MeiMei: Why do guys respect a man they haven't met yet rather than the woman right in front of them telling them no, I won't date your loser ass?

Meng's second sister is now in college and asking difficult question. Apparently, before graduating highschool, some guy got fresh on her...asking for her number and wanting to keep in touch. MeiMei, pretty at eighteen, is not having any of that.

MeiMei: I said no. I have no intention of having a boyfriend until I got to second year in college.

Me: That is very specific. Why second year in college?

MeiMei: The first year is me familiarizing myself in the university and getting on a system of studying. Second year will be a bit more relaxed and familiar. I probably already have a fixed schedule then. So I can slip having a boyfriend in my schedule. (an afterthought) Or a girlfriend.

Xiao: A girlfriend?

MeiMei: I am bi.

Xiao and I looked at Meng. He just shrugged.

Meng: She told us last year that she kissed a girl and she thinks she could be into girls as well.

Me: What are Auntie and Uncle's reactions on that?

Meng: What can they do? Is not like they can beat her to be straight. So she is bi, there is nothing wrong with that.

Xiao and I nodded. We agree on that.

Me: (smiling at MeiMei) Good for you. Kissing girls is great too.

MeiMei: You should know. You kissed both girls and boys.

Me: Ah, one boy. I only have ever been with one boy.

MeiMei: (sighing) Qing ge is so dreamy.

Me: Hey! I thought you had a crush on me? Why sigh for my boyfriend?
