Avi held the door open for Alex as they walked into the restaurant.

Alex chuckled a little. "She just texted me to ask what your name really is."

Avi rolled his eyes a little. "I told her what it was. I don't know why she didn't believe me."

"Maybe because you lied about being on my team."

"I thought that would give me credibility!" Avi frowned at him, taking a seat in the diner they'd walked into.

Alex chuckled as he sat down beside him. "I told you just to be honest."

"But I got nervous. Parents don't usually like me."

"Luckily she thought you were funny." Alex quickly texted his mom back, and then set his phone down on the counter, screen down.

Avi sighed loudly, sliding a menu toward Alex. "Sorry... Didn't mean to make a terrible first impression."

"No, no. It's fine. You're gonna have to try a little harder with my dad, but my mom totally loves you, so."

"I think you're exaggerating to make me feel better."

"I think you're being ridiculous. How about that?"

Avi smirked at him for a second. "I think... I like you more and more every time you speak."

Alex grinned widely. "Thank you. So what do you think, Av? Pancakes?"

"Sounds great."

Mitch stood up on his tip toes to read a label of a can on the top shelf. "Is this what you were looking for, babe?"

Scott stood beside him, looking at the can casually. "Uh... I don't know. Wouldn't it be better to get real vegetables?"

"Of course. But are you cooking it today..? I thought this was a future plan."

"What? Hell no. I'm making a fine ass dinner for your fine ass."

Mitch giggled a little. "You think I have a fine ass?"

Scott immediately smacked Mitch's ass once. "No, no, I stare at it all day for no reason... Fantasize about it every time I sleep... But no, no."

Mitch smiled widely, his face as bubbly as it had ever been. "Really? You think about it?"

Scott glanced behind him for a second, just to be sure there were no children in the direct vicinity, before he stepped forward and grabbed Mitch by the waist only to grope his ass roughly. "Absolutely."

Mitch inhaled sharply as he fell into Scott's body, gripping Scott's shirt tightly. "Aw, fuck... Scott, we can't--"

"I know." Scott stepped back for a moment, looking down at Mitch just to kiss him quickly. "Sorry."

Mitch grinned, stepping back a little further so they wouldn't bother everybody that walked by. "Don't be sorry. Let's just go get some vegetables, okay?"

Scott's face fell suddenly, and he gently pushed Mitch's arm. "Hey... Mitchie? I... I think I'd rather just get cans of them..."

"What?" Mitch tilted his head a little. "Oh, oh... You hate vegetables. Then why are you buying them..?"

"It's part of the meal. I can kind of ignore them if they're within a food, I just can't eat them by themselves."

"Oh, I see... And can't touch them, or look at them apparently."

"Sorry... I'm being a baby. Let's go get them."

"No, it's okay. I'll get them. Do you wanna go get something else, and then we'll meet after?"
