Yesterday I married the singer and songwriter, Shawn Mendes. Him and I are beyond in love and we are so excited to go to Maui for our honeymoon. We are currently waiting for our plane at the airport. I turned to Shawn and ran my fingers through his hair. He hummed in contentment.
"So, you still haven't told me what we're going to do once we reach Maui. Are you ever going to tell me?" I asked Shawn with a giggle. He laughed.
"Well Mrs. Mendes, I can't, because I want to surprise you. So, stop asking. It's all going to be a surprise." Shawn said. I groaned.
"Ugh, I don't like surprises." I said.
"You liked it when I surprised you by proposing to you." Shawn pointed out.
"You know what Shawn? You're absolutely right." I said with a laugh, and Shawn laughed too. We soon boarded our plane and headed off to Maui. Once we got to our hotel, Shawn and I plopped down on the bed.
"That was a long flight." Shawn said.
"Yup. So what do we do now?" I asked. Shawn and I sat up and turned to each other.
"Well, tonight we have dinner, and then we can do stuff afterwards." Shawn said.
"What type of stuff would we do?" I asked. Shawn smirked and cocked his head to the side. "Oh my God you mean sex." I said. Shawn laughed and nodded.
"Come on, let's rest a little and then get ready for dinner." Shawn said as he got into the bed. I did the same thing and we cuddled up to each other.
"I love you Mr. Mendes." I said. Shawn smiled at me and kissed my forehead.
"I love you too Mrs. Mendes." Shawn said. We woke up a little later. I put on a small red dress and red heels. I put my makeup on and walked out to Shawn, who was wearing a red button down shirt and black dress pants.
"Shawn? Do I look okay?" I asked. Shawn turned around and when he saw me, his jaw dropped and his eyes widened.
"Damn did I hit the lottery or what? God you're gorgeous." Shawn said as he walked over to me, causing me to blush and giggle.
"You look so handsome, my love." I said, which caused Shawn to blush. I laughed and smiled.
"Come on, let's go to dinner." Shawn said as he took my hand. Electricity shot through me and yet at the same time I felt safe and warm. Shawn took me to a fancy restaurant and we had a very romantic dinner. We went back to our hotel room and made love before going to bed.
I woke up without Shawn's arms around me. I looked out at our deck, and sure enough, there was my shirtless, but wearing basketball shorts, husband, just looking out at the ocean. I got up, put on some shorts and a tank top and went out to our deck. Shawn turned around and smiled when he saw me.
"Hey handsome. What are you doing out here?" I asked. Shawn pulled me into his lap.
"Hey gorgeous. Just admiring the view, although right now I have a much better one." Shawn said. I gently swatted at his chest.
"Stop! You're making me blush!" I said. Shawn threw his head back with laughter as he held me close to him.
"Well, that was my goal. Last night was amazing, my love. Are you sore or anything?" Shawn asked. I shook my head no.
"Nope. I'm fine, but you're right, it was amazing. What are we doing today?" I asked.
"Well, our first stop is Waiehu Beach. We'll be there for most of the day, and then another fancy dinner, or would you rather stay in for dinner and order room service?" Shawn asked. I thought for a moment.
"Would you mind if we stayed in and ordered room service?" I asked. Shawn shook his head.
"Not at all honey. Come on, let's get ready for the beach." Shawn said as he tapped my legs. I put on a bathing suit that Shawn had picked out for me and then put my tank top and shorts on over it. I walked back out to Shawn. He still had his basketball shorts on but he was wearing a white shirt on, covering up the beautiful upper half of his body.
"Alright, I'm ready. Do you have the towels?" I asked Shawn.
"I do. Let's go." Shawn said as he gently grabbed my hand. We interlaced our fingers and headed to Waiehu Beach. Shawn said that it's a private beach, so no one else will be there. Perfect. We got there and laid out our towels.
"Do you want to go for a swim first or relax first?" I asked Shawn.
"Um, how about we relax, then swim, then relax again? That sound good my love?" Shawn asked. I nodded. We put our two towels up against each other and cuddled.
"This is so nice Shawn. Thank you." I said. Shawn had a look of confusion on his face.
"What are you thanking me for?" He asked.
"For this honeymoon. It's been so good so far and I know the whole trip is going to be great." I said while looking up at him. Shawn smiled and kissed my nose.
"You're welcome sweetheart. You know, I never got a kiss this morning." Shawn pointed out.
"Maybe we should fix that." I said with a smirk. Shawn nodded and soon his lips were on mine. I felt sparks shootout throughout my body, I felt butterflies erupt and fly around in my stomach, and I felt my heart race as if I had just run a marathon. I smiled into the kiss and so did Shawn, causing us to pull away.
"Did you know that your kisses are amazing?" Shawn asked.
"Well yours are better." I said. Shawn laughed and shook his head as he looked out at the ocean. I laid my head on his chest. After a little bit we went for a swim and then laid back down on our towels so we could cuddle. It was soon time for us to leave, but we took a selfie of us kissing in front of the water before leaving. We headed back to the hotel and ordered our food. After eating and then making love again, we went to bed.
The next day, I woke up in Shawn's arms. Today I was a little sore. Hopefully he wouldn't mind if we stayed in. I decided to admire his handsome features while he slept. I know, that probably sounds creepy, but he's just so handsome. I looked at his eyelids. They covered his caramel colored eyes that I love to look into. I looked at his nose. It's such a cute nose. I ran my finger over his cheek scar, and when he looked like he was going to wake up, I closed my eyes. I opened them when I realized that he hadn't woken up. My finger then traced his delicious lips. They're gorgeous lips, so divine and magical. He soon stirred and I closed my eyes.
"Mrs. Mendes, I know you're awake." Shawn said. I opened my eyes and smiled at him.
"Good morning handsome." I said.
"Were you touching my face, or was that just my dream?" Shawn asked.
"No, I was touching your face." I said with a laugh. Shawn laughed too. "I just couldn't help but admire your handsome features." I said while blushing.
"Baby, I'm not even that good looking." Shawn said. My heart broke.
"Oh honey, you're the most handsome man I've ever seen. No one is better looking than you. I love you so much Shawn, please don't think that about yourself baby." I said. Shawn nodded and gave me a smile. I smiled back. "I have a favor to ask." I said.
"And what's that?" Shawn asked.
"Could we stay in today?" I asked. Shawn nodded.
"That was the plan anyways, so of course." Shawn said. I smiled.
"Thank you. I'm just a little sore." I said. Shawn frowned.
"Sorry honey." Shawn said.
"No it's okay. It's because we had a good time, right?" I asked. Shawn nodded.
"Yeah, I just feel bad." Shawn said. I kissed his nose.
"Don't. Please don't my love." I said.
"Okay. Are you up for doing more of it today?" Shawn said and asked. I smiled and nodded. We had a fun day, and a fun rest of our trip. We got to watch the sunrise and the sunset on more than one occasion, and Shawn took me on a cruise. It was so beautiful.
"I'm so sad to be leaving." I said to Shawn as we packed up our stuff. He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck and shoulders loosely.
"I know, I am too. But we had fun and we took lots of pictures and we'll always have memories here." Shawn said. I nodded and rested my head on his chest while looking up at him. He smiled at me.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." Shawn said while brushing a stray hair out of my face. I closed my eyes and smiled. "Come on, we have a plane to catch."
"Ugh, fine." I groaned, not wanting to leave. Shawn laughed. We, after a very long flight, arrived home, and Shawn carried me over the threshold and set me down.
"There you go Mrs. Mendes." Shawn said.
"Please never stop calling me that." I requested. Shawn laughed.
"You'll always be Mrs. Mendes, so I would never dream of calling you something else besides cute nicknames." Shawn said. Our trip was fun, but I was glad to be home. After watching tv for a bit, I grew tired.
"Babe?" I asked. Shawn looked at me.
"Yes my love?" Shawn asked.
"I'm tired." I said, my eyes growing heavy.
"Well, I'll carry you up to bed, and then we can fall asleep. That sound good?" Shawn asked.
"Yes but you don't have to carry me." I said.
"No, but I want to." Shawn said. I laughed and squealed as he picked me up and carried me bridal style up the stairs and into our bedroom. He laid me down on our bed and got in on his side. As we cuddled up to each other, I smiled.
"I'm so happy Shawn." I said.
"Good, because I am too, and your happiness is my happiness." Shawn said.
"I love you Shawn, goodnight." I said.
"I love you too Y/n, goodnight." Shawn said, and with that, we fell asleep.
