Shiro x reader - Makeover part 2

No words were spoken. First of all, you felt too awkward to say anything. Pidge nudged you five bucks under the table which you refused at first until she literally pushed it into your hand. You focused yourself on the food and getting out of here to save yourself and your stomach from social distress.

You quickly, but calmly ate your meal and left the table without a word. Obviously, Allura's plan didn't work out. The second you arrived at your room you slammed the door shut and quickly got yourself out of the gown and into your comfortable clothing. A grey hoodie, ripped jeans and boots brought back security knowing that you wouldn't be stared at in those clothes.

You cringed and fell back onto your bed, covering your face with your hands. It wasn't just the dress that got you feeling weird. It was that fact that someone was staring/gazing at you the entire time you ate, even though you never locked eyes with Shiro. You were too nervous to look back and now you regretted it. What if now Shiro thinks that you didn't like him when you actually do? Oh no... You messed up really badly.

You turned over and started banging your head on your pillow calling yourself names out of pure embarrassment. "I screwed up so bad" You sighed, stopping once you started to feel dizzy and lightheaded.

"(y/n)?" A voice asked, accompanied by a few polite knocks on your door. You froze when you heard your name being called.

"Uh yeah?" You answered, wondering if Shiro was at the door knocking. "

It's me Allura, can I come in?" Allura asked.

"Uh sure," You answered, sitting up straight. 

You watched as your bedroom door opened. Allura walked in with a sympathetic face, taking a seat next to you on your bed. Allura looked over to the dress you previously wore that was gently folded away on your desk. "

I see you've gotten yourself out of your misery" Allura laughed.

"Oh," You replied, hoping that you didn't offend her. "Sorry about that" You apologised.

"No, I should be the one apologising you for tormenting you and Pidge tonight" Allura confessed. You answered with a silence, unable to say anything else.

"You look troubled," Allura observed, looking at you.

"You could say that" You cringed.

"Oh no, what have I done?" Allura asked.

"You didn't do something, it's just something that I did" You confessed.

"Is there anything I can help you with?" Allura asked.

"...I don't think so..." You answered. You sadly stayed on the side of your bed hanging your head.

"...I don't know if this is the right time to bring this up..." Allura said slowly.

"But... I saw Shiro looking at you the entire time" Allura said. You winced when you remembered.

"I bet he thinks I'm awful!" You blurted out.

"No!" Allura objected. "Shiro doesn't think of you like that!" Allura reasoned.

"How do you know?" You questioned.

"Because you're his friend" Allura answered, "Even if the dinner plan didn't work he still cares about you as a part of his team. It won't change anything between you and him."

"Yeah... But I wish something good did change" You admitted.

"Are you saying something?" Allura asked, raising a brow of interest.

"I don't want to say it" You cringed, curling up into a ball.

"Come on (y/n)" Allura grinned. "No" You answered childishly.

"Say it," Allura ordered.

"No," You answered, tightening even further into a ball.

"Say it or something bad is going to happen" Allura sang.

"Like what?" You dared to ask.

"Like... Me telling everyone in the castle that you like Shiro" Allura threatened.

"NO DON'T!" You begged.

"Then say it," Allura teased.

"Fine! I like Shiro" You finally blurted out.

"Shiro? Did you hear that?" Allura called out in a loud voice. Shiro sheepishly walked in from the corridor with a smile. "

Yeah I heard," Shiro answered. You cringed in embarrassment and laughed out all the wiggly worms in your stomach.

"You were outside the room the entire time weren't you?" You asked. "

Yeah, Allura brought me along with her after you left" Shiro admitted.

"Matchmaker until the end I see" You sighed, looking over to Allura.

"At least my pairing and techniques work" Allura humphed, flicking her hair up in sophistication.

"Says who?" You asked, rolling your eyes.

"I do," Allura answered. You laughed at her response. Shiro smiled as well. Not because what Allura said was funny, which was actually amussing, but because you were smiling.
