Today is going to be the fifth day of her work study with Bakugou, Midoriya and Todoroki and she wants something to change. Yesterday, she couldn't find a way for her new technique to make an appearance again and it frustrated her.

Also... Bakugou's different at the agency. Sure, he's determined and headstrong, occasionally badmouthing the number one hero and his sidekicks like he's more superior than they are. He isn't. Still, their conversation in the dinner hall has her skin flushing and her heart hammering in her chest. His eyes, so soft and rare, burn into her memory, something she'll cherish forever. His words are a promise, a constant reminder of their bond, their trust that now seems to overwhelm them.

For now, Kira needs to put aside some urgencies to focus on her own improvements. She still needs to talk to Midoriya, but she can never seem to find the right time, the right opportunity. His secret concerning One For All shouldn't bother her, but it does. She needs it to be off her chest, if only to make herself feel better. On another matter, her father is still missing. He hasn't come to see her before her work studies started, but now he won't be able to get close to her now that she's staying at the agency. There's been nothing and her gut churns at the thoughts that continue to cause her rationality to spiral.

As Kira readies herself for another dishevelling day of training, she tries to block out the memories of a dear friend. Kaori's demise continues to haunt her, like she can see her face in the corner of her eye, but whenever she turns her head, she's never there.

Kira spoke to Bakugou about her working theory last night after dinner, standing close to each other in the hall just outside her room. He responded to her idea by calling her 'paranoid' and an 'idiot', despite the evidence she had.

Maybe he's right.

With all these added issues, it can be enough to cause her mind to make things up, for her to imagine things so she can come to some sort of conclusion, just so it can make things easier. The letters burnt into the victims bodies can spell something else out entirely, or maybe they're not even letters. Kaori's death can be mere coincidence. Is Kira being selfish to want all of this to be related to her?

The January sun struggles to provide Kira with a welcoming morning dawn, as she scoops the blinds away from the window. She's tired, her eyelids dropping, her legs trembling as she struggles to keep her energy levels constant. She's eating well, sleeping well, despite recent chilling discoveries, but Endeavour's lessons are starting to take their toll, no matter how determined she feels. She's making progress, but it still isn't enough.

Kira bathes quickly, already having a later start to the day than she meant and changes into her hero gear. Today, she'll figure out how to master this new traversal style and she'll beat Endeavour. She'll beat her classmates too, that'll really tick Bakugou off. Kira rushes out of the room, while making final adjustments, arriving at the main work room alongside her classmates. But, something's different today. Endeavour is pacing the room, fire blasting from his body. He doesn't look happy.

"What's going on?" Kira whispers.

Burnin' is within earshot of her wonders. "Apparently someone tagged his house last night."

"His house?" Kira gawks at the sidekick before facing Todoroki with a questioning look.

"It's true." He sighs. "I didn't think it affected him this badly. Has he been like this all morning?"

"Yep!" Burnin' cackles. "The culprit is pretty evasive, you see. He's making it difficult for us."

"For... the number one hero?" Kira says hesitantly.
