I opened my eyes again and I saw that nurse was standing in front of my bed.
Nurse: Good morning, Mr. Danford - She smiled - How do you feel today?
Jake: Today? - I looked at her questioningly - You've already asked me that.
Nurse: You both fell asleep yesterday morning and slept all day and all night - She laughed - I asked about it yesterday.

Nurse: I see - She laughed and handed me my phone and my headphones - Here.
Jake: Thank you - I smiled and took my phone.
I was able to using my phone as long as my arm was lying on the bed. I hardly put on my headphones and unlocked my phone. I narrowed my eyes, because I saw a lot of notifications and one is from... Jasmine? When I read her message I immediately called her, but she didn't answer the phone. Then, I saw that Luka called me 5 times. Okay, something must have happened, that's for sure. I dialled Luka's number and I heard his voice immediately.
Luka: Hello, Jake - He sighed - How do you feel?
Jake: What happened? - I said firmly.
Luka: Nothing - He hissed angrily.
Jake: Where's Jasmine? I tried calling her, but she...
Luka: Didn't answer, yes I know - He sighed - She won't pick up the phone from you, Jake. Neither from Elena. She hasn't spoken to me since yesterday. All the time she's just texting someone.
Jake: Why? What happened? - I started getting nervous.
Luka: Listen Jake... Could you answer me a question?
Jake: What king of question is that? - I was annoyed - Of course.
Luka: Why did you call Hannah right after our departure?

Jake: And what did Elena do? - I hissed angrily.
Luka: Did she tell you that she remembers how Duskwood looked like when she was a kid?

Luka: That's the problem Jake. The problem is that she didn't knew and you want to pay her in advance without seeing her exams results...
Jake: Why?
Luka: Do you really want me to say that or are you just pretending to be an idiot?
Jake: I really don't have the strength to argue with you... - I sighed - Just tell me.
Luka: She doesn't believe that Hannah is sick.

And he immediately hung up. I was so confused that I was looking at my phone for the next few minutes. Elena's voice woke me up from the amok.

Jake: Good morning, sleepyhead - I looked at her and smiled.

Jake: Since I can hear your beautiful voice? Amazing - I winked at her.
Elena: Philanderer... - She hardly laughed.
Jake: How about you? Anything better?
Elena: I wish - she sighed.
Nurse: Good morning, Elena - She entered the room and smiled at her - How do you feel?
Elena: Terrible - She said with her weak voice.
Then, nurse started to examine her heartbeat and fever. While nurse was taking care of Elena I was looking at her and thinking about everything what Luka told me. Why is Jasmine so weird? She has never been so rude and stubborn. She was always the one who unifies people instead of dividing them. And now? I think she's even more stubborn than Elena.
I started thinking about Hannah too. Yes, she she wanted to befriend Elena, indeed, but I'm not surprised. Who doesn't want to be friends with her? But Elena was always so distanced from her from the very beginning. I have to admit I was a bit shocked too when Hannah asked Elena to be her witness at her wedding. I thought Cleo was her best friend. But... Is it possible that Hannah is trying to trick me? Would she be that bad person? What would her money be for?
Moreover, Elena's memories... Why didn't she tell me about this? And why did she tell Hannah about it? It's just too much. I would like, so much, to talk to her about all of this. I would like to ask her for advice and tips. Elena always knows what to do and how to make everything go well. But her condition... No, it'll have to wait. Definitely. I do care about Jasmine, of course, but I do love Elena. Elena means much more to me and her health is my priority right now.
Now, nurse is changing her bandages and I heard notification on my phone.
Then, I heard Elena's scream again. I jumped and my phone almost fell out of my hand. I immediately looked at her and I saw that nurse was giving her injection again. It's so... unfair...
Nurse: I'm so sorry, Elena - She sighed and she tossed the syringe into the trash - It's been a long time since I saw such a contaminated wound.
Elena: It's okay - She swallowed and said with her weak voice.
Nurse: After all, your fever is slowly dropping - She noted in her files - It's a good sign.
Elena: I know - She hardly smiled at her and looked at me - Where's my brave patient sticker?
Jake: In preparation - I laughed and sighed - I'm so sorry, Elena. You shouldn't be suffering like this.
Elena: I'm a big girl - She was still smiling at me - I miss you.
Jake: I miss you too, Elena - I took a deep breath.
Nurse: You know what? - She looked at me - I've got an idea.
The nurse smiled at me with some evil smirk. I narrowed my eyes at her and then, she closed Elena's files and unlocked her bed's wheels. All the time I was just observing her. Then, she moved Elena's bed and brought it next to mine's. Our beds were touching and it almost looked like we were on the same bed. You have no idea how happy I was. I immediately grabbed Elena's hand and smiled at her.
Jake: Thank you - I looked at nurse with tears in my eyes.
Nurse: No problem - She winked at me.
Doctor: Well, well, well - He entered the room and laughed when he saw us - I knew it would end this way. How do you feel? - He opened our files.
Jake: Now? - I looked deeply in Elena's eyes and I was stroking her hand - Perfect.
Elena: Yes - She smiled slightly and calmly - Me too.
Doctor: I noticed that you had a problem with a blood test during your previous hospital stay, right? - He looked at Elena.
Elena: Yes. The doctor told me that there was some problem with that.
Doctor: I have repeated all the tests and now I know why they had a problem with your blood tests. You were also anemic then. But now I can see that everything is fine. I think you took the previous doctor's advice to heart - He laughed - Your overall health has improved. Probably by changing the diet and supplementation of vitamins. I'm sure you'll get out of this soon. Did you start her treatment due to hematoma? - He looked at nurse.

Jake: Thank you - I smiled at him - This is really good news.
Doctor: See you soon - He smiled and opened the door. Then, he and nurse left the room.
I looked at Elena and immediately started smiling.
Jake: Well... - I unlocked my phone again - In this situation, I can make an exception... - And I opened Netflix.
Elena: Really? - She sounded excited.
Jake: I still think it's a bad trash series, but if only it makes you happy, I can turn a blind eye to it - I laughed and turned on her favourite show - So, shall we start?
Elena nodded and smiled at me. I saw how happy she was. She tried to persuade me to watch this series from the beginning of our journey. I don't think I will like it, but as long as she won't be thinking about Maria's case or Williams, I can bear watching this.
I played the series and we started watching it.

Jake: He can't be serious right now! - He shouted furiously - How could he? It was the biggest mistake he had even made.
Elena: Jake...
Jake: No! No! - He grabbed his face - I've never seen such a stupid person! And she? - He laughed with his anger - I would never forgive her.
Elena: Jake...
Jake: They have known each other for so many years... How could she do that to him? I'll never forgive her!
Elena: Enough - I signed and grabbed his phone.
Jake: Hey! - He looked at me with his furious gaze - I didn't finish.
Elena: Shall I remind you that you called this show "bad trash series"? - I looked at him and laughed - We've been watching it all the time since yesterday. You really need a break.
Jake: I need to know if she tells him that she cheated on him! Oh, come on... - He made his puppy dog's eyes.

Yes, finally I feel much better. Of course I'm not able to move my leg, but now I'm able to sit for example. Jake feels much better too. Of course, if I accidentally touch his arm or leg, he hisses in pain, but his chest doesn't hurt anymore. He still has trouble moving his leg or arm, but other movements don't hurt him as much. I just realised how much we needed some rest, really. I've never seen Jake so rested. Finally, he doesn't have to think about Maria, DIC, Hannah and other issues.
Jake: Pretty nice break - He looked in my eyes when I stopped kissing him. I saw his calm and warm eyes. Every time my heart just starting beating like crazy when he's looking at me. Then, I saw this evil gleam... - But, now I need to know - He looked at me with his evil smirk, pushed me away and took his phone again - Perfect - and he played the show.
Elena: What and asshole! - I laughed and crossed my arms on my chest.
Jake: It was your idea to watch this show - He winked at me - I just grant your wish.
Elena: You are more fascinated by this series than I am! If I had known that this show would win all your attention, I would never have shown it to you.
Can you believe that Jake was just ignoring me? I was just powerless. I started laughing and nodding. Despite everything, I'm very happy that he has found some entertainment for himself. Thanks to this, he doesn't think about all the problems that surround him. I knew it would be pointless to talk to Jake so I took my phone and opened a chat with Jasmine and I saw she's online. I missed her so much...
I was waiting for her answer, but she didn't even read my messages. That's strange. She always answers me immediately. After a few minutes she just went offline. I started stressing, but then I thought that maybe she has no time right now.
Then, I opened my Instagram and I saw these messages from all over the world. Everyone was very worried about Jake and me. I saw a lot of posts, messages, emails, missed calls... Also saw I Jake's post and I felt tears in my eyes when I read it. He was so incredibly worried about me, I can read it between his lines. I burst out laughing and Jake was still offended. Then, the door opened and I saw... A bodyguard? I immediately looked at Jake with my widen eyes.
Bodyguard: Mrs. Danford, Miss McClain? - He looked at us - Mr. Eric Williams to you.
Jake: What? - He looked confused- Of course, let him in, please - He sighed and turned off the phone.
Bodyguard left our room and I looked at Jake again.
Elena: What the fuck is going on Jake? What are the security guards doing here? What is Eric doing here?

He's a slim and well built man. To be honest? He's totally in my type. If I wasn't with Jake, I would definitely be interested in Eric.

Then, we coughed and let go of our hands. I looked at Jake and saw how furious he was.
Eric: I'm sorry - He took a chair and sat down in front of our beds. Since then, Eric has tried to avoid my eyesight. All the time he was looking at Jake - We really need to talk.
Jake: What happened? - He narrowed his eyes at him.
Eric: But first, you have to tell me everything what happened.
Jake: Eric... - He sighed - Elena is the only person who can tell you everything. Elena - He looked at me - Unfortunately, you'll have to make a very difficult decision...
Elena: I'll tell him everything - I sighed - I know. He must be punished. After all these years...

Elena: What?! - I shouted - Jake?

Eric: Due to the fact that he's taking care of King and his home arrest I was asked to fly here and help you. Elena, I'll be your lawyer in the lawsuit against Liam Williams - He sighed but still didn't look at me.
I was looking at him with my widen eyes. No, he can't be serious right now. Firstly, I found out that Liam wasn't caught and now? Am I supposed to sue him? A lot of thought started running in my head.
Jake: Elena, you need to calm down - He grabbed my hand and was looking at my monitor. I looked at it too and I saw that my heart started beating faster - Just take a deep breath, okay?
His deep and warm voice calmed me down a bit. I nodded at him and started taking my deep breaths. After a few moments, my heartbeat returned to normal.
Jake: Good girl - He smiled and touched my cheek - We'll find him, Elena. I promise. He's gonna pay a heavy price for what he did to you. All I can do is find him, but after that you will be needing Eric. He'll help you.
Elena: But do you know that this information will come out to the media? - I sighed.

Jake looked questioningly at him, but then he took the files. It was signed as "Sarah's files". He hesitated for a moment, so I grabbed this files and opened it. When I saw this... I gasped.

She looked like a maniac. I neutralized her, took the glass from her hand, and held her until she calmed down. Then, she just fell asleep, because of the exhaustion and I put her on the bed. Jake: Of course not - He hissed - I never expected it.
Elena: She wanted to use you from the very beginning - I looked at the window - She must have chosen you very carefully from among many, rich people.
