Imagine you and Elijah being everyone's favorite couple and the power couple of Mystic Falls and New Orleans // Based on Drag Me Down by One Direction

To make it simple, Elijah Mikaelson was desperately, truly in love with you, and luckily to him, you had the same kind of feelings for him. It wasn't hard to develop them for such a charming, classy, sexy yet perfectly intimidating man. You had said no to vampire relationships before, but you had been turned into one some months ago, so dating Elijah seemed like a perfect idea to you now. Elijah had fallen in love with you too, and as soon as the two of you managed to stutter out the important words, admit your feelings to each other, you started a relationship.

He knew you well, and you knew him well, so you didn't need to waste time on getting to know each other because there was plenty of time to do that while dating. And Elijah was in fact the best boyfriend ever, he fulfilled all of your dreams and brought your imagination to life, and you were the happiest you had ever been. He showed you affection, but he wasn't afraid of getting rough and intense at times, yet he appreciated and adored you, treated you like a queen. Being in a relationship with him, was hands down the best thing that had ever happened to you.

Elijah was quite obsessed with you, and dependent on you, as well. He couldn't imagine a life without you anymore, and every day, he got up just to see your beautiful smile, or to hear your gorgeous laughter. It wasn't that he was sad and depressed before you, but you had definitely made things better for him, and he didn't sigh, or roll his eyes, or judge people silently so much anymore. He needed you to work right, he needed you to be complete, and if he would ever have to be without you, that would be no doubt the end of him.

"I'm so lucky I have you, my love. You complete, without you, there would be nothing left, and I'd only be a shell of a man, never be able to be his best", he'd always say.

"You taught me how
to be someone."

Before Elijah, you weren't sure how to express yourself. You, like everyone else, had things you felt the need to hide but yours were more casual and basic, but still, you were scared of being judged which was you kept your true personality hidden, in the shadows. You were a lovely, nice girl, but people in school and around you, they suffocated you. You did have friends, but for the sake of actually keeping them, you stayed 'normal', and avoided obsessing over things you really enjoyed.

But when Elijah came around, and you and him started a relationship, he encouraged you to be yourself. He made you feel beautiful, and confident, and he boosted your self-esteem, which led to you wearing the kind of clothes you liked, and laughing as loud as you wanted to, and acting the way you always did when you weren't around so many people. Elijah was happy to see that side of you, and so was everyone else - everyone loved you, and you felt gratitude towards Elijah because of that.

He taught you how to be yourself, to be someone and that was where everyone first understood that he was destined to be with you, that he was good for you, and that you had found your soulmate.

Living as an Original vampire, it came with duties and burdens to bear, but you made it easier for Elijah. You supported him through thick and thin and stood by him no matter what, while no one else really trusted him or wanted to be with him. Sure, he had his family, but you and him connected on a whole new level, and while he knew that his siblings could betray him on one day, he was sure that you would never do that, or anything to break his heart.

It didn't take long for your friends, and all the residents of Mystic Falls to realize how serious you and Elijah were. You were indeed very in love, and after a few attempts from here and there - mostly from Klaus - it was understood by everyone, that you two weren't possible to separate. If Elijah ever heard rumors of you being seen with another man, or something to break you guys up, he'd just laugh it off. He knew you were his, and the same worked the other way around.

So things were just perfect.

You trusted each other, you loved each other, and everyone knew that. Everyone started to like you two, too. Caroline even came up with a nickname for you two, and she said that she was shipping you guys, which Elijah didn't understand at all, and always responded that he didn't want you to be shipped away from him, with his eyebrows knitted together and his arm around you protectively. And none of you bothered to explain because it was much more fun to witness Elijah's confusion whenever Caroline would say, well, almost anything.

You were everyone's favorite couple, everyone loved you two together and there wasn't anyone who didn't support your relationship. You got each other's backs, and you protected each other, and soon, you were already known as Mystic Falls' power couple.

After Elijah took you to New Orleans, everyone over there loved you as well. Your love story was the epic tale going around the two towns, the great wonderful vampire love of Elijah Mikaelson and Y/N Y/L/N. Something about it was just so magical. No matter what, you never argued, your life was just smiles and love every single day. You were happy, and never got tired of each other, and you kept the fire burning, everyone just had to admire it. It was legendary.

Endless kisses, late night cuddling while watching your favorite movies, hot crazy vampire sex, feeding together, morning sex, Elijah walking around the house shirtless, dancing, reading, and talking with him through the night, shower sex, him treating you on a daily basis by taking you shopping, or buying you random but cute gifts, and a lot of dates, whether it was hanging home in sweatpants and eating junk food, or him taking you to a fancy restaurant where teasing would be had, leading you two into the bedroom by the end of the night.

It was perfect.

And as long as you'd have him, nothing would ever manage to make you sad or angry, he kept you calm and if negative feelings threatened to take you over, he wanted to make you feel better and always succeeded. He kept you happy, and did his everything to make sure you were fine and feeling like a queen, because that was what you were to him.

His queen.

And together, you laughed and cried and lived in happiness, until you eventually died, together.
