Scott only ended up eating two pancakes, though he'd hoped to eat like five or six so Mitch would either be really worried or really impressed.

Mitch was only eating a small plate of eggs and bacon, sipping on a cup of coffee.

Each time he picked the cup up, he'd blow on it gently, and then take a small sip before smiling a little. Which sounds almost as normal as breathing and blinking, but to Scott it was one of the most adorable things he'd ever seen.

Scott grinned at him, and then reached over to hold one of Mitch's hands. "You're so cute."

"Am I? While I'm chowing down on these eggs?"

"Absolutely. You're the most adorable thing I've ever seen."

"More adorable than--?"

"Yes."

Mitch giggled. "You don't even know what I was gonna say."

"No, but I know that you're more adorable."

Mitch only rolled his eyes, and then took a piece of bacon from his plate and held it toward Scott. "Want one?"

Scott only briefly glanced down at his empty plate, and then nodded, grabbing it from Mitch to eat it quicker than he needed to.

"You're so silly. Don't make yourself sick."

"I won't. Believe me, baby. This body can handle a lot." He smirked slowly, keeping their eyes locked.

Mitch saved some of his food and gave it to Alex during one of their shared classes.

Alex had grinned at him, gladly opening the box to eat some of the bacon he found. "Thanks Mitchie! When did you have time to get this?"

"This morning. We went and got breakfast."

"I thought you didn't like eating breakfast on school days..? You always tell me it makes you feel bloated."

"It does. But Scott was super excited about getting a big stack of pancakes, so... I went with him."

"Oh I see. That's nice of you."

A group of four girls walked into the classroom then, one of them apologizing to the teacher for being late.

Another spoke up as well. "There was a fight going on! The principals all tried to shoo us away, but--"

"We almost got in trouble too!" One spoke up over the other. "I think Casey recorded some on her phone."

Mitch stood up slowly. "A fight? Where?"

"Just out near the parking lot. A bunch of the stoner kids were out there."

Does that include my stoner kid? "Do you know who it was?"

The tallest spoke up as she took her seat. "I don't know. I don't hang out with those people."

Mitch looked down at Alex, whose face had become white as a sheet of paper. "Should we..?"

Alex nodded once, jumping up and waving a hand at the teacher. "Mitch doesn't feel good, I'm gonna walk him to the nurse really quick!"

"Mr. Kirk, please sit--" The teacher began.

Mitch made a sound as if he were about to throw up, bending over a little and covering his mouth with one hand.

Alex quickly grabbed him by the shoulders. "Excuse us." And then he pushed Mitch a little to rush him out the door.
