Pidge and reader - Fun times

A year ago on Earth...

"Are you sure about this?!?" You whispered harshly.
"Shh!" Katie hushed, placing a finger over your mask. You and Pidge watched as a guard made his last round, making his way to the office to log his final round.

"Okay, clear!" Katie whispered, creeping out into the bright lights. You followed behind, watching the back for anything. Katie quietly laid her backpack down as she brought out disassembled parts one at a time. You watched as she gently laid them on the ground.

"Don't look at me! Look around the check if someone is coming!" Katie ordered.
"Katie I'm not cut out for this! We'll get caught! Again!" You whined.

"So what? You're dad's a cop" Katie sniggered.
"You're evil," You whimpered. "And freaking mad," You added.
"All the mad people are genius" Katie smirked.
"An evil scientist and a philosopher... Genius" You sighed, jerking your hands in the air.

"Thanks for the compliment! Make sure to keep them coming!" Katie taunted.
"If you tease me again I will scream and bring the guards over here" You threatened. "And because you've been caught before, you'll get blamed as well" Katie grinned.

You opened your mouth to speak, but shut it close. "I hate you so much" You growled.
"Yeah, I love you too" Katie laughed, finishing her gadget.

"So what's your gizmo this time?" You asked.
"I'm going to make water" Katie smiled, walking over to a power tower (Sorry, that's what I've called them since I was little). "And to making water you need that amount of energy?" You asked, pointing to the infamous metal towers surging with unimaginable amounts of voltage.

"Yep!" Katie answered, a little too loud for comfort.

"Shut up!" You growled.

"Okay okay! Sheesh" Katie sighed. Katie nimbly climbed to the top and strapped herself to the metal structure. You watched from below as Katie got ready to power up her invention. "This is going to work" you heard Katie say.

Suddenly a bright light accompanied with cracks and sizzles erupted above you. "Katie!" You screamed. You quickly free climbed up to reach your shocked friend.

As you climbed closer to your friend you noticed how wild and black her hair had become. "Katie?" You sniggered. "Are you okay?" You asked. Katie didn't reply, remaining in her frozen position. "Katie you're hair is sticking out and cut short! If anything you look like the modern Einstine!" You exclaimed, showing Katie a mirror.

"I like it!" Katie laughed.
