Imagine that Kai, who is known as a psychotic killer, shows you how sweet and caring he can be when you get a migraine

You were pretty certain that Kai Parker was nothing but evil from the outside to the inside, a wicked soul with a poisonous heart, and no intentions to do anything good for anyone, ever. He was a villain, the enemy of Mystic Falls, and a murderer. You couldn't quite understand why villains were always so hot, though, and you quickly began harboring some kind of feelings for him, but the bad things he did kept you on the line between confessing and hiding the way you felt. And so you never talked about Kai unless it was something negative and mean.

Although he was quite attractive, you were sure that he'd cause you a killer migraine one day. You suffered from the painful headaches that migraine caused sometimes, and it was awful. There were long periods of time where you didn't have attacks at all, but sometimes they drowned you, and made living hard for you. Sometimes it was easy to treat, the headache and the dizziness and all the symptoms you experienced washed away with some painkillers, but other times, it wasn't that simple at all. It wasn't unusual for you to feel completely drained and like you were slowly dying for days, and often the pain got so huge you couldn't help but cry, hoping all the complaining and whining would help.

After weeks, maybe even months without any migraine attacks, you started to be scared. Whenever you survived this long without one, it meant that soon it'd hit you, hard. You had once fallen when the headache just crashed into you, and you felt like throwing up and fainting. You always carried some pills to ease the pain with you, though. Or at least you were supposed to.

On one Friday, you were in the Mystic Grill with Bonnie, Caroline and Elena. You had been feeling a bit off all day, and you had suspected it was the migraine that could very possibly soon hit you, but your friends made you feel less nervous and so you forgot about the whole feeling. But it started to swallow you, whole, and it took you a while, but eventually you understood what was coming. The symptoms started to come, one by one, and you nervously laughed at the jokes your friends made while you all ate, but you couldn't help but notice the flickering, the lights and the colors that you knew weren't there, except for you.

You looked down at your fingers, looking for the sign that always warned you, told you that it was happening, now, there and then. No going back. The migraine was about to hit you, hard. And you were sad to notice the way your fingers were blurry, how you couldn't see every detail of them anymore. You knew that in only potentially seconds, your head would feel like exploding, and it scared the shit out of you. You had been through it before, and especially now when it had been a while since your last attack, it was going to be hellish.

You looked up from your fingers, and smiled at your friends, until you spotted Kai freaking Parker sitting at one of the tables. Your smile faded, and you felt sweat forming on your forehead and hands, as you counted every heartbeat and aimed to calm yourself down but you were far too deep to stop the migraine now. You should have brought the pills, that was all you could think about, and you kept rudely blaming yourself in your mind as you pushed yourself up from the chair and excused yourself.
