Lennon felt down after the departure of his brothers, and the Bordello seemed quieter without the added noise of Ecco, Bruna and their security fleet.

He bumped into Spangna in the hall, "Hey Mercy, where are you goin'?"

"I'm looking for my Marce. I can't find the mad old tart, anywhere. Anyway, I have to head to Dr.V's office to pick up meds." Spangna said with a smile.

Lennon looked unimpressed, "I'm certain 'ol tall, dark and miserable is around. He always is... spinning a web somewhere."

"Are you alright, Lenn?" Spangna asked.

"Yeah, yeah.. I guess. I'll catch you up in a bit darlin'. I gotta go get my meds too." Lennon answered.

"Okay! See you in a bit!" Spangna said before she headed off in the opposite direction.

Lennon walked back through the family compound, into the large reception area which had a massive stone feature fireplace, as he wanted a few minutes to himself, as he knew that he was imminently about to be appointed as the new AK.

There were two small tables by each large chair with stuff that the security team must have left. A few clips of ammunition, a bulletproof vests and a couple of radios.

As Lennon walked towards the chairs in front of the fireplace, he noticed the little grey Bordello cat, curled up in the deep, thick rug in front of the roaring fire.

"Hey little buddy..." Lennon said, before he added lots of little kissing sounds, and stroked its thick, soft coat.

The little cat looked up at Lennon curiously.

"So... you're Mittens, huh?" Lennon said softly as he picked Mittens up.

Mittens just started to purr, as Lennon cradled him, "I'll bet you see everything that goes on around here, darlin'." He said softly.

Mittens rolled over in Lennon's lap to expose his bright white tummy, that Lennon thought was particularly soft and cute.

"So Mittens, are you going to tell me everyone's secrets..?" Lennon asked the little grey cat.

Mittens let out a soft "Meeow."

"Oh! Seriously?!" Lennon exclaimed, "Chéri said that about me...?! Thanks for the info, Mittens!"

Mittens squinted his eyes in that cute way that cats do when they show affection.

"Anything else?" Lennon asked.

Mittens stretched out in Lennon's arms and almost looked like he was reaching for the table. His extended claws snagged on the tough fabric of the bullet proof vest on the little table, and dragged it onto Lennon's lap, before letting out a soft meow.

"Ohh yeah, that's a good idea, little buddy! Thanks for that tip. I'm glad you're lookin' out for me." Lennon said as he stroked Mittens, "I'm gonna go to the kitchen, and imma get a big 'ol side of salmon. Imma steam it, and give it to ya! We'll look out for each other!"

The little cat seemed to stare up at Lennon in a way he could almost read.

"You, are such a soft and fluffy cat.." Lennon said as he cradled Mittens, "And you're so tame. You're more of a puppy."

Lennon heard someone approaching and turned to look behind. It was Selina.

Lennon smiled warmly, "Selina!"

"Ohh you've found my kitty cat, Mittens." Selina said.

"Ohh! So you own this sweet cat!" Lennon said as he cradled the sleepy and floppy cat.
