Pidge and reader - Sanity part 2

You stared at the note. A flood of emotions swelled. You held the note close to your heart. You found comfort in the words of the note, but something felt wrong. You were no longer in a Galra ship and it really did seem like they were here to help you. You also noticed that you were wearing full clothing instead of the underwear that they gave you.

You felt safe by wearing these clothes, like it was some kind of barrier of protection. A reassurance that you hadn't forgotten, yet. You stood up and looked around you. All the other prisoners that were in the same cell as you were frozen. They were either dead or asleep in whatever you were in.

You panicked noticing how trapped they were. You did your best to swallow your fear down. You told yourself that these things help people. It took away your scars and your skin looked so natural and healthier than it had ever been. But they looked so vulnerable. Someone could just killed them and they wouldn't be able to do anything.

Suddenly a low hissing sound erupted behind you. "You're awake" A voice chirped. You turned around to see a small boy standing at the door. You were so confused. The boy seemed like a boy, but the voice was indistinctively a girl.

"Wh-who are you?" You asked.

"Why name's Pidge. I see you found my note" Pidge smiled.

"Are you really here to help us? Are you sure this isn't some kind of Galra prison that makes it looks like home?" You questioned.

"I promise. We're here to help. We hate the Galra, in fact. We have Voltron. We're going to stop the Galra and end their reign" Pidge answered.

"Why did you save me?" You asked. "You could have left me on that ship when I had my panic attack."

"You were hurt the most. We couldn't just leave you there in the Galra ship" Pidge answered.

"Yeah, but why? You don't even know me" You asked.

"Because we do things that are right. And what they did to you in that ship was obviously not right" Pidge answered. You stared at Pidge. His or her kindness was unfamiliar to you. You had never been met with such kindness. Pidge's nobility affected you. It was touching. "Do you want to something to eat? We've got some food in the dining room" Pidge offered.

"Okay," You nodded. You walked over to Pidge and followed her down out the room and down some hallways. "Where are we?" You asked.

"We're on the Castle of Lions. It's a really nice place. Me and the other guys live here" Pidge asked.

"Guys?" You gulped.

"Yeah, they're annoying when they're mucking around, but they're like my brothers. They won't hurt you. After all, you were rescued by one of them" Pidge said.

"R-really?" You stammered.

"Yeah, Shiro was the one who carried you on his ship so that we could get you into a medical pod" Pidge answered.

"Is that what I was in and what the others are in too?" You asked.

"Yep!" Pidge chirped. You followed until you walked into a luscious room decorated with marvellous interior, chandeliers and artwork that adorned the walls and ceiling.

"I've never seen such a beautiful dining room" You gasped. "You guys eat here everyday?" You asked.

"Yeah, have a seat" Pidge smiled. You looked at the table. The food there was still warm and steaming. Such comfort was foreign to you. You also noticed at how many males were at the table. Only a single female stood out.

"Welcome friend" You looked towards the female as she stood up with a warm smile. She gracefully walked over to you. You stood still, expecting a change of character. You waited for the inevitable slap or backhand that was to come. But you were met with a hug, a warm embrace. Your world shook as you felt her warm arms embrace you.

You didn't know what to say. You couldn't take it anymore. It came out all at once. Tears flooded your eyes and you began to cry. You hugged her back, cherishing her love. It was like seeing a mother for the first time in years. That moment of finally seeing her again and pulling her into an embrace.

"You're safe now. We're here to protect you"
