Also I just realized I didn't mention the kids at all in this, so... Keep that in mind xD

Mitch shoved past everyone to rush into the hospital, even accidentally making Jake stumble a little.

He slapped his hands down on the desk. "I'm looking for Scott Grassi-Hoying."

"Relation?"

"I'm his husband."

"Ah, yes. He's in room 128."

Mitch was the first person in the room, because he knew the others were probably looking for Avi's room. Joke's on them though, because Avi was in the same room that Scott was.

Mitch ran over to Scott's side of the room, where he was sitting on the edge of the bed. "Oh thank God!"

Scott winced as Mitch hugged him. "Careful, baby."

Kirstie was right behind him, going to Avi's side immediately. "Oh no..."

Kevin was in the room next. "Will someone please tell me what happened?"

Scott looked up, and when Kevin looked over at him he saw that he wasn't wearing a shirt because his ribs were wrapped in some white medical tape. "It happened during training. When we were with the army, out in the back."

They'd finally all made it inside the room, and Travis continued. "Yeah, he was like... Teaching how to land on the ground after jumping a significant height, without like breaking your legs. But I think someone slipped."

Kevin questioned for clarification. "He had more people than one at a time?"

"Mhmm. Jake and I were on the ground with some of them, but the rest were standing up on that big rock that's like... Off to the side of the building."

Scott looked up at Mitch. "I tried to catch him... This is my fault..."

Mitch hugged him, pressing Scott's head to his chest. "Don't say that. I'm sure that's not true."

Scott spoke to Kirstie, feeling like he owed her something. "Someone fell, and I pushed past the kid in front of me to grab him, but that kid bumped into Avi, and he... He fell... I'm so sorry."

Kirstie wasn't looking at him though, she was staring at Avi, squeezing his hand in her own.

Mitch spoke softly, concerned, but not wanting to take the attention off of Avi. "Then... How'd you get hurt, honey?"

Scott grabbed Mitch's upper arm, which was close to his face. "I caught him, but to do so I fell against the rock, and... Just like smashed my ribs into it. It didn't hurt a lot though, and I helped him step onto the ground carefully, and... But then I heard Jake shout at me, and... Avi was on the ground, and..."

Mitch kissed the top of his blonde head. "Honey... It wasn't your fault. You were just trying to help."

Scott shook his head, pulling the I.V. out and standing up to walk over to Avi. He leaned over Avi's torso to kiss his forehead. "I'm so sorry."

Avi blinked himself awake right then, and he pushed on Scott a little. "Woah..."

Scott moved back to look into his eyes. "Oh my God, you're awake."
