their elders... Especially during a story."
(Y/n): "Have a good break Mr. Port."
Port: "Ah yes you too kids. You all are my favorite students cause your not remotely close to being as annoying as the other hooligans." He said with a hearty chuckle as he waved us off.
We all walked out as each talked about our plans for break. Jaune and them were gonna go rock climbing and camping. Ruby obviously relaxing with Yang. Weiss was gonna brush up on some subjects and relax. But (y/n) caught my attention.
(Y/n): "I'm gonna go spend my break reading stories and visiting different cafes." I flinched slightly as I worked at a maid cafe. I glanced back at the others as they were trying to suppress their giggles.
Blake: "(y/n) why not spend time at home?"
(Y/n): "Cause it gets boring when you live by yourself." He said as his voice portrayed a bit of sadness. "But hey I got you all as friends so at least I have that to look forward to." He said sounding happier as I smiled giggling slightly.
Blake: "Your so different (y/n). In a very good way."
(Y/n): "Why do you say that?"
Weiss: "Take Jaune for example. He is constantly trying for someone who shows no interest whatsoever. But you just smile and act kind and polite."
Ruby: "Or Cardin he's a loudmouth bully and boasts all the time. You don't, you shy away from praise and make everyone feel better." They said as he looked away. I saw a tint of red spreading across his face.
Blake: "And your also very cute unlike most guys." I said making his blush even worse.
We all joked around and such enjoying the time together. Then we came to the four-way that signalled our split. Me and my roomies went right as Jaune and them went left. But (y/n) just stopped and turned around.
Blake: "(y/n) is your house the other way?"
(Y/n): "Yeah but I don't mind the extra walking helps keep me active instead of reading books all day." He said waving us off as he started back. We returned the wave saying our goodbyes as we headed home. But I gave Yang my backpack and headed to work.
It was about 10 minutes until I got into town and entered the cafe. The cafe in question was At Your Service. Maid specializing cafe that didn't allow pervs or jerks inside. I went back into the employee area and started getting dressed. Once my maid outfit was on I attached the fake but real looking tail and cat ears and sighed.
Blake: "Why do I have to wear these ridiculous things?!?"
Vanessa: "Cause you look super cute in them besides we've been getting a lot more customers ever since you started wearing them." She said as I groaned knowing she was telling the truth. "Oh shit we have a cute guy coming inside!" She said turning to me gesturing to come closer. I did so and I bit my lip to calm myself. It was (y/n) sitting by the window. He was just looking at his with a look of sadness. I turned to Vanessa as she was giggling slightly.
Vanessa: "You like him don't you?"
Blake: "What? No! I know him from school..."
Vanessa: "Then tell me is he popular with other girls?"
Blake: "Not at all. The other girls but my roommate's and friends just ignore him. I guess it's cause he isn't a boastful muscle headed prick like the rest." I said as she nodded as we watched him pull out a book and start reading. "I guess I should go take his order." I said heading out with the tray and menu.
Blake: "Hello sir how can I help you?" I said handing the menu to him as I closed the book after marking the page.
(Y/n): "What kinds of tea do you have?"
Blake: "O-Oh uh we have iced tea, oolong tea, and others." I said as he smiled slightly handing me the menu.
(Y/n): "Just an oolong tea please." He said reopening his book as I stared at him dumbfounded. But quickly regained myself taking the order back. In a few minutes the chef had made some tea and I brought it out to him. "Thank you very much ma'am." He said without looking at me. "May I have the bill now?" He said after taking a few sips.
Blake: "But sir you've only had a drink would you not like some food? Our cheesecake is delicious and our top seller." I said trying to coax him into staying. But he shook his head. I just left and grabbed the bill leaving it for him. In a few minutes he finished his tea while reading.
When he got up I smiled softly hoping he'd look at me. But he didn't and started heading out.
(Y/n): "Thank you for the tea. It was delicious and just what I needed."
Blake: "T-Thank you sir... Remember we are always at your service." I said offering a small bow as he headed out the door. I went to the table he drank at and picked up the cup and the payment for the bill. But I nearly dropped the cup seeing a 20 resting underneath the bill. I just took it and the money for the bill up to the register placing the bill payment inside. I headed back and placed the 20 in my bag. I was shocked not only was that my biggest tip ever, but it was a class mate who didn't even know it was me.
The rest of the work day was a blur as my thoughts were only on (y/n). How he just was so calming and sweet. But soon my thoughts were diverted as my bag was forcibly ripped from my hands as the guy took off running.
Thief: "Thanks stupid bitch for the money!" He shouted with a cackle as he was so far ahead of me. I was about to call out for help then chase him down but I felt someone tap my shoulder.
(Y/n): "Excuse me Miss sorry if this is a hassle but could you hold my glasses?" He said as I looked back to see (y/n) smiling softly with his glasses in hand. I just nodded taking them as he was dressed in different clothes then before. "Alright thank you now if you excuse me..." He said before taking off into a full on sprint. I was powerless just watching him as he chased down the thief tackling him onto the ground. I watched barely able to tell due to the terrible lighting as one figure ran away and the other towards me. At first I thought it was the thief back for more. But no it was (y/n) dusty and dirty panting heavily with my back in hand.
(Y/n): "H-Here Y-You go...." He gasped out between heavy breathing as I took it staring at him.
Blake: "Thanks... Are you okay?"
(Y/n): "Yeah just... Feel like throwing up after pushing an already exhausted body past it's limit." He said leaning against a wall panting more. I just rubbed his back as he asked if I was okay. I replied that I was fine and he smiled before heading off. I watched as he vanished before I remembered I had his glasses.
I sighed knowing he was too far ahead so I headed home. When I got there about 7 minutes later I came in the door and closed it behind me. It was about 9 so I locked the door as the others were in the living room watching TV or talking.
Yang: "Hey... Are you okay? Your looking kinda pale like a slight bit."
Blake: "Just... Got robbed..." I said as they all turned to me worried.
Ruby: "What did they take???"
Blake: "My bag..." I said holding up the object in question.
Ruby: "But... You... What?!?"
Blake: "(y/n)... He got it back for me..." I said as they stared at me smirking.
Weiss: "I think he has a crush on you."
Blake: "Doubtful he didn't even know it was me. He didn't say Blake but Miss. I don't blame him it was pretty dark for some reason." I said explaining to them everything from the cafe to here. They just smirked and giggled.
Yang: "How is he so dumb yet so smart??!"
Ruby: "He... He just didn't even recognize you!!!"
Weiss: "But he did tip her a twenty and got her bag back. How about you thank him and reveal its you tomorrow if he stops by again?"
Blake: "Sure but he looked... I don't know like really tired and pale when I saw him both times.." I said with a yawn while stretching. "We can discuss tomorrow for now dinner then bed." I said grabbing some food from the fridge and heading upstairs to my room.
2 weeks later
I kept seeing (y/n) during my shift looking so tired and such. I felt kinda worried since when he could spend more then a few minutes we would talk and get closer. He still didn't even know it was me. But with how nice and thoughtful he is I... I kinda find the oblivious part of his nature cute.
Glynda: "Good morning students I hope you all had a wonderful spring break." She said as most people groaned wishing it lasted longer. But I glanced back to see (y/n) fast asleep. I looked at the glasses case in my bag and told myself I would tell him and confess to him during lunch. "Mr. (L/n)..." She snapped as he was still fast asleep. "MR.(L/N) PLEASE WAKE UP!!!" She shouted smacking his desk with a ruler. Still he didn't wake up. "Hmm... He might be sick Miss Belladonna please help him to the nurse's." She said as I nodded picking up his bag. It felt a little heavy then I shook his shoulder. He just groggily looked up.
Blake: "Come on we are taking a trip." I said as that was all it took to convince him. He stood up as we walked out and down to the nurse's. I kept glancing back as he looked like he was about to pass out. When we finally got there he sat down as the nurse checked on him.
Nurse: "Hmm... It seems like a severe case of overextertion and lack of sleep. Tell me (y/n) how much sleep did you get over break?"
(Y/n): "...About... I don't know... 13 or so hours..." He said as I stared at him.
Nurse: "Do you work at all?"
(Y/n): "Yes I work four part time jobs..." He said yawning quietly.
Nurse: "You should have known better alright call your bosses telling them your taking a few sick days and if they have any problems have them call me. Now do you have a ride home?"
(Y/n): "No I live alone."
Nurse: "Blake could you take him home?"
Blake: "If I can stay to make sure he rests easy?"
Nurse: "Sure I will tell your teachers you both caught a bad cold." She said with a soft smile as I when back upstairs grabbed my stuff and called my mom to come pick us up. It took her about 5 or so minutes to come to school. I opened the door and help him inside as she gave me a knowing look as I blushed looking away. I sat beside him in the back as she started driving to my house. I felt him rest his head on my shoulder without warning causing me to jump slightly. I looked down to see he had fallen asleep again.
Kali: "So Blake is this your boyfriend?"
Blake: "M-Mom... He's just a friend... That I really like..."
Kali: "You didn't ask him yet have you?"
Blake: "I was gonna at lunch but he's sick now so I will at home." I said as she flashed me a faithful smile before coming to a stop. She helped me carry him in laying him on the couch and our stuff on the floor. I thanked her as she drove off and I went inside.
I sat on the arm rest softly stroking his hair as he slept. He was so quiet and nice and just perfect for me.
Blake: "I like you a lot (y/n)..." I whispered out about to gently place a kiss on his head until he mumbled something. I got closer to hear him.
(Y/n): "I.... I... Really like.... You ma'am..." He mumbled out as I felt confused. I couldn't tell if he heard me or was dreaming about someone else. I felt a little upset so I got on my knees in front of him softly shaking him. He stirred a little before falling back asleep. I pouted and shook him harder as he sat up opening one eye.
(Y/n): "H-Huh... Blake?" He asked as I nodded.
Blake: "Where are your glasses (y/n)?"
(Y/n): "I uh... I lost them I don't remember where I last had them."
Blake: "Heh... Here ya doof." I said fishing out the case from my bag and giving it to him. He just looked at it then me and back at it before finally taking it.
(Y/n): "But how...?"
Blake: "You told me to hold onto them when you got my bag back the night of spring break." I said as his eyes shot wide open staring at me.
(Y/n): "That was you!?!" He asked as I nodded giggling.
Blake: "I was also your maid every time you went to my cafe. Always at your service." I said as he blushed bright red looking away. "Is something wrong?"
(Y/n): "Your... Your gonna laugh at me...."
Blake: "Try me."
(Y/n): "I... I like you a lot... I mean I liked you as the waitress and was gonna ask you out but..."
Blake: "You didn't know it was me cause you didn't have your glasses on you whenever you came in."
(Y/n): "Yeah..." He said looking away as I made him look me in the eyes.
Blake: "Your smart, kind, funny, quiet, peaceful, and chivalrous. Your also very cute and charming. But your a workaholic, no endurance, and very oblivious." I said as he looked almost in tears. "But then again I love your bad things as well." I said getting closer to his face pressing my lips against his. It was my first kiss and it was magical. I closed my eyes savoring the moment for as long as I could. When I opened them again I saw his eyes were closed as well. I slowly pulled away as he opened his eyes.
(Y/n): "S-So does that mean?"
Blake: "Yes you oblivious goof. We are going out now." I said helping him up as we went to my room. I laid him down on my bed cuddling up to him after we took our shoes off. I smiled softly as he fell asleep quickly and I kissed his head. "Your so oblivious... But oblivious affection is never a bad thing."
So basically guys this was a great story. Really long and really detailed. I liked it. Now you guys need to request more!!! I need more things to write! That and you guys need to ask stuff on the latest Q&A! Now also more request, Easter's is coming up, and depressed! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
