You searched through the files desperately. "Can you find it?" Shiro asked.

"Ugh! Just give me a second" You said.

"Hurry, if the guards find you," Shiro said.

"The guards won't find me and even if they did they won't be able to arrest me or anything," You said.

"Fine, but hurry. I have a pod waiting for you. Looks like you weren't the only spy in this ship" Shiro said.

"Yeah, it's lucky I found him, otherwise I would be screwed" You chuckled. "I can't believe that he was the spy the whole time. Who would have guessed?"

"He is a weird one, that's for sure" Shiro laughed. "I can't believe he's still alive" Shiro commented.

"Clumsy, too loose with his lips, but a great fighter and thinker" You added.

"True, that's what keeps him alive" Shiro replied.

"Okay, I got it" You quickly downloaded the files into a small nail chip and rushed out the door.

"I wouldn't go anywhere if I were you." You looked behind you and saw Lotor leaning right next to the door.

"Damn it!" You ran faster for the pods and contacted Shiro. "Problem, Lotor just found out and I think the pod idea isn't going to work," You said.

"Dang it! Out of all the times, you could get caught" Shiro growled. "You're going to have to do an Alto evac" Shiro said.

"What?!" You exclaimed. "Shiro that was a hypothetical way of escaping, I don't know if that will work!" You protested.

"But you made that evac!" Shiro argued.

"Which is why I am questioning it!" You growled.

"It doesn't matter! I'm on a ship right now heading to your direction. It's now or never" Shiro said.

"Darn you!" You veered left instead of right and headed for the docking bays. If you could make it into space then you would be in the most danger of your life until Shiro rescued you. You pulled out a syringe from your pocket and stared at the bland liquid. This was going to hurt like no other pain and it was going to be the longest five seconds of your life. As you made your way to the docking bay Narti stopped you. "This isn't my best day is it" You sighed.

You charged right toward her and shot up high near her face and quickly slid under her legs. You kept one eye on her and the other on her tail. It was a quick escape, but Narti wrapped her tail around your neck and flung you back. Your body slammed into the wall behind you. Upon impact, the syringe broke. The liquid content was spilt all over the floor solidifying it into ice. Narti took one glance at it and charged at you again.

You only dodged her attacks and headed straight out. Syringe or not, you were going to die anyway. It was just that with the syringe, you had the hope of being revived again. You made sure your helmet was on. It would only grant you a second of life before space would do its work and crush you into pieces. You jumped out and your life was gone, just like that. Your mind was focused only on one thing. You had tested the syringe on yourself hours ago. It was a weaker one and it was wearing off fast, only this one had a different purpose, would it work?

...

"(Y/n)!" Shiro cried out. You gasped and sat straight up in a bed. "Oh my gosh! I can't believe you're alive!" You looked up at a human man who was standing at the side of your bed.

"From your voice, I recognise you as Shiro," You said.

"Yeah, that's men" Shiro answered.

"Well, it's nice to finally meet you in person" You smiled. You extended your hand and greeted Shiro with a handshake. "I managed to get the files, did you get it?" You asked.

"Yeah, they went flying off into space for a little while, but I managed to get them before they drifted too far" Shiro answered

"That's good" You sighed.

"You are one hell of a soldier" Shiro laughed.

"Huh?" You asked.

"Gato told me all about your secret past" Shiro answered.

"Gato!" You growled.

"Sorry, was that information personal?" Shiro asked.

"All I did was for the Galran empire," You said. "I'm still ashamed of what I did. All those people were doing what I'm doing now. I killed them in order to save my skin and I killed them in cold blood. They also had a personal connection to me one way or another."

"Well, it doesn't matter now," Shiro said. "What's done is done what you can do now is choose what you're going to do with what you've done and learn from it or sulk around and think about what you should or shouldn't have done."

You stared at the white sheets that covered your body. "How long was I out?" You asked.

"Enough time for Gato to fill me in about everything, around a week" Shiro answered.

"I've been out for a week?!" You gasped. "How much brain damage did I take?"

"It's not that, it took a while to thaw you out and revive you to a stable state. Gato thought that you might not make it so he told me everything so that there would be some people at least who know about you and your past" Shiro said.

"So that's why Gato told you. I thought he was getting soft" You sighed.

"Well, your secret is safe with me" Shiro smiled.

"Oh, I'm not so sure about that" You smirked.

"Huh?" Shiro asked.

"Your lips are always loose when someone tells you something that you want. You risk too much for what you want in the long run that you forget about the short run sometimes" You said.

"What makes you say that?" Shiro asked.

"Gato also told me that you have a crush on me" You answered. Shiro started to sweat and looked at you nervously.

"Heh, he told you that huh?" Shiro chuckled nervously and scratched his neck.

"Yes, he did" You smirked. "Not that I'm complaining" You smiled. Shiro stopped his procrastination and looked down at you.

"You're not?" Shiro asked.

"How can I? I have one of my best friends and ally crushing on me while I also have a crush on him" You said. You relaxed onto your bed and sighed. "Kind of cliche though don't you think?" You asked.

"I don't think it's cliche once it gets real" Shiro admitted. "I was piloting the Black Lion. It was like something out of a children's show and my whole story with the Galra... It's unreal" Shiro said.

"I"m sorry for what my empire and people have done to you" You apologised.

"Don't be, I have a friend who's part Galran and despite who he is, he still does his best to make the galaxy a better place. In fact, I believe that he's piloting the Black Lion like he was meant to be. He's a born leader, he just doesn't think he's up to it. I hope I didn't give him too much of a burden when I left" Shiro said. You pitied him.

You rested your hand on his shoulder. "I'm sure that you did just fine. If he is the leader that you think he is then I bet that he is going great because he had a great teacher and role model" You smiled. Shiro smiled as well.

"Thank you," He said.

"You deserve it" You replied.

"I hate to be cliche, but can I ask you to kiss me?" Shiro asked. You laughed at his request.

"I don't think you have to ask" You smiled. Shiro turned to you and kissed you firmly. He cupped your cheek and wrapped his arm around your waist. He was going to hold onto you and never let you go.
