It was getting late in the evening as Lennon and Suzanne were awaiting their bags to appear on the carousel at baggage retrieval, Kraków, Poland.

"I've never been here before, or ever been to eastern Europe. I have to depend on you for translation, and everything." Lennon said.

Suzanne smiled back, "I should be telling your soul, welcome back. This is your ancestral home."

"Well, in a way, i guess. Which reminds me.. I wanna call my momma, and papa at some point. They wouldn't even believe I'm here, and certainly not, why." Lennon said.

"Well, I spoke to my mother. She is expecting us over. We're only staying one night, but she is happy to see me again, and happy to meet you, but sad that the baby will be leaving."

"That's very good of her. Tomorrow, our plane from here leaves at one in the afternoon, straight back to London's Gatwick. I have to be careful there, as Britain is on a heightened terror alert." Lennon said.

Suzanne turned to him and grabbed him by the shoulders, "Lennon! I don't like the way you're speaking! I want to know exactly what's going on!"

Lennon said quietly, "I only mean, that I'll need to buy items that may flag their version of homeland security. It's no big issue. In fact, Chéri told me that there in the U.K, the cops are slow to even respond, unless they heard a gunshot..."

"Chéri?!" Suzanne said in horror as she scanned Lennon's face, "Has he put you up to this?!" She asked, horrified.

"Nah, it was all my idea, but he gave me lots of details..." Lennon said.

"Don't you see? Chéri's setting you up! He's given you some bullshit to manipulate you into doing his dirty work!" Suzanne said, nervously as she looked around.

"No...no. This is my mission." Lennon said fervently.

Suzanne just stared back at him, "There's no mission..."

"There is. There are evil people, Suzanne. I never knew it, but there are. All the shit I have to deal with now, with Chéri, is because of one such evil, child abusing, piece of shit... who's ruining my life indirectly, by having hurt my Chéri years ago." Lennon said quietly, and flatly.

Suzanne felt a sense of dread. She also felt that she may not be able to get through to him, but she had him all to herself until they were due to board a plane back to Spain.

They saw their bags arrive and collected them before they headed out to get a taxi to her mothers house.

Lennon looked at the small streets as they flashed by him in the taxi. Seeing a lot of the poverty, made Lennon wonder what the heck he was there for, except the obvious.

They drove to a seemingly run down grey, tower block, and climbed three sets of winding stairs before reaching Suzanne's mothers apartment, where Suzanne eagerly knocked on the door.

Lennon turned to her, "What's your momma's name?"

"Agnieszka." She answered, bubbling with excitement.

Lennon just nodded politely with a smile, knowing he had no chance pronouncing the name.

The door opened and a tiny, elderly woman opened the door and smiled at Suzanne. Lennon stepped forward to greet the old lady, but Suzanne pulled him back.

Suzanne turned to Lennon, and spoke quietly, "Lenn, step inside. It's considered serious bad luck to greet someone at the threshold."

Lennon turned to Suzanne and smiled, "You are kidding, right? I'm supposed to barge in first?!" He asked, warmly.
