Chapter 75
"Mum where are we going" I said worried.
My mum had ordered me to get in to the car with no explanation. Tears were running down her cheeks and mine were about to do the same.
"Mum"
"Your father was hit by a drunk driver and his car swerved in to a ditch. He's in the hospital" My mum whispered.
The tears escaped their jail in my eyes and ran down my cheeks.
"Is he..." I started.
"No, he is just very injured"
I sighed out of relief and started out the window.
We arrived at the hospital shortly and were rushed up to the 5th floor. Mum and I pushed past the nurses and over to my dad when we reached his room.
"Dad?" My voice cracked.
Dad's head was turned to the side and he had tubes attached all over him. Dad's arms were wrapped and I was too scared to look at his face, afraid of what it might hold.
My phone chose that moment to ring.
"Go answer it, Riley, I need some time with your dad" My mom said softly.
I nodded and slipped out of the room.
"Hello?" My nose was runny from the crying.
"Riley! ...Are you crying?" It was Louis.
"Yeah" I sniffed.
"What's wrong?" Louis asked, worry obvious in his voice.
"My dad... got in an accident" I cried.
"Where are you?"
"Walsh Hospital... room 317" I sniffed.
"I'll be right there"
The phone line went dead.
