It was the next day and Charlotte's first lesson was a free period, thank Godric. As Hermione went to the Library and Ron and Harry did God knows what, Lottie went looking for Draco for explanations as to why he couldn't answer her owls.

She had asked several students if they had seen Draco and they looked at her weirdly before muttering about how Gryffindor's and Slytherin's shouldn't be friends because of the house rivalry. It took her everything not to batter them, but, she did, however, make their bags rip so all their belongs would fall out and they would have to pick it all up.

Charlotte kept wandering around corridors hoping to bump into him, but it stopped when she was suddenly grabbed by the arm and pulled away. She yelped, but followed the person.

The person had led her into the astronomy tower and she finally saw that it was Draco. She sighed in relief and as she went to speak, Draco lifted his sleeve and revealed the Dark Mark on his arm. Lottie froze and blinked in shock, she then looked at him and he looked like he was going to break down.

Charlotte immediately brought him into a hug and held the back of his head with her hand and listened as he sobbed on her shoulder.

"H-Help m-me, I had no c-choice. I didn't even want to b-become a death eater. My father forced me to, and now the D-Dark Lord has given me a job to do and I don't think I can do it. Y-You're the only one I trust, please, help me." (A/N: I don't want to see comments from readers who think differently, and I definitely don't want readers arguing. Okay? If I do, I'll be deleting them as they're unnecessary.)

Charlotte rubbed his back and sighed as she was shook with what she had just heard, she then cleared her throat and responded softly to reassure him.

"Hey, it's okay. Everything is going to be okay. Calm down, calm your breathing before you overwhelm yourself and pass out."

She lifted his head and held his face in her hands, tears fell down his cheeks and he looked conflicted. His face was really pale, his eyes had bags  underneath them and his cheeks had sunken in a little, he looked absolutely exhausted. Charlotte wiped the tears and continued talking softly.

"Breathe in and out, in and out, okay?.. Good, now. What is the job that you've been told to do?"

Draco's breath hitched and he stuttered out a response.

"I-I can't tell you, but I have to do the job or he'll kill my mother and father. I need to do it, I need to."

Lottie sighed lightly and looked into his eyes, they held desperation and hesitation, she carried on.

"Okay, okay, you can't tell me, that is fine. Um, I don't really know what to do because I've never been through this. Have you tried getting your parents into safety, just in case?"

He frantically shook his head and Charlotte sighed again, she really did not know what to do, all this was just piled onto her. Lottie led him over to a sofa and sat down, Draco immediately leant into her and she asked.

"Did you do that to Harry's nose by any chance?"

Draco swallowed nervously, but nodded. Charlotte pursed her lips and went to say something when Draco defended himself.

"I had to do it, he was listening in on my conversation to Blaise and Pansy about the Dark Mark."

Lottie mentally face palmed at Harry's stupidity, but nonetheless comforted Draco. They sat in silence for a bit before he got up, straitened his clothing, cleared his throat and muttered.

"Sorry for piling my problems onto you, it's just that I trust you and needed to tell someone in secret before I bursted it out in public. Also, sorry for not answering your owls, the Dark Lord was at our Manor and was monitoring everything I did. If he saw that I was owling you, it could have turned nasty."

Charlotte nodded understandingly and stood up as well, she stopped in front of him and replied.

"It's alright, Draco. Just know that you can tell me anything and I will swear to secrecy. Just, please, don't hurt yourself over this too much. Take it easy and do things one at a time, I don't want you overworking yourself. I will not stop you from doing whatever You-Know-Who told you to, but, please, when you're comfortable, tell me what it is before it gets too late."

Draco steadily took in a breath before breathing it out, he then smiled lightly before responding.

"Thank you, I needed that. I'm glad that I can trust you, even after all those years of me saying sexual jokes and such to you. I was just a child/teen having a first crush, I've learned that you and Potter are meant for each other and I'm okay with that. Besides, I may or may not have a crush on someone."

Charlotte gasped and jumped up and down excitedly, she then gripped his arm and eagerly asked.

"Oh my Godric, do tell. Who is it? A boy? A girl? Which house? What are they like?"

Draco let out a laugh and calmed her down. And he was about to respond, when the bell went off. Lottie sighed in disappointment and he spoke again.

"I'll tell you later. Now, let's get to Potions. I want to see if that Slughorn professor is any good at his job."

Charlotte nodded and they left the room, they headed to the Potions room and entered. A few people were there and Charlotte noticed that Hermione was smirking at them. Lottie smiled at Draco and he went over to Blaise, Charlotte went over to Hermione and she asked immediately.

"Were you just with Malfoy?"

Charlotte nodded and Mione went to speak again when Lottie cut her off by continuing.

"It's nothing like you think, he doesn't have those feelings for me anymore, we're like brother and sister. I was helping him with a crush he has on someone."

Hermione's eyes widened and she replied.

"So after all those years of him practically thirsting over you, you're like friends now?"

Charlotte nodded again and explained to her that he was just a child/teen having a first crush, Mione laughed and shook her head. She was about to speak when Professor Slughorn entered the room and began the lesson.
