The busy noises of New York City floated through the crisp spring air. All the flowers on every tree in Central Park had blossomed beautifully, creating a gorgeous setting for the special day. Shawn couldn't believe this was really happening. He was actually marrying the love of his life today in one of his favorite cities in the world.

Within the first year or so of their relationship, Y/N told Shawn about her dream wedding. In Central Park in the spring time when all the cherry blossoms and colorful flowers had bloomed which would look perfect for the pictures. Not too big, all the important people in their lives there and nothing but pure love in the air.

As she explained every detail down to the sunflower bouquets she wanted, Shawn smiled brightly at the thought of marrying her and making her dreams come true and now here he was. Standing at the altar with his best man and groomsmen behind him as he waited for the kindest, sweetest and most beautiful woman he fell in love with years ago to walk down the aisle. It felt like a complete dream and he simply couldn't believe this was his life.

Nervously straightening his suit jacket out, he looked out at the small crowd of family and friends who were all sitting with excited smiles on their faces. The beautiful gazebo let the golden sunlight in and Shawn couldn't help but admire everything around him.

He was getting married to the girl of his dreams.

After the countless heartbreaks he went through that only convinced him he wouldn't find love, he met Y/N and everything changed. The last five years had been an utter fairytale that Shawn never thought he would get but he knew the moment he met her, she was the one.

"Dude, you ready? She'll be out any minute now." Brian asked quietly noticing his best friend's nerves and nudging Shawn's arm with his own. Snapping out his thoughts, Shawn nodded quickly making a few of his brown curls fall over his forehead like always.

"More ready than I've ever been. This is really happening Brian. I'm getting married to Y/N! A few years ago, I was only hoping to be here and this almost doesn't feel real." Shawn admitted with a bright smile, assessing his surroundings again before meeting Brian's gaze. His best friend patted his shoulder encouragingly, a twinkle of genuine delight in his eyes.

"I'm so happy for you man. You deserve this more than anyone and I said it when you first met her, but you and Y/N are made for each other. She makes you the happiest I've seen you and I've literally never seen two people more in love than the two of you." Brian chuckled heartily and Shawn couldn't help but feel extremely grateful to have his lifelong friend as his best man on the most important day of his life.

Glancing over Brian's shoulder for a few seconds, Shawn saw all of his groomsmen lined up perfectly awaiting his bride like everyone else. Geoff waved gently, Niall sent him a wide smile, Mike winked playfully and Jon gave him a thumbs up. Connor moved down the line of neatly dressed men, camera in hand as he filmed every moment from the wedding. Y/N had inisted on letting him be the videographer for their wedding video. She loved everything he did with a camera and it made sense to have a close friend do it.

"Thanks Brian. It means so much and thank you for being here. Couldn't get married without my best man," Shawn joked but every word he said was genuine. His best friend just nodded and suddenly, Shawn saw Connor rush towards the back of the nicely organized chairs that were full of Y/N's and his family. Beautiful music began playing and Shawn spotted his parents in the front row who both smiled softly when they caught his gaze. Just seeing the expression of love and pride on his mom and dad's face made his heart soar.
