Lance x Keith's sister - That one, the awkward one

'Okay then at least he's really kind, caring and really funny. Keith is funny too, but not like Lance'  You dreamily sank into your bed and sighed with bliss.

BANG BANG BANG!

"Ugh!" You groaned, walking over to the door. "Yes?" You smiled.

You saw Keith standing on the other side of the door. "Keith," You said.

"(y/n)" he answered.

"What do you want?" You asked, as nice as possible.

"Look, I know I hate Lance as much as I hate you sometimes," Keith said.

"Wow thanks," You commented.

"But I'll try to get better, with both you and Lance," He said.

"Wait, are you going to... Get along with Lance??" You gapped.

Keith sighed and hung his head. "Yeah." He answered.

"Yes yes yes!" You cheered, jumping up and down.

"Don't get too excited, these things don't happen just overnight," Keith said.

"Aw! You're making me depressed again" You frowned. Keith froze and stared at you. "Not that kind of depressed. I'm never crossing that line again" You smiled. Keith relaxed and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Make sure you don't cross that line!" Keith warned.

"Don't worry about that" You laughed.

The next morning was a bit more joyful than the others. Because this morning you had the hope of Keith not ruining your day. You got dressed in the only clothes that you had and walked over to breakfast.

On your way out you happened to enter the hallway the same time Lance did. It was a cheesy coincidence. You turned over to Lance and gave him a smile before walking off to breakfast. It was an innocent little smile. Your beating heart wasn't going to let your lovesick tongue mess up your morning.

"Morning," Lance smiled.

You almost collapsed under your knees when he smiled and said Morning. "Uh, morning" You managed to say.

"You wanna go get some breakfast?" Lance asked.

What popped into your mind was another question, 'Did he just try to ask me out?' In that split second you drifted wandering if he asked you out or was actually wanting to go get some breakfast because that was what we were doing before we met.

"Uh, sure!" You smiled, wondering what might happen.

Lance smiled and walked alongside you to the dining hall. You were begging for him to make a move, but nothing happened during your walk to breakfast.

"Good morning, tweet-tweet" Pidge grinned, flicking her head towards you two. You smiled and replied with a good morning, ignoring your brother cross his arms and dig his nails into his skin.

Hunk gladly ate his food and choked. He muttered something under his breath while he coughed. Pidge tried to stifle her laughter when Hunk coughed. You guessed that she heard that Hunk muttered and was laughing at that. Obviously, it had something to do with you and Lance because Keith stood up to leave in a stiff manner.

You watched him leave and let out a small sigh.

"You okay?" Lance asked.

"Yeah, I guess" You sighed.

"Do you want to eat?" Lance asked.

"I don't think I can eat, but I'll have something small cause I am pretty hungry" You answered.

"Okay," Lance replied.

The two of you ate with the rest of the gang in silence. The sounds of clanging spoons hitting the bowl and the slurping sounds of goo being chewed and swallowed were the only things that could be heard. No one spoke.

"Well this is awkward" Lance commented. You cracked a smile, still having some things in your mouth. Lance smiled as well, congratulating himself for pulling a joke to make you happy. Ever so slowly did he reach out to touch your hand.

Your skin flushed with thrill and excitement when your fingers touched his. The hairs on your neck stood on end when you interlaced your fingers with his. It wasn't long until your hand was wrapped around Lance's. You squeezed it with affection and smiled.

You tried to hide your obvious flustered emotion by continuing your meal as if nothing was happening, but Lance wasn't keen on keeping this a secret. He leaned in and kissed you on the cheek before whispering, "I like you a lot."

Your heart skipped a full beat, almost making you choke on your food. You raised your hand to your chest refusing to cough. 'Not in front of everyone' You urged yourself. You quickly (and awkwardly) finished what was in your mouth and looked at him. "You know what?" You asked.

"What?" He asked.

"I like you too" You smiled.

Hullo! I appear from the grave yet again. I haven't been updating and I feel like I need to explain myself. Recently, I have been piling up with one-shots, but then one night when I was really tired, I accidentally deleted the file with all the drafts of my one-shots!! The next morning I saw that the file was gone and I couldn't remember all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I am so sorry for not updating! My file was gone and I couldn't rewrite them so I had to start all over again. But Happy New Year guys! I'm going to have a Christmas and Happy New Year one-shot before I make an announcement soon. Happy New Year guys!!! Cheerio!
