First off, we actually saw Quirin again. After having him encased in amber so long, it feels so weird seeing him back in action. We got more of a look into his past which was very satisfying for me. He and the mysterious woman, Adira, did know each other and seemed to fight together or at least we're part of some form of soldiers.

Also, a little more on the moondrop. It appears that it wasn't a flower. It was an Opal type stone. It apparently was very dangerous, and according to the king of the Dark Kingdom, it had actually taken many lives. This does give some idea as to why Quirin wanted to keep Varian as far away from the rocks as possible.
