In the centre of Nashville, Lennon walked into his small apartment and Chéri followed him in and looked around the minimal apartment.

"Wow, this is ultra-modern. Very chic and minimal. How many rooms?" Chéri asked.

"Just one bedroom with a living room and kitchen area. It's basic, but the most I could afford." Lennon said.

Chéri looked in the small bathroom. "Have you jerked off in here?"

Lennon laughed. "Probably."

Chéri walked into the small bedroom. "I see you have a double bed in here."

"Yeah." Lennon said, somewhat morosely.

"Was that for, like, you and your boyfriend?" Chéri asked, feeling somewhat guilty for asking, but he wanted to know.

"Mmm, yeah." Lennon said as he sat on a chair by the bed. "Or, if I got lucky at the gay bar with someone who actually wanted a relationship." Lennon said.

"Lenny, I'm with you now." Chéri said when he noticed how sad Lennon seemed.

Lennon looked up at the ceiling and sighed. "I remember how depressed I was. I just wanna get out of this apartment and never see it again. I have so many bad memories here. Some good, but a lot of pain."

"Did your boyfriend ever live here?" Chéri asked.

"Yes, which is why there are just too many memories, flashes of this moment or one. Happiness, sadness, pleasure and pain." Lennon said.

"Do you mind answering questions about him? Because I know you went to great lengths to find out all you could about my exes." Chéri asked.

"Nah. I don't. I'm just hurt by it all now, and embarrassed because he was nothing compared to you." Lennon said.

"What was his name?" Chéri asked.

"It's weird to say it aloud, but... his name was Teo." Lennon answered.

"Do you have a picture of him?"

"Yeah." Lennon said as he opened the bed table and pulled out a framed picture and showed it to Chéri.

Chéri looked at the picture of Lennon and Teo, smiling widely with their arms around each other.

Chéri felt strange looking at the lovingly framed image. He looked at the very feminine, lightly tanned man in the picture. Teo had long black hair with a shock of bright blue running through it. He had exotic features being half Mexican and was wearing a woman's silk blouse in the picture.

Chéri felt sad because Lennon had harboured a strong sorrow for remembering the loss, and when looking at Teo, he felt a strange jealousy, and quickly consoled himself with the fact that he was so much more attractive and could give Lennon a lifestyle far beyond his means.

"Did you love him, Lenny?"

"Yes, madly. I couldn't see a future without him, until you climbed into my cab. I was instantly attracted to you, and my sorrow over Teo evaporated, and it never came back." Lennon said.

"Why did he leave you?"

"He dumped me for an elderly guy who had a holiday home in Madeira. I think he saw an 'out' of Tennessee and the promise of a better lifestyle. I'm sure there were a couple few reasons. Another one was that... I may have put pressure on him about making a real commitment. But..."

"Then, he never loved you, Lenny." Chéri cut in.

"Yeah, I guess. But I never believed that."

Chéri searched the bed table and found condoms and a sex toy. "Hmm, what's this?"

"That's all his." Lennon said, making Chéri drop the sex toy. "I never had the heart to get rid of them." Lennon said.

Chéri pulled the drawer out and tipped all the contents in the trash bin. "There! He's over. Gone. Finished. Can't relate!" Chéri said, making Lennon smile.

"You have to keep this though..." Chéri said as he handed Lennon the framed picture of him and his ex together. "You have to remember the past so that you can appreciate your present. Now put that thing back in a drawer, I don't wanna see his face."

"I love you Chéri!" Lennon said as he stared at the floor as he held the picture limply. "You'd never break my heart like he did. If you left me... I'd kill myself."

"Lenny, don't say that."

"I mean it. The heartbreak from you would be more than I could ever survive. I'm telling you. I wouldn't want to live, and I won't." Lennon said.

"That's never happening Lenny." Chéri said as he held Lennon's hand.

Lennon was still transfixed on the floor.

"Lenny, this place is unhealthy for you. I have a better idea." Chéri said as he held his phone to his ear. "I'm going to call for some professional movers to get here and pack this place up asap. We're not staying here another second with you depressed! Remember, your home is the Bordello, and your place is with me, your boyfriend."

"Really?"

"Yes. Now let me organise some professional movers to do this now so we can go out and have some fun. Now! If you get out of those clothes and into something happening, then I'll change into something sexier." Chéri said.

"I have something more appropriate for goin' out drinkin in the gay district." Lennon said.

"Great! Text your mom and tell her you'll meet up for coffee tomorrow while I'm out with Nathan, and right now, we'll go get a hotel, have some wild sex, then go out to a bar. Maybe stop off at the hotel for more sex, then home." Chéri said.

"Mmm, sounds nice! What do you fancy at the hotel? If I get some champagne in?" Lennon asked.

"I fancy being inside that tight arse of yours, and watching you take my cock." Chéri said.

"Right! We're leaving!" Lennon said as he stood up and grabbed his satchel.

"Hold on, I have to organise the bastard movers first!" Chéri replied.
