Charlotte Lupin sat in front of Poppy Pomfrey as she examined the young witches arm, carefully checking that it had fully healed before the quidditch match.

"Well, everything looks fine." Poppy said with a small smile. "You can play today."

"Really?" Lotties eyes lit up in pure happiness.

"Yeah! Just be careful and do try to avoid the bludgers!"

"Got it Poppy."

"You're free to go," said Pomfrey, "oh and Lupin?"

"Yeah?"

"Good luck on the game," Poppy smiled softly. Charlotte reminded her ever so much of the girl that used to love quidditch with her whole heart, the girl with the same dark red hair, the girl with the same cheeky grin.

Her heart ached for Adelaide Winters, but also for Charlotte Lupin. Poppy Pomfrey wasn't dumb. If the child was anything like her mother then she was beyond stubborn, and for good reason. It was almost as if she could see straight through Charlotte's mind, she could read her like a book and she could just tell that Remus Lupin was in for one hell of a big journey if he wants his daughter back.

The simple question is, would he give up before Lottie could let down her barriers?

𓃟𓃟𓃟

"Everybody ready?" Asked Cedric Diggory, his eyes scanning the quidditch pitch that stood in front of him.

"Ready!" The team of Hufflepuffs dressed in their yellow and black robes responded cheerfully.

"Amazing! You all know what to do, we can crush the ravenclaws easy, just try your best!"

"Yeah!" Everyone shouted, waves of excitement rushing through them as they stared at the pitch in front of them.

Charlotte held her broom firmly, almost as if she let go it would escape from her fingertips and never return. She was excited for the match, she knew they could win easily, as long as Diggory didn't spend the whole time gawking over Cho Chang.

"Let's get going then!" Diggory shouted, he seemed for confident today then he had done the previous week. Perhaps it was due to the fact he was now aware of the match, or maybe it was just because the girl he had an ever so obvious crush on would be there, but either way nobody seemed to mind.

The team strolled onto the pitch, the grass crunching as their quidditch boots slammed against the ground, the broom sticks skimming the grass tops as they made their way towards the centre of the pitch.

"Welcome to the second match of the year, Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw!" Lee Jordan's voice boomed across the pitch. The stands where filled with people from all different houses, everyone was excited to see who would won whether their own house was playing or not.

"Captains shake hands!" James Potter instructed.

The pair did as they were told, sending quick smiles to the other before turning their focus back on the match.

With a blow of James's whistle, the teams were off.

Charlotte kicked of the ground, forcing her broom into the air as she headed straight for the quaffle, a Ranveclaw chaser already tailing her as he sped up his pace.

"And Charlotte Lupin has headed straight for the quaffle! I must say she is one of the best chasers in the school...even if I'm a gryffindor I still agr- yes Minnie this is important!" Lee was saying, his voice echoing around the pitch.

Lottie smiled slightly, she quite liked Lee Jordan, his comments were always funny when it came to quidditch.

She made a quick move and grabbed the quaffle, making a sharp turn towards the left as she clung to the quaffle.

Jeremy Stretton, who had been tailing her, sighed in annoyance, turning his broom so he could attempt to catch up with the ginger girl.

"And Lupin had the quaffle! She passes to Applebees, passed to Macavoy....and she scores! 10 POINTS TO HUFFLEPUFF!"

The crowd cheered in applause and Charlotte's smile stretched even wider, as she realised that the Hufflepuffs were already winning.

"Stretton is in possession! Passes to Burrow and OH! Applebee intercepts, she passes to Lupin...LUPIN SCORES! 10 POINTS TO HUFFLEPUFF!"

Charlotte could hear the crowd cheering the hufflepuffs on. The adrenaline was pumping through her body, this was going to be a good match, she could already tell.

"And Ravenclaws in possession! Burrow passes to Stretton....almost had that taken by Macavoy! Stretton passes to Davies....Davies makes the hit and 10 POINTS TO RAVENCLAW!"

The score was 20:10, Hufflepuffs in the lead and Charlotte Lupin intended on keeping it that way.

"Hufflepuff are doing great this year!" Lee Jordan said as he watched the game play out. "It seems like Diggorys really got them - oh! Davies made a shot! Herbert Fleet blocks it! The Hufflepuffs are still up by ten points!"

The game continued and the crowd were all watching intensely, the enigma the game was creating simply got even better, the match getting more and more intense.

Lottie dodged the bludgers being sent in her direction alot more carefully today, she didn't fancy spending anymore time in the hospital wing.

"Applebees has the quaffle, passes to Macavoy....almost a hit there! These bludgers are really coming in today!" Lee gasped as he watched the Ravenclaw beater whack another bludger with his bat.

The game went on for ten minutes, the score was now 40:30, the Hufflepuffs winning still.

"And another goal by Charlotte Lupin! She is on a role today!"

More time went by the Ravenclaws where catching up.

"Davies scores! Ten points to Ravenclaw!" Lee announced, "they're tied so far..."

Lottie launched the quaffle in the direction of the hoops, although the Ravenclaw keeper, Fleet, blocked it before she could make the goal.

"Is that? Cedric Diggory has seen the snitch!" Lee announced and everyone drew in sharp breaths as they watched the Hufflepuff seeker make a dive for the golden ball.

"CEDRIC DIGGORY HAS CAUGHT THE SNITCH! HUFFLEPUFF WIN!"

Lottie flew down, a laugh escaping her lips as she pulled Tamsin into a hug, the both of them smiling happily as everyone in the stands cheered for the team.

"We did it!" Cedric beamed.

"Heck yeah," Lottie grinned back.

All was well, and yet Lottie missed how Remus Lupin was sat in the stands, silently wishing her could be the one to pull his daughter in for a hug to congratulate her.

Soon he'd be able to, he hoped.
