" What are you doing " shouted Surekha. Naina was in a corner, shivering. Rawat slapped her hard again.

" You are asking me what am I doing. This daughter of mine is the cause of all my misery. Do you know how we stand in front of society today. Do you even think she will get a good alliance now. Do you realize that I am not MA chairman and have been expelled from MA. All because of her. A daughter should be a good deal for the father. But look what she has turn out to be" he slapped Naina again and then dragged and put her in the room and locked the room from outside.

" Surekha this girl wont go anywhere outside now. Give her food and water in the room. Naveen keep security outside the room. My first job is to ensure someone from our supporters take the chariman post. For that I have to discuss strategy with Mahantji. He has to help me here solidly. Otherwise he is going to know who Shashank Rawat is. I will not drown alone. Will take him also. Next is get an alliance for this girl and marry her of at the earliest. For all the mess she has created she owes her father a good deal. Let me see who will pay the best price for her" . As he walked out, Naina banged the door and cried. Her brother asked her to shut up. Surekha went to take some medicine for Naina so that her wounds can be bandaged.

" Badam kheer for everyone" came Vindhya. " You made it " asked Sudhir

" Devarji in the last 10 years I have tried to teach your wife your favourite dish. But alas she can make so many things, but not Badam Kheer. I made it " came Renu smiling.

" That is what I thought Bhabi. Eating Badam kheer made by my wife will remain a dream for me in this life time" told Sudhir

"Bhaiyya I want to eat kheer. If you continue like this by the look on Bhabi's face none of us will get kheer. Doesn't matter who makes we get kheer right" told Sreedhar and the bacha gang agreed with him.

" Sree I will tell you the same thing once you are married. If your wife doesn't learn making gajar ka halwa you will be always at Maa's mercy for eating it" told Sudhir

" Sudhir even if he gets married till I am there I am not going to give the privilege of making puris and gajar ka halwa for his wife. I will make it for him. It is for him to ensure that his wife understands it and doesn't make an issue out of it" came in Maheswari and caressed his hair.

" So Sudhir we will have fight in this house finally between saas and bahu over gajar ka halwa. I guess we both escaped" said Tilak and they all laughed.

Vindhya glanced at Suman who was smiling silently. She knew Suman was not a girl who will make issue out of gajar ka halwa. Still she decided to tease. " Suman you are silent. What is your take on the issue"

" What issue Vindhya Bhabi"

" Arrey Maa telling she wont allow Sreedhar's wife to make Puris and gajar ka halwa"

" What should I tell. Maa told Sreedhar has to manage. So I guess he will have to manage who will make gajar ka halwa or rather from whose hand he will like to have it"said Suman rising to the bait.

Sreedhar kept hand on his head " Sumanji I don't understand, why are you woman so weird. You want to take decisions for yourself and then when some decision is asked to you, you push it over to the guy. Now tell me for a guy how can he choose between Maa and biwi"

" Sreedhar biwi comes to your home leaving her maayka. So she is your responsibility or rather we girls come leaving our maayka trusting you guys. If we can leave behind the family we grew up and become part of a new family cant you take simple decision. I am right naa Vindhya Bhabi, Renu Bhabi "

" Of course you are Suman. First time someone is speaking for us. We are with you Suman. Answer her Sreedhar " told Vindhya

" Sreedhar Chachu you are trapped. Even from law point biwi scores if she claims the right. And Suman Chachi is very much right. If I am going with a guy to his house, leaving my house then the guy has to show first responsibility towards me" told Poornima.

" Bhaiyya you are going to make her lawyer. I guess the day she wears the black coat better no guy falls in front of her. He will be crucified mercilessly and if her Suman Chachi turns her advisor well less said the better"

" Suman and Poornima let me tell you one thing. The day a mother feels her son can be entrusted completely with her bahu, that day she herself will give bahu all the rights" told Maheswari

" Maa I was joking. Mother has the first right on her son. Wife comes later" told Suman

" Look Bhaiyya so at the end saas-bahu will be one and we will be out. Maa wants to give bahu rights, bahu tells Maa has the first right"

" Sreedhar as a thumb rule never try to interfere in saas-bahu fight, they will resolve it themselves " told Tilak.

" Bhaiyya jokes aside I want to keep a serious proposal" told Sudhir

" What proposal Sudhir" asked Tilak

" You are nominating for chairman post " told Sudhir

" Me, Sudhir there are quite a few seniors and if I go in the midst, it can create unnecessary issues"

" Tilak you always wanted to change things right. You always love to question right. I would say what Sudhir telling is a good idea. Anyways you all are fighting the existing norms for sometime. Take the power also. MA needs a lot of changes. You have your brothers. Whole family is there by you. Why don't you give it a try son" told Rajasekhar.

" Tilak Papa is right. And Sudhir and Sreedhar are there with you right" told Renu

" Bhaiyya please, let us give it a try. We have been in the receiving end of many unfair practices. Not only us, many merchants who do fair business" told Sudhir

Tilak looked at his family. In everyone's eyes he could see the support for him.

" Fine I will stand. But on one condition you both will always stand by me, support me in taking decisions"

" Should that be told Bhaiyya. We are there for you" told Sreedhar

" So it is decided. Bhaiyya we will file the nomination on last day 28th –Jan. " told Sudhir

" Why last day Sudhir " asked Rajasekhar

" Papa we don't want anyone to know what we have in mind. So it is better to see who all are there and then make strategy accordingly and then submit our nomination" told Sudhir
