Chapter 68

Ed woke up late . He left quickly to get to his class . Thankfully his teacher was even later .

"Everyone, there will be no classes this week due to the tournament . " Immediately, the mood was better in class . No one liked going to class, except a select few, so it was good news . "You will have this time for training . A training hall will be open to each class so you don't have to worry about time schedules . Or, you can just choose to train in your rooms . " Harry was about to walk out of the classroom but stopped . Apparently, he remembered something .

"The academy wants us, teachers, to provide you all with support, so if you need something you can come to the teachers' office . But please don't, I want to be free this week . " As usual, Harry's laziness surpassed his shamelessness . He left them the key to the training hall and left . Ed went to speak with his friends before they all leave .

"Hey, I got some rare meat yesterday and I'm planning to cook it . Would you guys like to join?" Ed was straightforward in asking them .

Hayato and Stephanie answered positively while Emilia seemed as if she wanted to refuse, but Ed didn't allow her . "I want all of us to come and enjoy it, don't try to refuse . I plan to invite Leon as well so the more the better . " Emilia was convinced and agreed to join . Only Ellie who was quiet for a while now didn't agree . However, they all knew the reason, so Emilia and Stephanie as fellow girls convinced her to join .



"Well then, I'll be leaving to look for Leon . Just come to my room at around sunset . " Ed left after telling them . 'How wonderful it would be if I had a phone now' Ed had to look for Leon until finding him, he couldn't help but reminiscence about the greatness of technology . However, Ed had something else, although not better, still rather useful . He activated his Map and searched for green points . He quickly found two green points and went ahead . He was near a training hall so Leon was probably training . He waited outside for a little while before they got their break .

C class was different from E class . Mainly their teacher, who was rather enthusiastic about training them . Ed asked for his permission to talk to Leon .

"I'll be cooking some nice stuff today at around sunset, make sure you're present," Ed told Leon what was going to happen and wanted to leave quickly so he wouldn't get in the way of their training .

"Ah Oh! Can I bring Liza with me?" Leon quickly stopped Ed and asked him .

'Liza should be his classmate from the other day...' After realizing this, Ed had a devious smile on his face, which scared Leon .



"What's with that smile?! It's not what you think!" He quickly defended himself .

"Sure, sure you can invite her! I'll make sure to reserve you two seats next to each other!" Ed teased his friend a little before leaving .

Ed returned to his room and started preparing . He was going to use half of the body to host for his friends, while the other half was reserved for Raikou and the rest . Ed withdrew the items he needed from his Inventory and started cooking . He even made special utensils he didn't find in the market with his blacksmithing skill .

He used the breast meat as a dish on its own, as he cooked it in oil and baked it . He also made some fried chicken, which he missed for so long . All his dishes were made with the best spices he could find in the capital's market . Every dish he made was instantly stored in his Inventory, keeping it warm and ready for the use . Ed spent almost four hours to prepare the whole cockatrice . He didn't know if he should laugh or cry . The ingredient he wanted for so long was gone in a single day, but it would definitely be worth it .

There was still some time before sunset, so Ed trained his Ren alone this time . He practiced Shunpo most of the time yesterday and didn't get to do much Ren training . He could now hold this state for about one hour, which was an impressive improvement considering he doesn't train as much as he wants .

Time passed by and Ed was waiting in his room after taking a shower . Soon enough, someone knocked on his door . It was Hayato, who brought with him some drinks . 'Thankfully it's not alcohol' Ed doesn't drink any alcoholic beverages . It was simply a dislike .

People started coming one after the other . The final one to come was Ellie . Ed brought them all together and they sat in the kitchen . It was big enough for them to sit down with room to spare .

"Well then let's begin!" Ed put the dishes on a table he had gotten . He was acting like a magician on purpose . Every time he would move his hands on top of the table, and a dish would come out . After all the dishes were out, everyone got a drink and started eating happily .

Ed really did make Leon and Liza sit together on purpose . He got a look of both hate and appreciation from Leon, but he just shrugged it off . Everyone was having a good time, even Ellie who was down lately seemed to be getting better as she ate more and more food .

"Ed, could this be cockatrice meat?" Apparently, Emilia knew what the meat was from .

"Yes, it is . An acquaintance of mine joined the auction, and I was able to secure some of it for myself . " Ed didn't want to tell them he joined the auction himself . They didn't need to know anyway . When the others heard that it was cockatrice meat, they nodded their head as if understanding how it was this good .

Soon enough, almost all the dishes were cleared out, and everyone simply chatted together .

"I won't go easy on you in the tournament if we are paired together!" Leon was in a good mood and simply challenged almost everyone present .

"I won't go easy either," Ed responded to his challenge with a challenge and they all laughed together .

"Ed I have something to ask of you!" It was Ellie who spoke . She seemed to be hesitating about this and used all her courage . Ed was caught off guard and couldn't respond .

"I want you to train me!"
