Two Heroes (Part Three)

As they left the hotel, a chill brushed Kira's hair off her shoulders and she suddenly envied Kyoka for her jacket.

"So, which way to the expo?" Kirishima rubs the back of his head.

"Oh, I don't know," Bakugou replies sarcastically. "Perhaps the huge building in the middle of the island."

Kira stared cautiously at her classmate - he only ever resorted to sarcasm when he was really irritated. If he didn't want to come to the expo, then what is he really doing here?

"Oh, yeah!" Kirishima laughs to himself, shaking his head. "Duh!"

Bakugou makes some unintelligible noises before pushing past the redhead towards the tower, his hands shoved into his pockets.

It didn't take them long to get to the tower, but by then, Kira's feet were starting to ache.

"Damn stupid shoes," she mutters to herself, as the large automatic doors open for the three of them.

"Which way now?" Kirishima wonders.

"Iida said to meet up at lobby seven," Kira says.

"Come on, shitty hair." Bakugou grits his teeth in annoyance.

"Okay, okay! Let's try this way."

Kira looks back the other way sceptically, before deciding to follow her classmates. The last thing she wanted to do was split up with her friends even more.

"Stairs or straight ahead?" Kirishima points between the two.

"If we go straight, then we'll just end up going in a circle, you idiot," Bakugou grumbles.

"Besides, if it's a party, won't it be on an upper floor?" Kira adds. "Perhaps the top?"

"What? So, we just keep going up?" Kirishima asks.

She shrugs. "It's worth a shot."

"Don't either of you idiots have your phones?" Bakugou says.

Kira pats her hips suddenly. "Dammit!" She curses. "My phone is in my purse, which I left on Momo's bed. Of course."

"Aw no! I left mine in my room too."

"You morons," Bakugou says dryly.

"Where the hell is your phone?" Kira frowns at the boy.

"I didn't bring it with me to the island."

Kira pauses, her frown increasing. "And why is that?"

"Because I knew that I would have this dumbass following me around everywhere so I wouldn't even need it, okay?" He snaps.

Despite his attitude, Kira spots Kirishima smiling behind him, as if he's grateful that Bakugou is in some way relying on him.

"We better get there quick, then," Kirishima says, his voice soft.

They race up the stairs hurriedly, checking each door as they go, when suddenly one of them closes in Kira's face with a terrifyingly loud thud that makes her ears ring.

"Guess we're not going that way then," she murmurs.

"Maybe it's off-limits. Authorised personnel," Kirishima suggests.

"Maybe." Kira stares at the door one last time, before following her classmates up another flight of stairs.

Something isn't right - there's no denying the nagging feeling in her gut.

Each door is the same, locked down tightly. What was going on? They eventually came across an open room - no locked door in sight.

"Kirishima, Bakugou," Kira whispers. "I have a bad feeling."
