On Mitch's birthday, he was happily awoken by Scott slipping inside of him without even a 'good morning.'

When they were through, Mitch rolled over happily. "Jesus Christ... Happy birthday to me."

"Not done yet, Mitchie. But good morning, anyhow."

Mitch glanced at him. "Not done..? With what?"

"You. I'll give your tight little ass a break for now, but... I hope you know you're not leaving my side today. Got too much to surprise you with."

Mitch was looking at his phone. "Is that why you woke me up at five in the morning?"

"Gives me extra time with you before sending you off to school. And then after school you're mine again."

"What do you mean 'sending me off'? You're not gonna go?"

"Not today. Gotta plan a surprise, babe."

"Scott, you can't just go missing school whenever you--"

"Sure I can. It's a holiday, after all."

"No, Scott. I'm serious. It's my birthday, and I'm telling you to go."

Scott pouted at him, rolling onto his side without a stitch of clothing on. "But then I can't do your surprise... Please? It's so important to me. So so important to me."

"Then... After school, drop me off with Kirstie or something. And then come get me when the surprise is ready."

Scott reached out to put a hand on Mitch's back as he thought about it, and then leaned down to kiss his bare shoulder. "Fine... Only because I love you."

"Thank you."

"Okay, well... We still have time before school, so. Massage first, or bubble bath?"

When the lunch bell rang, Alex seemed too excited to rush Mitch out of the classroom. "We're supposed to meet Scott and Avi in the parking lot."

"Oh man... You're in on the secret too?"

"Yep. It's a good one, too."

"I bet it is." As they walked, Mitch looked up at Alex. "Babe, I'm nervous."

"Don't be. Avi and I are gonna be there the whole time, first of all. And second, remember that we don't have a very long lunch period, so."

Mitch nodded slowly. "You're right... Scott would never do anything I didn't like. I just.. Surprises make me anxious."

"I know, Mitchie. But it's gonna be so fun, I promise."

Mitch continued to get more and more nervous, until he saw Scott leaning against the back of his car.

He stood up tall, just so Mitch could hug him. Mitch then looked up at him. "Honey, what's going on..? Where are we going?"

"Just get in the car, Cutie."

"Scottie, I'm afraid."

"Of what? It's your birthday, baby. Be excited."

Mitch nodded quickly, trying to put a smile on his face. "Okay. Got it."

Alex was holding Mitch's door for him, and then he closed it softly behind him.

Scott turned the car on, waiting for everyone to climb into the vehicle. "Okay y'all. I hope you're hungry."

Avi was the first to respond. "Starved."

Alex just shook his head. "I told you to eat breakfast."
