Today is the first task and Charlotte is bricking it and she's not even the one participating! She is also not talking to the boys, except Neville, because of what they did last night and Lottie of course told Hermione. She was disappointed in the boys as well.

They wrapped up today because it is freezing cold and they're gonna be outside for however long this task will take.

Hermione and Charlotte sneaked off to the champions tent to say good luck and stuff, Hermione was at one side and Charlotte was at the other, talking to Cedric. She didn't know whether to tell him that the boys listened in on their conversation yesterday, but he got quite suspicious as to why Charlotte was not talking to Harry. She just shook it off and told him to be safe and such. As they were talking, Hermione hugged Harry and then there was a sudden flash.

Charlotte was confused until she saw Skeeter waltz in, she rolled her eyes at her and went to hug Cedric as a good luck, when there was another flash. She sighed and realized that they just took a photo of them as well.

Lottie was about to go off at her until Dumbledore, the Minister, Maxime and Karkaroff came in. Charlotte stood next to Hermione and waited until Dumbledore caught them. She timed it and it took him exactly 20 seconds to notice that they were there, he then shooed the girls off and Charlotte dragged Hermione to their seats.

Everyone waited a good 5 minutes before the adults came back out and sat in their seats. The canon went off and out came Krum, he did quite well and was only grazed a little bit. Fleur was next and Charlotte felt sorry for her because she was so unprepared. Fleur managed to get burned quite a bit.

Cedric was next and Lottie watched nervously as the fire from the dragon nearly hit him twice. After a few minutes, he finally got the egg, he smiled up at Charlotte as she stood up and cheered and clapped as loud as she could. Harry was the last one and Charlotte watched anxiously as he struggled quite a bit. It wasn't until he summoned his broom and flew away that her nerves got worse, the dragon managed to break free and everyone watched as it flew after him.

Charlotte's leg bounced up and down and Hermione and Lottie were holding hands as they hoped that he was alright. He may of pissed her off last night, but she still cared for him.

Lottie was getting quite cold and bored as everyone sat for nearly an hour waiting for Harry to come back. And when he did, he flew straight down and got the golden egg in his arms, cheers erupted just like the other three times. Charlotte sighed in relief as no one got seriously hurt. Every Gryffindor student made their way to the common room. Charlotte, however, looked for Cedric so she could congratulate him.

When she did find him, he was surrounded by his friends and some girls. When he noticed her, his friends began to tease him and they pushed him towards her, Charlotte smiled as he held the golden egg in his hands. He got in front of her and she stated softly.

"Well done on the first task, Cedric. You did really good, I'm glad you didn't get too hurt."

Cedric chucked and replied.

"Thank you, Lottie."

Charlotte sneaked a look at the group behind him to see the boys smirking and smiling brightly, the girls, however, let's say she's not in their good books. If looks can kill, Lottie'd be 50 feet under. She continued.

"I should probably let you go celebrate with your house, I need to go to mine as well. I'll see you later."

Charlotte then gained the confidence to lean up and softly kiss his cheek. His cheeks then blushed and he sheepishly chuckled, she gave him a smile before walking off.

Lottie entered the common room to see them all cheering for Harry, Fred and George had Harry on their shoulders and they were exclaiming. Charlotte chuckled and leant against the door frame. Seamus asked if Harry could open his egg and he agreed, but when he did, the loudest, ear deafening scream came out. Harry quickly shut the egg and Charlotte jumped when she heard her twin exclaim from behind her.

"What the bloody hell was that?"

Everyone turned towards them and there was an awkward silence. Fred muttered.

"Alright, everyone, go back to your knitting. This is gonna be uncomfortable enough without all you nosey sods listening in."

Everyone made themselves busy and Ron spoke to Harry first.

"I reckon you'd have to be barking mad to put your own name in the goblet of fire."

Harry scoffed and replied.

"Caught on have you? Took you long enough."

Ron defended himself.

"Wasn't just me who thought you'd done it, everyone was saying it behind your back."

Harry sighed and responded.

"Brilliant, that makes me feel loads better."

Ron let out a laugh and stated.

"At least I warned you about the dragons."

Harry's eyebrows furrowed and he muttered.

"Hagrid warned me about the dragons."

Ron stood up straighter and shook his head whilst replying.

"Oh, no, no, I did. Don't you remember? I told Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that Parvati told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you. Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along. I thought you'd be alright, you know, after you figured that out."

Harry let out a laugh and asked.

"Who could possibly figure that out? That's completely mental."

Ron smiled before replying.

"Yeah, it is, isn't it. Suppose I was a bit distraught."

The boys chuckled and Hermione muttered "boys" before looking at Charlotte. She stated.

"I think you boys have someone else to apologize to properly."

Seamus and Dean came up behind the boys and they all looked to Charlotte as she was leaned against the door frame still.

They each apologized sincerely and she made her face look angry before letting out a laugh and smiling, she then stood properly and called out for a group hug. They all chuckled and Hermione and Neville joined the hug.
