"Like father, like daughter." Lottie rolled her eyes playfully, bringing her cigarette to her lips.

"You could say that." Sophia smirked.

"So, what're you reading?" Lottie asked, looking down at the book Sophia was holding.

"Little Women," Sophia replied. "I've read it before actually, but it's one of my favourites!"

"Hey I've read that too!" Charlotte exclaimed. "It's an amazing book!"

"Agreed!"

The pair sat talking about their favourite books for a while. Charlotte was surprisingly enjoying Sophia's company, she was quite a sweet girl.

A few hours later, Lottie was sitting at the Hufflepuff table in the great hall with Kaycie, Theo and Alex.

"Charms first," she mumbled, glancing down at her timetable. "Then transfigurations..."

"And then double potions with Snape..." Theodore sighed, biting into his toast.

"Which one is Snape?" Asked Kaycie, glancing along the professors table. She briefly recognised McGonagall from the night of the attack, along with Sirius Black and Remus Lupin (two people she despised.)

"The one with greasy black hair and long black robes," Charlotte smirked.

"Oh." Kaycie grimaced. "He doesn't look very pleasant."

"He's not," snorted Alex. "He hates us, we set his hair on fire once and Theo and I have lost Slytherin house a good few house points over time..."

"Aw, you sound like wonderful students!" Kaycie laughed.

"I don't think he would agree with that!" Theo smirked.

"He wouldn't!" Lottie chipped in. "He'd do anything to give us detentions!"

The four all laughed as they continued to discuss Severus Snape's strong hate for them all.

"What are we laughing about?" Erin asked, sitting down next to a now very unhappy Theo.

"Er...nothing." He replied awkwardly.

"It wouldn't surprise me if it was something stupid," Erin rolled her eyes. "There's something about gay people...always laughing at unnecessary things."

Charlotte went to lunge forwards, however a grip on her wrist stopped her.

"Don't," Kaycie whispered.

"Why not!" Lottie hissed, clenching her fists.

"Charlotte don-"

Kaycie was cut off as Lottie punched Erin square in the nose.

"Oh. You did it anyway." Kaycie glanced between Charlotte and Erin, her eyes wide.

The whole hall went silent.

"You bitch!" Gasped Erin.

"You deserved that." Charlotte said, shooting her a glare.

"Lupin."

Lottie winced as she turned to look at Professor Sprout.

"Morning!" She smiled nervously.

"My office. Now." She turned to Erin. "And you."

Erin - whose nose was now bleeding - rolled her eyes as she stood up.

"If you keep rolling your eyes they'll get stuck." Charlotte smirked. "It would be a real shame if they did."

Erin scoffed as she followed professor Sprout, slightly embarrassed by all of the students watching her.

A few minutes later, Charlotte was sitting opposite Sprout with her legs crossed and her head rested on the palm of her hand.

"Well then, explain." Sprout said, gesturing to Erin's nose which now had tissues held against it.

"She deserved it."

"I didn't!"

"Did!"

"Girls!" Sprout snapped. "Charlotte, elaborate!"

"She was being homophobic - again!" Charlotte said angrily.

"Miss Johnson!" Sprout gasped. "Is this true?"

"Of course not!" Erin shook her head. "She's lying! All I was doing was talk about my excitement for the tri wizard tournament...she said she was jealous that Kaycie wasn't able to participate! Of course I said that was preposterous, Kaycie isn't of age and then she punched me!"

"What!" Lottie gasped. "No I didn't!"

"Charlotte?" Sprout frowned. "I do hope this isn't true-"

"Of course it isn't!" Lottie cried.

"It is, Professor! She seemed to be in a bad mood...I really didn't see it coming, I would never say anything against homosexuals!"

"Charlotte...I'm afraid I'll have to give you four weeks of detention." Sprout sighed.

"What!" Lottie gasped. "Come on Professor, you know I wouldn't-"

"I suggest you both go back to lessons, immediately." Sprout said sternly. "Charlotte I shall see you this evening."

Charlotte didn't reply as she left the room, feeling slightly betrayed by her favourite professor.

Lottie sat in transfigurations, a scowl on her face as she fiddled with her nose stud.

"Hey Charlie!" Harry Potter grinned.

"Harold." She replied bluntly.

"Hey - what's up?" He frowned.

"Nothing," Lottie shrugged.

"I saw you punched Erin - much deserved if you ask me." Harry laughed.

"Yeah! You've got a great swing!" Ron Weasley interrupted.

"Agreed, I've been waiting for someone to do that for a while," Lucas added.

"Thanks!" Lottie giggled.

"Honestly boys! Physical violence is not for promotion!" Hermione Granger scowled, turning to Lottie as she hid her smile. "Even if it was deserved!"

"So why'd you do it?" Harry whispered as everyone turned to McGonagall.

"She was being herself." Lottie replied. "You know what that means."

"Was she rude to you?" Harry asked worriedly.

"Not to me...er to Kaycie." Lottie sighed. "She was being homophobic."

"Merlin, I hate her." Harry said through gritted teeth. "Are you alright though? Is she in trouble?"

"Of course not." Lottis shook her head. "She got away with it, as usual."

"Oh...I'm sorry Lottie."

"It's fine."

The two both sighed as the lesson continued, neither of them particularly happy with the situation.

Lottie could only think one thing, she hated Erin Johnson.
