Boys and girls who adored the girl but never approached her due to her two bodyguards.
And then slowly everything began to change.
The first was meeting Isabella or Bella Swan.
Elizabeth with visiting Billy as usual due to the man seeing her as a daughter when she was informed of the Swan girl's return.
And being the kind person she was she invited herself to meet the girl.
And somehow they hit it off even though they were completely opposite.
Bella was awkward and an introvert while Elizabeth or Liz as many called her was confident and very outgoing.
The two became close which was how Elizabeth ended up at the Forks High School to basically kidnap Bella to go get some ice cream.
She was waiting for the Swan girl when she locked eyes with what she called a Hulk wannabe.
The two stared at each other and it was like no one else existed at that moment before Elizabeth snapped out of it hearing Bella calling her.
Looking back over Elizabeth connected her eyes with a beautiful blonde and the same thing happened.
And then suddenly she heard tires squealing and somehow heading straight toward the two girls.
Elizabeth couldn't remember what happened after that as she felt a panic attack began but the next thing she saw was a pair of golden eyes staring into hers with arms wrapped around her cradling her head.
But what Elizabeth Uley did not realize was that in the arms of Emmett Cullen who was holding her as if she was a piece of glass that her entire life was about to change.
Having to go to the hospital afterward to be checked up on and her older brother never showing up or answering his phone.
Which leads Elizabeth to calling her best friend Paul to pick her up. Only to arrive home to an empty house.
Elizabeth had Paul leave but as the time got later Elizabeth began to think her worst fear was becoming an actuality.
She was all alone.
And the longer he stayed away the harder it got, but Elizabeth was an expert at acting okay. Pretending everything was fine when it wasn't.
This is how she ended up going with Bella and her two friends to Seattle for prom dresses and then walking down the streets after going to a bookstore. Elizabeth might have spent a little too much time searching for books.
And let's just say what happens next Elizabeth will never trust Bella's sense of direction again.
Bella's terrible sense of direction though is how she ended up being held by Rosalie Hale and Emmett at their house halfway asleep.
Before waking up and finding out the truth. The truth that all the legends she thought were stories were actually the truth.
And instead of just sitting there Elizabeth jumped and started heading out of the house running through the woods and yelling her brother's name.
Which is when a black wolf approached her and laid at her feet making Elizabeth sob before wrapping her arms around his neck.
And not even fifteen seconds later her brother wrapped his arms around her the two sobbing.
But that's just the beginning of Elizabeth Uley's story.
For being the true mate to not one but two vampires while being the younger sister of the alpha of shapeshifters is just asking for a conflicting love.
