You only had one picture left. The only picture of the spot you and Luke went to when you were upset or hurt or just wanted to calm down in general.
That was before your car crash which left you in a coma for 3 months and when you finally came out of it you found out that your best friend Luke had pissed off to go touring instead of staying by your bedside. To say it hurt was an understatement.
When he came back off the tour and found out you were out of your coma he came racing to your house only for you to slam and lock the door in his face.
You just couldn't bear to look at him. When you needed him the most he had left you on your own.
He was supposed to be your anchor the thing that kept you sane and above all else he was supposed to be your best friend.
He tried for days and eventually weeks which lead to months of trying to get you to talk to him or accept his calls coming round to your house once everyday just to see if you would even walk to the door to acknowledge his presence and you never did.
In the end he gave up and went back on tour writing songs about life events. You still bought the album to show support and one song caught you attention. One particular line/verse had your heart racing.

After that one verse you pulled out your photo album and began to reminisce about everything you and Luke had done together. The places you'd been to .. The things you used to do ... The lengths he used to go to just to see a smile on your face.
You couldn't stay made at him any longer after realising this song was for you. You picked up your phone and dialed his number.
"HELLO this is Luke speaking"
"Hi Luke"
"OMG y/n is that really you? ... shit I've missed you so much baby girl .... I'm sorry I hurt you so bad I never meant to leave you ... I only went on tour to fun your hospital expenses .... I didn't expect you to wake up while I wasn't there ... fuck I messed up big time I know it but I couldn't leave you I can't leave you not when ..."
He trailed off after his rant.
"Im sorry that i over reacted that wasnt fair of me i should have listened to what you had to day rather than shut you out ....Not when you what Luke?"
"Not when I care too much for you"
"I care for you too luke I'm sorry I pushed you away"
"GOD DAMMIT Y/N YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND I CAN'T AND WON'T CARE FOR YOU AS A FRIEND ANYMORE"
He was yelling at you down the phone and it brought tears to your eyes. You shut him out and now he was pushing you out of his life for good.
"I'm so sorry luke please don't say you don't want to be friends I can't not be friends Wi..."
"FOR GOD SAKE SHUT UP WOMEN AND LET ME FINISH ... I CAN'T CARE FOR YOU AS A FRIEND ANYMORE BECAUSE IT'S PAST THAT STAGE .... I FUCKING LIKE YOU Y/N ... HELL I MAY EVEN LOVE YOU"
"You ... you like slash love me?"
"YES! How has it taken you this long to realise? ... why do you think I kept coming round to your house even though I knew the response would be the same? ... why do you think I wrote the song for you? ... why do you think I went on tour to raise money for you? ... I did it all because I Lucas Robert Hemmings am in love with you y/f/n"
You smiled down the phone and giggled. The news just made you extatic.

Maybe just maybe the break was what you needed to realise that Luke was perfect for you.
