"Oh shit! Oh shit!"

Kyoka's voice repeated its distress, sounding further and further away with each passing second. However, Kira felt her warm, tender touch on her skin, urging her to the land of the living. The ruckus had ceased, as the other three members of the group had managed to fend off the bear to the point where they either killed it or it took off to lick its wounds. Kira was too dizzy to tell. All she needed was for her Quirk to work before she succumbed to her injury. She wasn't even sure how bad it was, or if the shock itself had gotten to her.

"We need to get her back to the others!" Kyoka cries out, her voice still far away, drifting among the clouds somewhere. Or was she the one doing that?

"No," Bakugou's voice - she'd know that gruff tone anywhere. "Don't move her."

Kira can't see. She wants to see, but she can't. Why can't she just open her eyes?

"What!?" Kyoka booms, moving Kira's head off her lap to confront Bakugou. "We need to at least get her to Momo. Maybe she can create a medkit for her. Something!"

"She looks so pale," Kirishima comments, his voice monotone and hoarse.

Pale? If Kira knows anything, then she knows that that's bad news. She must have lost a lot of blood. She strains, pushes herself to open her eyes, to seek out the strength to get her Quirk started on fixing her mangled body. She's not dying to some stupid bear.

"What is she doing?" Kaminari voices and Kira feels her classmates fidget around her.

"Shut up," Bakugou says to his classmates briskly.

Through the exertion, Kira's eyes open a fraction, just enough for her to watch the sun vanish again, waving its goodbyes, before it snatches away any warmth it may have offered. That thick fog that swamped the lake had followed the group up the trail, as it washed over Kira lying on the cold, dewy grass. It dampens her hair, her clothes and she winces, feeling something happening inside of her.

"Bakugou!" Kyoka urges, standing over Kira's limp body.

She's completely unaware of Kira's healing Quirk, so her yelling for some kind of movement isn't helping anyone in this situation. Kira fights to stop her vision from blacking out again, barely noticing Bakugou knelt next to her pained body, blood all over his clothes. Whether it was from her or the bear, she isn't sure - probably the latter.

The rain starts up again, plummeting from the sky and onto Kira's cheeks. She feels like crying, like wailing to the sky above, allowing her salty tears to mix with the rainwater, her only chance to disguise her anguish from her classmates. But, she holds back the tears, her head tilting back to the peaceful waterfall, still washing away all the chaos, as if nothing had happened, as if some stupid bear hadn't just come along and ruined everything.

"Just a stupid bear..." Kira mumbles out, lost in her thoughts.

Bakugou leans in closer, finding it hard to hear her over the sound of the sudden rain and waterfall.

"This is all my fault," Kirishima say suddenly, his guilt washing through Kira like the rain. "If I hadn't left the path and-"

"Shitty hair," Bakugou cuts him off, keeping his eyes on Kira. "I don't want to hear it." Bakugou then leans back up, still knelt by Kira's body, but looks up to the still fuming and thoroughly confused Kyoka. "Hey, are you able to use your Quirk to alert the others?"

"Th- that's your concern right now!?" She seethes. "Akira's whole side is completely-"

"I have eyes," Bakugou cuts her off coldly. "I can see how bad it is. But, we didn't kill that bear, or whatever the hell it was, because that was not a normal bear. If it's still in this forest somewhere, then the other groups could encounter it, and could end up worse off."
