Last part of this oneshot! ^_^ I hope you all like it, I really wanted to flesh out this story so I might've gotten a little carried away. It took waaay longer to write than I thought. Anyway, enjoy!
"C-Could it be...villains!?"
There were a good few seconds of silence between you three because you all knew the answer. Villains were here. This was not going to end well.
"We should go back to the dorms--" Todoroki started to say but you interjected.
"What if they are at the dorms? That's the easiest place to attack because you can see it from a distance. Plus they might want to fight the pro heroes first." You explained and Bakugou groaned loudly.
"Then what the fuck should we do? I could probably take these assholes in a fight anyway so we should just fuck 'em up. That's the best way!" He said, a devilish grin pulling at his lips. You wanted to fight the villains too but you knew it wasn't your place to do so. What could you do right now?
"We need to protect the people in class 1-B who are in the forest." You said. "Right now, the people in the forest are the most vulnerable."
"Y/n is right. Let's do what we can for now." Todoroki said with a resolved look on his face. Bakugou begrudgingly agreed with your plan and followed you two into the forest. There should be some 1-B students up ahead who were part of the exercise.
Help! Someone, help me.
"I hear Tsuburaba up ahead, he needs help!" You exclaimed, running faster. The brunette was from 1-B, and you were thanking you quirk that you were able to find him now. You broke through the brush and found the boy lying on the ground. He was mumbling quietly and you sighed. "He's pretty much knocked out."
"I'll carry him." Todoroki offered, hefting him onto his back with ease. You smiled, glad that your plan was working so far, but then you froze. Someone else's thoughts were invading your mind. "Let's go."
"What's going on!?" Bakugou asked you.
I have a job to do. I have to do my job!
"Ssh! I hear someone I don't recognize. They're close by." You told them. "He sounds crazy, I don't want to have to fight him."
Bakugou grinned. "I wouldn't mind it!"
Just then Mandalay's telepath quirk came in loud and clear in your head's, like an announcement at school. "We have discovered one of the villain's targets. It's a student named--Kacchan! Kacchan should avoid combat as much as possible. But the rest of the students, with permission granted by Eraserhead, are allowed to fight in self-defense. Understand!"
"Ugh! All this noise, it's bullshit!" Bakugou said.
"Bakugou the villain, he's going to attack!" You shouted, and just as the words escaped your mouth long sharp shards came flying out of nowhere. Luckily Todoroki stamped his foot down and created an ice wall to protect you four. "Don't be reckless Bakugou!"
You looked above to where the villain was, he was dressed in all black and he looked like he was suspended in the air. Those shards...they were his teeth.
The villain somersaulted into the trees which hid him from view for a little bit. "He's good, he knows what he's doing," Todoroki commented.
"His t-teeth extend and sharpen. That's his quirk!" You exclaimed despite your disgust with how strange the quirk was.
"This is all shit! You all can fight but I can't!? What the fuck!"
"Look out!" You pushed Bakugou out of the way as more shards extended towards you. One stabbed deep into your shoulder and you screamed out in pain. It pulled out of you, your blood spurted out of your wound, and you dropped to the ground. You held your hand to your bleeding wound and cursed under your breath. "D-Damn it..."
"Y/N!" Bakugou yelled out desperately but he was interrupted by the villain. His voice was low and desperate sounding. It echoed around you all like the wind itself.
"Let me see your flesh. I want to kill you." He menacingly said.
"This small fry is so dead! I'll kill you!!" Bakugou screamed at the villain, setting off multiple small explosions from his hands. You could tell Bakugou was extremely angry because you had been on the receiving end of his anger so many times but now he was actually trying to protect. He was willing to put his life on the line to protect you now.
"Bakugou...I'm fine...just be careful." You told him, breathing out in short huffs. He looked down at you, his red eyes filled with a mixture of emotions. Anger, worry, desperation.
Sweat formed on your forehead, your wound wouldn't stop bleeding. "You're not fine. You're injured--wait was that noise? What the fuck is going on now?"
There was a loud rumbling noise, almost like a tank was rushing towards your little group. You focused your quirk and picked up on three people heading straight for you. "Midoriya, Shoji, and Tokoyami are headed this way. Tokoyami's thoughts sound strange though, he might've...he might've lost control of Dark Shadow."
Just as you had predicted, Shoji broke through the bushes. He was carrying a very injured Midoriya on his back and you noticed one of Shoji's arms were bloodied. It made your injury look mild.
"They lured Tokoyami here. To attack this villain for us!" You exclaimed with pride at their brilliant plan. With Bakugou and Todoroki here Tokoyami's out of control quirk would be neutralized too.
This was actually going to work out.
...
Nothing was working out anymore.
After Tokoyami defeated the crazy flesh-hungry villain attacking your group, you all decided that it was your duty to protect Bakugou and head to the main camp building.
That was the plan at least. Until Mr. Compress showed up and managed to capture both Bakugou and Tokoyami right from under your noses. Even Tsuyu and Uraraka who had shown up at the tail end of Tokoyami's victory had been blindsided. They were usually fast reactors to emergency situations.
Now it was a race against time for you guys in order to rescue the two boys from the villain's grasp. You all ran after Mr. Compress but he was too fast, how was he even able to jump from tree to tree like that?
"He's going to take them to someone named Dabi!" You said, reading his thoughts even though he was almost out of your radius.
"Y/n, you look pale. You've lost a lot of blood maybe you should--" Shoji began to say but you cut him off.
"No! We all have to rescue them!" You shouted loudly. If Midoriya could do it with his injuries you should be fine.
Bakugou, I'll rescue you. I will!
"We'll never catch them like this. I have an idea!" Midoriya said and you all stopped running to listen to him.
His idea: Use Uraraka's quirk to make him, you, Shoji, and Todoroki float then Tsuyu would throw you towards Mr. Compress with her frog tongue.
"Let's do this then!" You said.
"Good luck you guys!" Uraraka said while she activated her quirk. Your feet left the ground and you were weightless for a few moments, determined to have this plan work no matter what. Tsuyu wasted no time in throwing you guys up in the air and launching you forward at incredible speed.
In no time the four of you caught up with Mr. Compress and crashed into him. All of you fell to the ground with a thud, right in front of the rest of the villains.
There was a good moment of surprised shock from the villains at your crash landing but after everyone sized each other up, they attacked. The blonde girl ran towards Midoriya with a knife, a look of glee on her face.
"I didn't think I'd see you again cutie!" She said with a smile on her lips.
"I'll get her!" You told Midoriya stepping in front of him and getting into a fighting stance. She swiped at the air a few times and missed you. You dodged her quick movements and made a grab for her arm to make her let go of the knife. She made another stab at you but you evaded her and gave her a rough slap with the back of your hand.
She stumbled a little and backed away from you, her lips pulling into a frown. "You're not very nice."
"Don't try and stab me then." You replied.
It was complete pandemonium here. Todoroki was creating walls of ice everywhere, Shoji was going after Mr. Compress, and Midoriya was miraculously helping him. Where were the captured boys though? Were they still with Mr. Compress?
"Shoji we need to get Mr--"
But before you could finish, the villain with the spiky black hair and Todoroki both dove towards the ground. The rest of the villains went behind the black-haired guy to go through a swirling purple portal that had appeared now and Bakugou came out of his marble.
You ran towards him without hesitating, willing your legs to carry you faster. "Bakugou! Grab my hand!" You screamed.
He was so close. His hand was so close to yours. "Y/n, don't. Don't come near me." He sounded scared, like a little kid almost. You didn't want this to be the last time you were going to see him. You still had things to talk to him about!
The villain had his hand around Bakugou's throat and the two of them backed into a swirling purple portal, just like the one that had been at USJ. "Bakugou!"
"I'll be ok." He said, before his entire body was taken in by the portal. The villains had escaped with Bakugou.
This was the end.
...
You were too depressed to do anything, and now you were confined to a hospital bed. With your blood loss combined with your shock at what happened to Bakugou, you were forced to stay at the hospital for a few days.
Midoriya came to visit you once during your time there.
"We'll bring him back. I promise you that y/n." Was what he told you and you begged him to let you go with them.
"I-I can help, please I feel so useless like this." You said, your voice breaking as you talked.
Midoriya smiled. "It's alright. You've done enough. We'll bring him back to you."
He left and you cried until you couldn't cry anymore. Your feelings towards Bakugou were too confusing, and this situation just escalated everything. You only knew one thing.
That you need to see him again. No matter what.

3 days after All Might's retirement
Midoriya kept his promise to you and Bakugou was rescued with no injuries. You had been released from the hospital a day after you watched All Night's final battle on television. It seemed like everything happened so fast, everyone was in shock.
Especially Bakugou who you got to see when you visited his house. You two lived near each other and you walked over to his house for the first time in years.
His mom let you in and told you that she was sorry for all the trouble her son caused when she saw your injury. You laughed it off though. "I'm fine actually, I just wanted to see Bakugou for a minute. I...well I wanted to see how he's doing."
She nodded. "He's upstairs in his room."
You went up the stairs and stopped at the hallway there. All of the doors were closed so you called out his name. "Bakugou, it's y/n...which one's your room?"
You heard something thud like he had fallen on the floor and then a string of unrepeatable curses came from Bakugou's mouth. The door right next to you swung open and Bakugou stood there, eyebrows furrowed. "Y-You're here! Why?"
You paused and fiddled with your hands. "I-I was worried--well I was concerned--actually...I just wanted to see you. That's all."
Bakugou leaned against the doorframe and grinned down at you. "I'm fine, worrying about me isn't going to do shit."
"I feel guilty. I didn't do enough, I just stayed in the hospital and did nothing!"
Bakugou stood up straight and placed both of his hands on your shoulders. "I wouldn't have wanted you there, it was too dangerous. If you got hurt because of me again then I would...I don't know what I'd do."
"If I got hurt because of you? Like in middle school? Or when that villain stabbed me?"
Bakugou gazed at you, hurt flashing in his red eyes. Why'd you have to bring up your past now?
"S-Sorry, I came here to see you not make you feel guilty." You told him. His grip on your shoulders tightened and you were quiet for a moment. "Bakugou...can I hug you?"
"Yeah." He replied, a little hesitant. You leaned forward and wrapped your arms around him, your hands resting on his shoulder blades. He was tense so you held him closer to you.
He buried his face in the crook of your neck and relaxed to your touch. You hoped he didn't hear how fast your heart was hammering in your chest, or how warm your face was getting now. He had no right to make you feel this way. You knew that.
But it didn't change your feelings at all. "Bakugou, I'll accept your truce. W-When you said that we should forget about middle school."
He sighed. "Sorry, I was a real asshole to you...you intimidated me. You seemed so fucking sure of yourself, I was fucking angry that you could surpass me."
"I didn't know you felt that way. I was intimidated by you." You smiled. "You've changed, I like how you've changed." You said in a quiet voice. "Keep changing Bakugou. You're going to be a really great person someday. I know it."
His hands clutched your back, the fabric of your shirt balling up in his hands and you felt something damp on your neck. He breathed in harshly, like a sob. That was when you realized he was crying on your shoulder. You stayed silent and let him cry.
This was the first step towards something new between the two of you. Something that could be great.
