Chapter 64

{time skip a few weeks}

"Okay can you turn to the side?" "Perfect hold it there!" "That's it!" "Work it!" The photographer praised as Betty was modelling. Betty was currently shooting for the front cover of her book. She had finished all the chapters and had sent them to Kevin who had sent them to the publishing company, now all Betty was waiting for was the edits and then she had to change a few things. "Okay take a ten minute break guys!" The photographer said. Betty went into the back room where Veronica, Josie and Val were and she sat in the makeup chair to top up her makeup. "You're doing amazing!" Josie smiled. "Thank you, do you think I should change outfits V?" Betty asked. "We have one last outfit, it will match your pink makeup but you'll probably have to curl your hair a little?" Veronica said and Betty agreed. "Okay!". Betty changed into a white and pink floral dress and sat down so Val could curl her hair; she'd only brought the girls with her for this shoot today because it wasn't with a massive shoot. "So I was thinking, for my book launch you should all bring a plus one" Betty smiled. "Are you sure?" Val asked. "Of course! You guys are my best friends and my family I want you to bring whoever you want but you will have to run in by security for the entrance list" Betty added. "Thanks betts!" Josie said and they all hugged. "Okay let's get you back out there" Veronica said and Betty nodded. She quickly pulled out her phone and text jughead before heading back out:

Betty: hey! Missing you! I shouldn't be too long now, I'll pick is up lunch? Love you <3

Betty stood in front of the camera, they got different shots and used different props and then they were done. Betty looked at the images the photographer had taken, he then handed them too her and she thanked him before changing back into her Normal clothes, waving goodbye and she left. Betty had actually driven to the shoot that morning as it wasn't far, so she got into her car and pulled out her phone, seeing jughead had messaged her back:

Jug: hey baby, I miss you too! I'll be waiting for when you come home but just a heads up, Kevin is here with the edits for your book. I don't mind what we have for lunch so your choice? Love you <3 <3

She smiled to herself and then started up her car and drove off. She picked up lunch for her, jughead and Kevin, from her favourite lunch place. She got herself mac and cheese, her favourite cheat day meal, for Kevin she got him a club sandwich and for jughead she got him a burger and fries. She placed the food on the passenger seat and snapped a picture for her instagram story and posted it with some food emojis before heading home.

"I'm home!" She chirped when she entered the apartment. "Hey betts" Kevin Hugged her. "I saw you brought us food on your instagram!" He said excitedly. "I did! You have your favourite sandwich and juggie I got you a burger" Betty smiled and placed the food on the coffee table. "How did it go?" Jug asked and smiled when she hugged him. "It was really good, I'll show you the pictures let me grab my laptop" she said and kissed him. She grabbed her laptop and showed them both the images. "These are amazing B!" Kevin squealed excitedly. "Yeah you look beautiful" Jug grinned. "I'm glad you like them, now I have to have a meeting about the design of the cover, which I would like you both there for" she said and pointed at them, while opening her Mac and cheese. "Of course we will be there!" They both Said. "Wait... you're eating your cheat day meal?" Jug smiled. "Yep! Today's been a good day so why not make it better" she beamed and took a bite. Jughead and Kevin shared a smile, loving how happy betty had been recently and her eating habits had been better as well. "Okay So Kev, is there much to change on the edits?" Betty asked. "Not really, it shouldn't take you more than a couple of days" he said and Betty sighed in relief. "Thank god, so that means they liked it?" She said, hopefully. "Yes they loved it" Kevin smiled. "I'm proud of you baby" jug said and leant over to kiss her softly. "Thank you juggie".
