We finally made it into the house. Destiny stopped fighting me and embraced me. I couldn't tell her how much I missed her cause words just wasn't enough. I took the gun off her hip and sat it on the dresser.
"I'm here to protect you now, you don't need it!" Her eyes was so glossy like she wanted to cry again.

I admired how strong she was. I could tell that she desperately wanted to be okay she just wanted to feel normal again. I took her hoodie off of her picking her up to straddle my lap. She wrapped her arms around my neck rubbing the back of my head.
