YOUR THOUGHTS ON SCOTT AND MITCH HOOKING UP AND DATING>>>

Poor little, brokenhearted, 17 year old, Scottie. And let's not even PICTURE how sad he must've been when Mitch and Kirstie started dating xD

MOVING ON.

******

On the drive to dinner, Scott apologized in advance for his shitty parents.

Kirstie only giggled. "Scott, don't be silly. It's okay. We're here to support you."

Alex nodded once. "Also I promised Avi that if your dad so much as picks up a beer to throw, I'm supposed to beat him up."

Kirstie grinned. "Cool! I wanna do that."

Scott shook his head once. "No one is gonna beat anybody up, guys. We're gonna eat, and you guys are gonna get really into my personal life, and you're not gonna talk about it to anyone. Got it?"

Alex looked over at him, watching him drive. "Okay... Please remember that we're not here to judge you. And... We love you, and we're your friends. And it's nothing to be ashamed of that your parents are shitty, because they're not a reflection of you."

Scott glanced over, and then looked back at the road. "Yeah... I guess. Just... Please don't go anywhere without me, okay? I don't want them sayin' some shit to you."

Kirstie reached forward then and set a hand on Scott's shoulder. "Hey... I'm sorry Mitch couldn't be here. I'm sure he would've made you feel better about all this."

Walking up the porch, Connie threw the door open before Scott was even there. She ran forward and hugged him tightly, though he didn't reciprocate at all.

She grinned widely. "Oh, I've missed you so much... Look at all these tattoos..." She backed up a step, and then looked him in the eye. "And your piercings..." She shook her head slowly. "I've missed it all so much."

"Hi, ma."

Connie kept shaking her head. "Hi." She looked beyond him. "Oh, hello." She looked to Alex first. "Are you Mitch?"

Alex smiled back at her, holding a hand out for her to shake. "No, Ma'am. My name is Alex."

"Alex. Nice to meet you."

Kirstie held a hand out too. "Kirstie. Pleasure to meet you, Miss."

Connie smiled even wider, and looked up at Scott. "What kind friends you have! I'm so proud of you."

"Save it." Scott muttered. "It's... Been a while, Ma."

"I know, honey. We'll get caught up! Please, come inside you guys."

Scott walked in first, and the others followed.

Rick was sitting on the couch watching a sport of some kind, a glass of hard liquor in his hand.

Scott didn't even glance at him. "You've been staying here long?"

Connie shrugged, walking back into the kitchen. "Been looking for you for a month or so. Was working at a diner down the road a little ways, and someone came in saying they knew you. I didn't know you were still staying with your father."

Kirstie eyed Rick nervously, and Alex purposely moved to stand between the two of them, giving her a small smile.

Scott shrugged, walking into the kitchen behind her. "Yeah. Lucky me. Still exactly where you left me."
