Haxus x Galran reader - The Light

Start from the beginning

Then you could hear Haxus behind you being dragged and beaten. "Haxus!" You cried.

"(y/n)!" Haxus replied.

"Lovers in the barracks, now this will be fun" One of the guards laughed. You have dragged down the hallway to a towering figure. You gasped when you saw those eyes again. They were even more furious than they ever were and sharpened at the sight of your sorry face.

"Bring her with me" Your father ordered. The guards beside you continued to drag you across the floor's surface until you saw Haxus' squad lined up along with yours.

'Oh no, not this father please!' You cried in your mind.

"Students!" Your father cried to the sleepy crowd. "Allow me to show you the face of the receiver who accepts mercy and pity." Your father grabbed your neck and lifted you up for everyone to see. Spotlights in the assembly hall blinded you against the dark shadows of the hall. "For this crime committed by none other than my daughter, I present to you all the ways to execute your prisoners in war!" Your father declared.

"NNOOOOOOOOO!" You cried out. One by one each person fell. Heads were cut off, limbs were broken, blood was spilt and screams of pain and agony splintered the room. Your father dropped you and you saw with tear-filled eyes everyone you cared about die a slow and painful death. Only one received mercy with a beheading.

Scuffling and grunts echoed in the hall behind you. From behind and in front your loved ones were being beaten and killed. "This, my daughter," Your father said, not even looking down to your pitiful state, "Is what happens when pity and mercy are given to anyone, even your own soldiers."

"(y/n)!" Haxus shouted. His voice was with determination and wasn't a cry for help! You turned around and saw Haxus running toward you with a blaster in one hand and a blade in the other.

"No Haxus run!" You cried. Suddenly a familiar grip tightened around your neck and a blade resting on your skin at front.

"I face you Haxus with a choice, will you run like your beloved just said or test my will to kill my daughter?" Your father asked.

"Haxus please run you don't have to see this" You sobbed. Haxus realised that there were screams behind me and ran to the balcony. "No Haxus!" You shouted. Haxus ran regardless and cast his eyes on the crude scene behind you. His friends were being slaughtered and butchered like animals like it was a spectacle to the other students.

"How. Dare. You" Haxus growled. When he turned around you were dead. Your father sliced the blade into your back, its sharpened end sticking out of your chest. You died to the sight of Haxus watching the crowd with his back turned to you. You died in silence and alone to the hands that were meant to raise and love you.

His eyes raged with fury, but his arms and legs were weak at the sight of your dead and bloody on the ground like that. "Haxus my son" (y/n)'s father whispered, walking to the boy like he was, in fact, his son. "I understand that this causes you grief, but let me tell you, (y/n) never loved you. She just sat there to watch you die on the inside watching your comrades because she was the one who suggested this. I know that inside you knew something was off about her. I could see it even though you felt you were lovesick" He said.

Haxus scrunched his face in determination and separated himself from the general's embrace. "You're lying, I know (y/n) better than the very man who was her father and I know that every word you just said was a lie!" Haxus shouted. "I declare you as a liar, murderer and heartless soul that ever existed!" He announced.

"Ah my son, that is what a soldier is, that is who came here to become and that is exactly who (y/n) turned out to be," (y/n)'s father said.

"No that's not true" Haxus denied.

"But it is true. (y/n) is a liar because she feigned her affection for, she is a murderer for ordering the deaths of her own squad and yours and she is a heartless wretch for smiling at both of these accomplishments" (y/n)'s father explained. "And from this moment on, you will follow her example to become the greatest soldier I have ever created" (y/n)'s father marched to Haxus with an evil grin.

If you ever wondered why Haxus was able to stand such a person as Sendak, it's because when he was moved to another squad, Sendak was there. This moulded Haxus into what he is known to be today when he was in such a fragile state. He was broken and rebuilt into a lying, murderous, heartless wretch that eventually died to the hands of the Green Paladin, Pidge.

Unlike (y/n), he died to the relief of many while his beloved died with mourning because another light in the world was extinguished. So when you see another light in this world, don't rub it out because it shines and exposes darkness, keeps it and make it glow brighter to reveal the problems of this world that could one day be fixed.
