Master Splinter's P.O.v
It didn't take long for the Hamato brothers to fall asleep in front of the TV after Mikey had turned on a movie for them all. The pizza that they've just eaten warmed up the tummies and made it easier to relax. They were out extra late today since they went all the way to Shredder's building and fought the words villain's they could imagine, which makes me proud since I'm their teacher. I've taught them this great skill that they use wisely.
After I had finished my daily - or more nightly cleaning in the dojo, I went in to my room and changed kimono. Instead of wearing the usual one that I usually wear, I put on a black and white one. I haven't used it in a while, and non of my son's has seen it. But mainly because I kept it hidden from them all, and from myself.
After taking on my tabi socks, to gather with a pair of traditional Japanese shoe's, I began my way out of the Lair.
I've been outside a few times, but kept that a secret from my son's as well.
Just by thinking how much secrets I am keeping from my son's makes me wonder if I really am a good father. It feels like I've been scolding them a few times too many. Especially Leo and Raph.
After I've climbed up to the highest rooftop that was near, I took a deep breath and and watched the view for a while. Looking especially closely at all of the people that was walking to somewhere or from somewhere - in other words minding their business.
Before storming off, I pulled my hood over my head and covered my nose and mouth with a black mask as well. Now, with my body entirely disguised - not that I did need to disguise it in the first place - I took off in to my wished destination.
(L/N)'s Temple
It was one of the few temples that survived the foot clan's attacks. The purple dragons - that my son's has been talking about a lot - has tried to burn it down, or at least destroy it as well. But it never really collapsed, so they just gave up on it and let it be. Now it's shining more that it has ever been before. Not because it's once again Beautiful with all of it's traditional Japanese lamps and candles, but because it's strong and beautiful. Thinking of how well (Y/N) is taking care of it, even if it's outside of New York and people doesn't even know about it, makes me smile warmly. At least someone in this cruel world knows how to show love to other things than people. And the thought of how me met makes my heart burn.
Flashback
"LEO! Wake up!" Mikey shouted in his brothers face as he layed motionless on the ground. Me and my son's had been fighting the foot clan again. And the reason why I was here as well is because my oldest son is nearly dead.
Nearly
Raphael had to hold Michaelangelo in his arms to make sure that he didn't squeezed the last breaths Leonardo could take out of him. Donatello was patching up his injuries and made sure his breathing was steady. What a smart child, I cannot help but feel proud over what a beautiful path he had chosen as a child.
Suddenly, I smelled smoke and an unbearable heat hit my back. It wasn't until I turned around that I noticed that the temple - that my son's found and used as a hiding place - was now on fire. Some foot soldiers were already making their way from the temple, ready to hide.
A scream could be heard from inside and my instincts told me to get in and save whoever it was in there, but the scream I heard was so familiar. To familiar for me which made me freeze in my place and think of my - now dead - wife.
Yet, instead of standing there like a fool and watching the horrible scene, I started running towards and in to the temple, completely ignoring my sons' calls. I knew I was risking my life here, but maybe it would be worth it.
After finding the right room, I looked down and saw a female laying on the tatami mats, nearly motionless as well from breathing in too much smoke. She was wearing a (F/C) yukata and white socks. Some of her belt was covered with dust and burn marks.
I took her in my arms, and began my way out in the same pace as before. Some of the smoke came hit my eyes, made me tear up, and it became harder for me to breathe. She was alright though and that's what mattered.
When I was next to the wall to outside, I just threw myself at the wood and paper wall and broke it easily. Some of it fell down on me, but not everything because I didn't fall down on the ground once I was fully out of the temple.
When I was fully out, I layed her on the grass, right next to my oldest son - Leonardo - and began to heal them both with my healing hands. My sons' admired my work when Leonardo woke up and began crying over their brother. Yet, the female was not even close to waking up. The other's noticed that too and began to worry again.
Another crash was heard far away, and more creams were heard from the city. That was all we had to hear to know what we had to do. Donatello and Raphael started running towards the city with their weapons in the hands, while Raphael took Leonardo home. Now it was time for me to choose where to go. I couldn't decide though. it was wrong to leave her here by herself, cold and with a while temple on fire that could collapse on top of her any moment.
"Master Splinter! Come and help me!" I heard Raphael shout when Leo fell down again and Raphael couldn't carry him properly over his shoulder. I took the woman in to my arms, and went over to my sons. Before taking Leonardo's arm over my shoulders, I put her under the tree before helping Raphael carry Leonardo home.
Your P.O.V
Nothing
Absolutely nothing
What should I do?
What could I do?
Nothing. I couldn't do anything at the moment. My body was absolutely still and would not respond to my commands.
The only thing I could do was lay there, gather up my strength while hearing the very same name in my head over and over again.
Master Splinter
I already know that I will cherish this name for the rest of my life, because it's the name of a man who saved my life. I am honored to know it as well.
After I've gathered up my strength, I opened my eyes to find myself under a tree. My temple was still on fire, but the firemen were already here to dump down the fire for me. One of them came up to me and asked me questions about my health and if someone else was still in there - doing his job in other words. I answered them all truthfully.
A few weeks later I met the very same man again. Well...rat. He helper me build up the temple again, and even offered to stay the night once to make sure that it was steady even during the night when it's cold and windy. And over the moths we both grew close.
Now were closer than before.
End of flashback
And this brings us to this day.
I am now standing on one of the stones in my Japanese-styled garden, feeding the goldfishes in my pond with some leftover bread. They always eat everything up. No wonder they're getting so fat. From distance I can't even tell of they're goldfishes anymore because of how much they had grown.
The stone I was standing on was a bit slippery, but I somehow managed to stand up on them with my bare feet. The Yukata that I was wearing was a bit big, so it was easy for me to move around in it. The only thing that bothered me at the moment was my hair. I've spent nearly 2 hours this morning tried to put it up in a neat bun, but the damn thing wouldn't listen to me, so I just gave up and let it loose. Now it was hanging in front of my face all the time.
Suddenly I heard a giggle from behind me. That made me jump, slip and fall in to the pond. It wasn't deep at all, if I sat down the water would reach my waist. I bolted up and looked around, seeing none other than Splinter by me. His face was filled with surprise and shock, making it my turn to giggle. After giving me a warm smile he helped me up and carried me in to the temple. I went in to my room and went behind the changing wall. Splinter took out a new Yukata for me and handed it to me. I threw my wet one away and started changing. However, when Splinter turned around, his tail accidentally hit the wall and made it fall down. I covered myself with the first thing I could get, which was the very outermost portion of the Yukata. He panicked and tried to but it back up, but failed horribly and fell down. I went down to ask if he was alright, which made us both stare deeply in to each other's eyes.
And from there the fun night began
Hi my dear readers. I am sorry for not writing the entire...thing. But I just feel awkward to write these kinds of things. And writing about Master Splinter may have taken the word "Awkward" to a whole new level!!!So, I'll leave it up to your wild imagination.
