"Gate 12 is now open. Passengers with children and business class flyers may line up at the front." The announcer retreated from her microphone and joined another flight attendant to scan tickets.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" I whispered to Keith.

"Believe me, Pidge is a genius, it'll work" Keith replied.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Hannah, believe me, it will work" Keith answered. I frowned. I had no luggage, a fony ticket that was wet with sweat and fifteen hours of waiting on a plane ahead of me. I was still unsure if this was going to work. Keith and I lined up with other business travellers who actually paid for their tickets, unlike us.

'They're never going to believe us, not when I'm still wearing this casual wear' I groaned.

"Tickets please" The flight attended said. I looked at her and quietly handed my ticket over to her, Keith doing the same. "Thank you" She smiled, moving onto the next set of passengers. I blinked and somehow got my legs to work again.

"She actually let us in!" I whispered.

"Yeah, just keep quiet to make sure that no one else is going to stop us" Keith replied.

"Oh! Right" I said. I was jumping on the inside. Business class, here I come!

...

"Oh man! These seats are so comfortable!" I sighed, sinking into the heavenly cushions.

"Yeah, good thing mum and dad got us tickets to Japan instead of somewhere in the U.S again" Keith added. I gave Keith a look. "What? You actually wanted to go interstate again?" Keith asked.

"No no! I just thought that you were more of the Australian type" I answered.

"Why?" Keith asked.

"I don't know, that's what you said on the way here. You said that Australia was a better destination" I muttered.

"Whatever" Keith scoffed. I smiled to myself. I handled that conversation pretty well! It was actually pretty fun too! I tapped the TV screen in front of me and looked at the choice of movies. New movies that were in cinemas were advertised at the front next to a menu filled with mouth watering meals. Fifteen hours didn't seem as bad as it seemed before.

...

"Hannah, Hannah wake up" Keith whispered.

"Huh, what?" I croaked. I rubbed my eyes and sat up straight. "Where are we again?" I asked.

"We're almost at your old house" Keith answered.

"Is your girlfriend up?" A voice asked. Keith quickly squeezed my hand. On the plane, we agreed that we should have a sign when we need to play along with another. Keith suggested a clenched first or the squeezing of the hand. It was subtle and helpful for playing situation. I squeezed back and gave Keith a smile.

"Yeah, she's up" Keith answered.

"That's good, we're almost here," The driver said. You scanned the windows and the front seat, taking note of the professional equipment, equivalent to a taxi driver's gear. "What are you two doing at this house?" The driver asked.

"This used to be her home, she moved away a while ago and wanted to see how things have been" Keith answered.

"Yeah, it's been what... Five years?" I added.

"That's a long while. Is that why you brought your camera?" The diver questioned.

"Yeah, we know the family that's been living there" I replied.

"From what I've heard, the person who owned that house is in the hospital," The driver said.

"H-He's in the hospital?" I stammered. "How long?" I asked.

"Oh, I would say a few months now. I only heard some stories. I drive around here a lot" The driver answered.

"Is the man okay?" I asked, trembling.

"How do you know this man?" The driver asked.

"The man is her uncle" Keith butted in.

"Okay, you don't look too good. If you don't want to talk about it, I can stop" The driver said.

"Yeah, thank you" I whispered. My shoulders drooped as I rested my elbows on my knees. 'I knew I was gone a long time, but I didn't think that dad would be in the hospital. He was fine when I left and he was healthy and eating well. What went wrong?' I thought.

"Hey," Keith said. "You okay?" He asked.

"No" I answered.

"Come here" Keith pulled me into a hug. I felt so... Twisted. I came here to prove that Shiro was my brother and now I find that dad is sick. I don't know if Pidge can twist some more strings so that I can meet up with my dad without being caught or recognised. What am I going to do?

The car slowly pulled to a stop. "I have the keys" I whispered.

"Okay, thank you," Keith said, getting out of the car. "How much?" Keith asked.

"The first ride is free, call me if you need a lift anywhere else" The driver smiled. Keith smiled back and waved goodbye as the taxi drove off into the distance.

"Got the camera ready?" Keith asked.

"Ready" You answered.

"Okay, let's go in," Keith said.
