You couldn't believe it. There was a ring. A silver band with a big fat diamond on top that was presented to you by a man kneeling in front of you. Your heart was beating so fast that you bet that he could hear it. A simple word was about to change your life. Tears dripped down your eyes. "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes" You cried.

Keith eagerly slipped the ring on your finger and kissed you gingerly.

"Yes I got that on film!" Pidge squealed. She leapt up from the bushes, twigs and leave stuck around her bird nest hair. She hoisted her video camera up and high-fived Lance and Hunk. "Yes! We're going to play this on their wedding!" Pidge screamed.

Keith broke off the kiss to stare at his teammates harshly. But you couldn't stop giggling and laughing. Butterflies were messing with your brain and stomach. "Come on Keith, you're the first of us to even get close to getting married, of course we're here to record this" Hunk remarked.

"He's got a point, and let's not forget why these guys are single, because they're immature" You smirked.

"Hey!" Lance retorted. "I am not immature for my age, I have just natured my childish side even though I am in adulthood."

"Seriously? Eight years of being a Paladin and you're still like this? You're no different to what you were when I first met you" You scoffed.

"I am a man of many talents (y/n) and being immature seems to be one of them" Lance replied.

"Glad I'm getting married to this guy then" You chuckled.

"That I am thankful of" Keith smiled, pulling you in closer.

"Aw! Ain't that the cutest thing!" Pidge giggled, snapping a picture.

"Just wait until they get married, that's when things are going to get big!" Hunk grinned, drooling.

"And you better invite us!"

...

"Are you ready?" Your mother asked. You took several sharp breaths in and out. "Honey, I would rather you faint from being overexcited about marrying Keith than from breathing in too fast" She chuckled.

"Sorry, I'm just so nervous!" You blew your cheeks out and tried to calm your unsteady heartbeat. Your mother took your hands and clasped hers over yours.

"You will be great. You are more beautiful then I could have ever dreamed (y/n). It's time" She smiled. Tears swelled up in your eyes "Okay," You replied. Your mother smiled once more and led you out of the bridal chambers. Your fellow bridesmaids also smiled as they walked past ahead of you.

"You look stunning" Pidge whispered. Her hair was grown to her waist and was adorned with small flowers over her braided crown. She was your Maid of Honour.

"And you should have let your hair grow more so that you could find a man" You giggled.

"Nah, had to let you get married first" Pidge grinned. You giggled and breathed in deeply. This was it. The doors opened, the music flooded to your ears, the flower girl walked in, then it was the Pidge, the bridesmaids and then you.

Your father held you by the arm tightly. "Are you ready?" He asked.

"More than ready" You replied. You took your first step forward, then your second. And one after the other, you walked down the aisle to the man you loved. Closer and closer the alter became larger and larger, more real then you could ever imagined it to be.

The minister began his speech, we said our vows and at the each two decisive words locked in you and Keith's lives together forever. "I do" You answered.

"You may kiss the bride"

Keith didn't hesitate. He pulled you in and held you near him. "I am going to remember this moment for the rest of my life" He whispered in your ear. "I love you (y/n)."

"I love you too" You whispered.

Grand music took you two back to the aisle, holding each other. You and Keith never took your eyes off of each other the whole way down. There were flutters in your stomach and your chest. You were finally together and he was yours as much as you were his. You were bonded together forever with vows that you took today. Nothing was going to come in between you two and nothing should ever come in between you two.

The music swirled all around you playing grandly, then softening to slow and steady beat. Like the movements you and Keith were portraying at the reception dance. You weren't wearing your original wedding dress. It was almost like what you were wearing when you and Keith first danced with one another. It was still white and floor lengthened, but there was another layer of skirt around the length of your shirt that you wore.

"Wait" You stopping, "I know this tune." You craned your neck slightly and listened. "Where did I hear this?" You asked.

"Listen a little more carefully" Keith answered. You craned your neck slightly more and listened.

"This was the song I played while I taught you to dance!" You exclaimed.

"That's right" Keith smiled.

"How did you remember?" You asked.

"I have a good memory when it comes to these things" He answered. You smiled and leant in his chest.

"I'm going to remember this" You whispered. You could feel Keith smiling as well. It was like there was an increase of warmth when he did; you could sense it.

"You know what, I think I'm going to remember this moment, the time when we danced at 5am in the morning, and when you taught me to dance for the first time because guess what?" He said.

"What?" You asked.

"When you taught me to dance that day, it gave me the courage to ask you out the very next day" He answered.

"Ha ha!" You laughed, "I remember that date. You asked me out on the training deck with the others."

"Hey, it was still a date, there was no one around" Keith argued. "And I got a little closer to you through that experience."

"Yeah, you taught me very close combat" You smiled.

"And look where that led" Keith smiled.

"Here" You answered.

For all the girls out there, especially if you're single and looking for a guy. Don't be in such a rush to find your Keith or your Lance, Shiro or Hunk. There is the perfect guy out there that is growing with you. If you rush into things before they're ready, as you know, undercooked bread is not nice. It has to be taken out of the oven and eaten at the right time.

Prepare yourselves while you are single. Mature, strengthen your relationships with your parents and family, they know you better than you may know yourself, they might even help you find the man of your dreams. If you are a Christian, root yourself in the word. A girl of Godly character attracts dependable men who are strong and mature. They will lead you as a man should and protect you as they have to.

Don't go running off for the 'cool guys' who are rebels and do all sorts of bad things. They are guys who are insecure and will pass their problems onto you. If you are looking for a man to fill your void, don't go after a guy. Prepare yourself and fix yourself so that you will pour your problems and insecurities to your partner.

If you girls would life more information about this topic, I would recommend Chad Eastman's book, 'Guys like girls who...' It's a really great book that has helped me and another book I think all girls who are 14+ years old should read are '99 thoughts about guys for girls' eyes only' by Kurt Johnston with Katie Edwards. Have a great day girls! Cheerio! <3
