Spencer's POV:
"Okay, students, tonight is the second last night here on our school trip to Italy, so we'll let you guys stay up a little after curfew." The school principal, who is on this trip, says.
Everyone begins to cheer, except I roll my eyes. I could care less about partying and getting drunk with these morons.
I only came to Italy because my friends insisted.
"The rule is still that opposite genders cannot be in the same room under any circumstances." The other teacher speaks up, but everyone ignores her remark.
"You all can hangout here in the hotel lobby area. There's going to be a room opening up shortly to put everyone in so they can continue to mingle and socialize. We'll be back in 10 minutes." My principal says, before going upstairs with the other teachers.
Some kids begin to pull alcohol out of their bags already, and chug it from the bottle, causing everyone to cheer.
The hotel employees got pretty annoyed with us, so they opened up the room early so they couldn't hear us.
It was a basic teenager hangout area. There were couches, speakers for music and even complimentary snacks and drinks.
Everyone ran to the couches and bean bag chairs, while I sat on the floor in the back.
"Spencer, come on and mingle! You should totally find someone to hook up with!" Hanna exclaims, sitting next to me.
"I don't know, Han. I don't really like anyone here that much.." I say, biting my lip.
That was sort of a lie. I have this huge crush on Toby Cavanaugh, but he'd never like me back. He's extremely popular and is currently talking to 5 or more girls.
Surprisingly he's sober.
"Fine, well I'll get the other girls over here. Be right back!" She exclaims and runs off before I could argue.
A few minutes later Hanna returns, but this time with Aria, Emily and Alison.
"If you're gonna sit here, we'll sit with you." Emily smiles, making me roll my eyes. "Stop, go have fun. You know I just don't socialize much. That's all. Please, have fun." I beg.
"Okay, fine. We'll let you be all alone on our second last night in Italy. The city of love." Hanna giggles and I roll my eyes. "That's France, Han." I say and she shoots me a glare before walking away once again.
I pull out my phone, scroll through social medias when someone kneels down in front of me.
"Hi, I couldn't help but notice you're sitting here alone?" A male voice speaks up. When I look up, I'm face to face with Toby.
"Um, I'm just not in the party mood, that's all." I tell him, putting my phone away. "Well, can I sit here with you?" He asks, and I give him a strange look.
"Wouldn't you much rather be over there with all the hot, almost drunk girls?" I ask, and he shakes his head. "No, actually. I want to spend my second last night getting to know someone that I've admired for a long time." He smiles.
"Okay, this must be a joke. If you're just saying this on a bet or something, ha, ha, you got me. Now go." I say which makes him chuckle.
"What? I'm not aloud to have a crush on you?" He asks, making me blush. "Come on, tell me something about you, Spencer." He says with a smile, looking genuinely interested in me.
"Well, I'm a straight A student, no one ever pays any attention to me, and I'm not a party girl." I shrug and he chuckles. "That's a start. Can I tell you about me?" He asks, moving in closer so our legs touch.
I nod my head, noticing how close he's sat to me. "Well, I enjoy talking to pretty girls, especially named Spencer Hastings, and I love making her blush. Oh, I also love French." He says with a smile, making me blush.
"Wait," I giggle, trying to hide the fact I'm blushing. "You love French?" I ask, a little in shock. "I'm going to try and pretend I'm not offended," He smirks. "But yes. It's my favourite language." He says, which makes me giggle.
"You only know one language, Toby." I laugh. "Not true. I know English, don't I?" He smirks and I playfully shove his arm. "Smart ass." I smirk.
"Well, I was thinking about going to my hotel room, if you'd like to join me." He says with a smile. "Toby, the rules. We can't hangout alone." I tell him.
"The teachers are down here. They won't even know we're gone or in the same hotel room. I'll say I'm headed to bed, then in 5 minutes you say the same. I'll wait for you by the elevators." He says in a hushed tone, and then stands up.
He looks at me with a smile as he exits the room, and I sit there, staring at my phone for 5 minutes.
After a long 5 minutes, I stand up and excuse myself to my room. I begin to walk faster to the elevator, excited to hangout with Toby one on one.
I feel someone grab my hand, and when I turn I'm face to face with Toby. "Hi." I smile, continuing to hold his hand.
"Hey." He smiles, pressing the up button on the elevator.
Once the elevator doors open, we get in and he presses floor number 8.
He steps back, and I slowly begin to press all the buttons along the way up, just to annoy him.
When he realizes what I'm doing, he places his hands on my waist, pulling me back from the buttons. I managed to press numbers 2 through 5, besides the number 8 that had already been pushed.
We realize the position we're in, so Toby leans in slowly and connects our lips.
I lean back, biting my bottom lip shyly, and look down at my feet. "Wait until we get to your room." I whisper, making him smile.
When we finally reach floor 8, after the many stops due to me hitting the elevator buttons, we make our way to Toby's hotel room.
"Wait, do you have a room mate?" I ask him, and he shakes his head. "I was lucky and got a room to myself." He smiles, unlocking the door.
We walk inside, and I immediately kiss him. I caught him by surprise, but in no time he kisses me back.
In a short amount of time our clothes were removed, and we were in the hotel bedsheets.
~~after~~
"I really should get back to my room before the teachers guard the halls." I tell him, and he groans. "No, please." He whispers, kissing my cheek which makes me giggle.
"We can't sleep in the same hotel room. It's against their rules." I tell him, as he climbs on top of me and kisses down my neck. "Well, so was this, but we did it anyway." He smirks.
"Fair argument." I smile, pulling him down on top of me.
We continue to kiss when there was a knock on the hotel room door.
"Toby? We need to talk!" One of the teachers says. "Uh, one second! I'm just changing into my pyjamas!" He exclaims.
He quickly gets out of bed, pulling on some boxers, pyjama pants, and shirt while I lay completely bare in the sheets.
I take one of the bedsheets, wrap it around my body and lay on the floor behind the bed so the teacher can't see me.
"Hi, Toby. Just wanted to make sure you were here for curfew." The teacher smiles, checking her watch. "Yes I am." He smiles, and I breathe quietly, trying to be silent.
"And I assume you're alone, correct? Because it's past curfew." She says. "Yes, there's no one but me." He lies, and she actually buys it.
"Okay, well see you in the morning!" She exclaims. "But reminder, we have security in the hall now so no one can leave or enter other rooms until 7." She reminds him and he nods.
They share a few more words, before I hear the door shut and lock.
"Coast is clear!" Toby exclaims in a hushed tone, and I stand up, the sheets still wrapped around me.
"Guess I have to stay the night." I giggle. "Guess so." He shrugs with a smirk, and throws a shirt my way. "What's this?" I ask, holding up what seems to be his shirt.
"My shirt." He smirks and I roll my eyes. "Smart ass." I reply. "Sleep in it. It's more comfortable than jeans." He tells me and I smile, thanking him.
I pull the shirt over my head and then my phone rings.
"Spencer? Where are you?" Aria asks, worried.
"Oh, and you're welcome for covering for you and saying you were with us!" Emily exclaims and I roll my eyes.
"I'm with a boy. Han told me to have some fun." I say and I hear gasps.
"Who?" Alison asks.
"Toby Cavanaugh." I say in a quiet tone and they all squeal.
Toby must of heard, because I hear him laugh quietly. I turn to look at him and he's smirking, so I blush.
"Anyway, I'll let you know what happened tomorrow. I'm going to bed. Night." I say, and then hang up.
"Sorry you had to hear that." I giggle, laying underneath the blankets in the bed.
"Don't worry about it, I don't know what my friends will say when I tell them I slept with someone as hot as you." He smirks, making me blush again.
