Cherry blossoms flowed freely as they danced within the summer breeze.

The winds were light, and the sounds were subtle allowing nature to create its own melody.

A young girl stood quietly as she watched an older boy with a similar appearance to her own, alter his stance continuously.

He would angle his blade from the right, then to the left, then high, and finally low. His movements were slow, very precise, but also very light.

The way he moved was similar to the petals that flowed in the breeze. Holding a similar level of grace almost as if he were dancing.

The young Suzume couldn't help but watch with eyes of admiration at his perfect form.

After a few minutes however Ryota suddenly stopped. He had a calm aura about him, focused and unwavering.

He gave his sister brief stare before giving her a warm smile.

This was the way Ryota had always been, unlike their mother who was cold and somewhat bitter, he seemed to have a warm spirit.

"Suzume, how about joining me this time around."

"Um..."

She thought about it momentarily before quickly coming to an answer.

She scratched the side of her face as her stare somewhat weakened.

Her voice seemed hesistant and a tad bit narrow, almost as if she were afraid.

"Wouldn't mom be mad?"

It was always tradition in the Fumiko household for the first born to learn the way of the sword. While the second is taught nothing, and simply remained as a vessel to continue on the bloodline.

Simply teaching her anything would be considered forbidden, and deep down Suzume knew this. Even if it was something as basic as simple movements.

Her face stiffened somewhat as she continued to factor in the various rules assigned to their way of life.

Her desire to be a swordswoman, but also the fear she felt.

What if their Mother found out?

How badly would she react...

The idea consumed her leaving her in an odd state of confusion that she simply couldn't break out of.

However all of these thoughts vanished within an instant when she noticed Ryota's hand stretched out before her.

His face exerted the same calmness as before, as well as his warm smile. Seeing him this way did make her heart feel at ease, as if all the problems the world placed upon her no longer existed.

"If she does then so be it."

"You are no less Fumiko than I, you should be taught the way of the sword."

Suzume couldn't help but allow her heart to be moved by his kind words.

He was always very kind to her, unfortunately an emotion she didn't get to experience enough

Before she could even respond his hand grasped hers raising her up and pulling her in close.

"Just follow my lead." He whispered, allowing his voice to flow as gracefully as the wind.

He raised his blade guiding her through an odd movement. After raising his blade he angled it downwards before doing a curved slash.

"Why are we doing this?" Suzume questioned noticing the almost impatical swing they just accomplished.
