Now ten days since Koyuki is in a coma. Izuku continued his slow track to the hospital with his sad, gloomy, demeanor. Everyday was harder for him, every time he walked the same path to the hospital, he's reminded of Daisy's words. It pained him to know Koyuki was under such anxiety and felt responsible for what ever may happen to them.
Though his mother finally consented his stay in living in dorms, and just as Daisy said; he was willing to study in any other school to pursue his dreams. It was All Might who finally convinced her, on his very knees and promising the woman that he'll train the young teen well, even at the cost of his life. Something that he and his mother never wanted to hear, especially when they thought of Koyuki immediately. His mother, being the wise woman she is, pleaded he did no such thing and raised Izuku well.
Before all the students were supposed to move in today, but something came up and the date was held back. Something about a legal battle with the Japanese government over a student. Something like that, allegedly that's what they informed him through the phone. Giving him time to visit Koyuki, before he moves in the dorms. It pained him that his visits will lessen and have to focus on what the teachers have planned for them.
Clenching his hands to the point they turned white, this'll be the first time he'll be away from Koyuki during school hours. They've always gone together, it's something he may have to adjust too. Entering the automatic doors, heading towards the desk of registration; seeing the two female nurses, whispering and gossiping amongst themselves. One of them finally noticed him and stood up from her chair, "Midoriya-san! Midoriya-san!!" Called out one of the nurses. Smiling once she caught his stare of confusion at seeing their broad smile.
"Midoriya-san! Wonderful news! Dragoon-san has awaken from her coma!" Smiling excitedly towards the dreary teen. The woman's words slowly processed his mind. Tired jade green eye's widdening ever so slowly. His once dull emeralds shone with life now, surprising them at the transition. Mouth moving and utter a name silently in emotional shock, "...Koyuki..."
His body bolted to the elevators at first till he made a sharp turn to the stairway. Slamming the door open and rushing up the steps. Breathing erratically, but skipped a step, as he rushed up. Heart throbbibg erratically, mind wild with many thoughts he couldn't comprehend them. But all he knew was that she was awake! Koyuki was finally awake!!
'KOYUKI!!' His mind screamed out.
Slamming the doors open, frightening the unsuspecting doctos and nurses. Sprinting down the halls, many of the nurses jumping to the wall to dodge his speeding form. One of the doctors hollering him to slow down and not run in the hospital; only to be ignored. He couldn't comprehend the faces of the doctors nor nurses, just the once dreaded door down the hall was now new found hope. Coming closer and closer from his reach.
Not caring for decency, Izuku threw the door wide open with a slam. His heart skipping a beat when the girl, now sitting up and staring out the window. Covered less bandages, but held few purple bruises around her face. Such as her once heavily swollen left eye has gone down, her bruised cheeks and chin healing nicely, the once nasty burned cut on her jawline now left a scar. Head snapping to his direction in surprise, his eyes met bright azure orbs he missed seeing so much; especially the ever growing smile he badly missed seeing on her lips than the listless one.
"Izuku!" The mage smiled broadly, revealing her canines; the mask finally removed from her face. It made her seem more lively... Alive, without the mask.
Seeing Koyuki wide awake brought flurry of emotions to the Midoriya. Not realizing the tears welling rapidly and uncontrollably; not able to stop them, Izuku allowed them to fall from their dams and spill in waves. Breathing out the mage's name in utter relief and happiness, "Koyuki..."
He actually thought this was all a dream, another dream to break him even further than already than the past ones. But it wasn't a dream: the moment her eye's creased when her smile broaden. Heart thundering at seeing her react, just her smile alone brought him the greatest relief.
Running footstep were also heard, along with excited shouts of "KOYUKI!!!" Toru, Ochako, and Ejirou were the one's who ran whlie shouting. Almost ramming the doors off their hinges, while colliding each other. Seeing the girl up, they piled in with emotional tears. They, too, want to visit the mage before they begin living in the dorms; but rushed up once they saw Midoriya suddenly running towards the stairs with such speed.
"Do not run in the hospital!" Followed Tenya, right arm curved up. Glasses glinting glaringly at the three. But stopped frozen in shock at seeing the mage, "Dragoon-san..."
"Hi..." Was her meek reply of greeting, smiling softly towards the four.
Suddenly, Izuku's smile slowly disappeared. Head casted down and slowly paced before the mage stiffly. Koyuki, watched this in worried confusion at the drastic change, "Izuku?" Seeing the greenette grew awfully quiet. Hair shadowing his eyes, not knowing what was his reaction. Stiffening when his head snapped up, revealing his fury within his emerald orbs. Slamming his forehead against Koyuki's roughly, everyone gave their own forms of shock at such strange and suddden action of headbutting.
"De-Deku-kun?!"
"Mi-Mi-Midoriya-kun/san?!"
"You idiot!! I was worried sick!!" Koyuki flinched, not at the harsh headbutt, but at Izuku's angered tone. Grasping her gown tightly and glaring heatedly into her eye's, "Don't you dare do that again to me!! You hear me, Dragoon!! I won't forgive you!!" Tightening his hold on her hospital gown. Seeing his hard glare slowly soften to trembling with emotion and tears anew. His form quivered and then as his body racked with sobs of relief, "I won't forgive you...*hic*...I wont, I won't..." Shaking his head at each "I won't," hot tears running down his cheeks. Face slowly pressed into her shoulderblade, quivering.
Koyuki only smiled fondly, wrapping her arms around his shivering figure. Cradling him as he trembled with emotions of relief. Nuzzling her cheek into his curls, "It's okay now. I'm here, Izuku. It's okay to cry..." He did just that, he sobbed loudly into her shoulder's. Hugging her tightly and close, as if fearing she would disappear or go to a faraway place he couldn't reach. Which he clutched her gown tightly at the thought.
Ochako and Toru finally broke, dashing to Koyuki's side as well and sobbed. Clutching behind or her side, both tearing along with Izuku.
Eijirou shielded his eyes with his forearm, crying as well. Body trembling in great relief that his best friend pulled through.
Tenya removed his lenses and held his nostril. Body shivering and shaking with emotion of relief as well. Eyes tightly shut as he too cried along with the rest.
Shoto was about to check in with the nurses with flowers in hand, until they revealed the Dragoon has finally awaken. Dropping the banquet of flowers in utter shock. Grey and turquoise eye's widening, he dashed to the stairways without another question.
Katsuki, who had just arrived to see Shoto dash to the stairs. Knowing already what that meant, he booked it after the teen.
Ignoring the scolding shouts of nurses and doctors, they almost slammed against one and another to the door frame. The moment both arrived, seeing Izuku sobbing in Koyuki's arms. At first, utter relief and emotion filled their bodies. But then anger filled the ash-blonde's being.
Katsuki, marching his way to the mage and smacking behind her head harshly. Recieving a surprised yelp then an angry shout from the girl; but stopped, stunned at the angry tears in Katsuki's red orbs. Yanking her to his broad chest, ignoring Izuku's, Toru's, and Ochako's surprised peep, hearing him repeat "fuckin idiot!" and "you're a fuckin dumbass, Frozo!" As hot tears fell in waves from his snarling, yet relieved, face.
Shoto tracked his way through, hot tears spilling as well. Not without a second thought, he too wrapped his arm around her form and held her. Koyuki encased by their embraces and tears.
Blinking, stunned at all of their emotions and cries, 'How long was I gone?'
At the news of Koyuki's awakening from both Ochako and Toru; many of her friends rushed over. From Hitoshi dashing out of his home, class A and B running from different directions to the hospital, to Mirio, Nejiro, and Tamaki quickly leaving their hero work to the hospital.
Even the teachers felt great relief at the news. All Might quickly dashed to the hospital, hitching a ride with Aizawa, who had a lot to say to the mage. If his dark glare on his face said anything. But it didn't hide the fact the two heroes were relieved to know she had awaken and is well.
All arriving at the same time: Mina, Tsuyu, Kyoka, and all of class B girls consoling a weeping Momo. Relieved to hear the confirmation from the nurses.
Tamaki was the same, Mirio and Nejire trying to calm the ravenette's tears. They too were so relieved and emotional as the boy. The moment they saw the news, visiting Koyuki's unconscious body; it was all to much for them.
Hitoshi and the rest of the guys of A and B awaited for the visits. Hearing that Koyuki's room was already pact; unlike Midoriya's last visit to the hospital, there wasn't much a limit. But the hospital had to limit for Koyuki, in worry for any outside sickness that may endanger her. Already guessing Izuku, Toru, Ochako, Eijirou, Katsuki, Shoto, and Tenya were there.
Hearing flapping wings and seeing an exhausted Daisy. Her wings poofing away and rushing to the girls with tears. Asking if it were true and sobbed when they nodded. Tumbling to her knees, covering her face in her hands. Repeating her partners name in great relief.
Till morning nightfall, everyone tearfully greeting the Dragoon, joking with her, conversing with her. Some even excitedly talked of her battle, her and All Might's battle was the biggest battle broadcasted and talked about. It might as well be her biggest debut as a hero, though she wasn't official legally. Even so, it brought her grand publicity to be recognized as one by the grand majority. Koyuki, being who she is, jokingly teased if the government wanted to see her through court for such huge offence of battling the rogue wizard. Deadpanning when many only shrugged. It was the teachers who revealed to her she gained a pardons for only fighting in self-defense and stopping the wizard from further causing havoc. Which Aizawa heatedly spoke with a heated glare with an aura that screamed death. Koyuki muttering with catty eye's, "Why does he suddenly remind me of Erza?" He wasn't the only one, she had an earful from her partner; scolding her for overdoing it and never scare her like that ever again. Though saying all this with watery eyes, Toshinori had to pat the girl's back to breath in her rant. Informing her that the school had to discuss with the government for her stay, which was a huge question finally answered. It seemed that everyone now knew what she was, a wizard. It seemed everyone wonder what kind of Quirk she withhold and how complex and vast it was in comparison to the majority of Quirks they've seen. Nonetheless, they had to fight for her right to continue to school in U.A., which they won. However, the school is to supervise and document of her whereabouts where she may go: basically a house arrest with a parole officer in mind.
Which now leaves her and Izuku, everyone had left to their homes. the nurse who was in charge of Koyuki's health, smiled to the two teens, "Dragoon-san will be discharged this week, but we'll need to make sure there's no abnormalities from her injuries." Something Recovery Girl had informed the family that something vexing and terribly was happening to Koyuki. Horrifying the already grieving family, that Koyuki's body was receiving new bruises and their her eye bleed tears. But now with Koyuki awake, they seemed to have stop, which still befuddled the nurses and heroine, who visited the girl and ranted "You're far worse than these two!" Pointing out both Izuku and All Might, seeing they were the ones to constantly get injured. Huffing about, beating death with a stick to tempt him to do his worse bidding. It was far to close to the truth.
Puffing her chest proudly, "Mah, I can leave tomorrow."
Frantically waving her hand to stop the girl from deciding such thought, "Dra-Dragoon-san..."
"I'm fine." Reassuring them with a smile, both hearing and seeing this reminded Izuku of the aftermath of the battle against Stain.
Cupping her cheek in defeat, "Though I wouldn't recommend it, it is your decision, Dragoon-san." Bowing to the two and left through the doors with a shut. Thus leaving the two alone together; becoming terribly silent now. Not liking this already, but he knew immediately what he must do, it was overdue and he needed this solved, "Koyuki..." Shuffling off his seat, surprising Koyuki, "Izuku what are you--" Stunned in seeing Midoriya lowering himself on the ground; now on his hands and knees; forehead pressed on the tile floors in great apology, "Please forgive me for saying such terrible things to you."
Turning her body to stop him, "Izu-Izuku--"
"I know it wasn't my place to meddle with your wizard work, but I couldn't help but worry." Eyes clenched shut, ashamed of himself for his behavior and actions towards his best friend, "When Shigaraki mentioned your enemy and he planned on capturing you... I...I panicked. Panicked that he'll do something worse to you than giving you those scars and killing Yuki. And he did..." Tears pelting the tiles, his voice trembling now, "Because of my stupid pride and fear, you were captured and...tortured..." Chin trembling now, bitting bottom lip, "It's my fault you--"
Silenced when gentle hands cupped his face, tilting his head up to meet stern azures, "Never say it was your fault." On her knees before Izuku. Unable to understand nor comprehend this, "Bu-But I--"
Narrowing her eye's more, "Never, ever, say it." Pressing her forehead against his, causing Izuku to blushing immensely at their small distance. "It was never your fault to begin with."
Breathing in shakenly at her words, more tears dribbled down his cheeks. Pelting the floors off his chin from the rivering tears. Almost flinching back shyly when her thumb gently wipped his tears. Circling and caressing his cheek in such soothing fashion.
"Have you ever thought of being official with Dragoon-san?"
Blushing profusely at Sero's voice appearing at the back of his mind. Glancing away shyly when emeralds met azures. Hearing his heart pick up speed, 'Why is that popping up at a time like this...?' His ears reddening in his fluster; brows trembling in his nervous bashfulness. Especially at how close their faces are, nose barely touching.
"You okay, Izuku?" Not meeting her worried eye's, roaming around his reddened face; in search for the cause of having such color on his features.
"I-I'm fine." Stuttering his words.
"Your face is all red. Maybe we should get off the floor, you might get yourself sick from the chilling hospital floors." Assuming that may be the reason to his face being so flushed. Even with his bashfulness, he pointed out with a nervous smile, "I should be the one telling you that. You're only wearing a hospital gown."
"I'm a Water-Ice Dragon Slayer, I can handle it." Puffing up proudly at the declaration.
"That's no excuse." Almost chuckling his words out.
"It's the perfect excuse." Throwing him a broad smile, revealing her canines. Now holding her hand up to him, clasping his hand. Standing back, Izuku gollowibg suit. Confused upon seeing her frown, "Hey, Izuku." Guiding him to her hospital bed, patting the space next to her. Obeying, he sat beside her, at her next words, he was stunned in shock, "I found my mama and papa..."
"...how? You're... You were--" Fumbling out his words, unable to comprehend how that was possible. She must've seen a premonition in her unconsciousness within her dreams. But that wasn't the case.
"They were inside me this whole time." Turning to her completely, reading her face. Her azures were now sadly hollow, "They brought my soul back to my world, Earthland. There was another battle happening. One of Zeref's demons tried to rid the world of magic. They would have enslaved all of the people in Fiore or exterminate them of existence."
Izuku, terribly pale at this; but knowing why she may have been unconscious in a coma, "My brother, my friend Gray, and I... We defeated their leader and destroyed their weapons, but not without the help of the dragons." Clenching the covers, "Sleeping dormant in our bodies."
"But why would they bring you to your world so suddenly?" Unable to comprehend her parent's reasoning.
"They had a reason why, Izuku... It was the plan to defeat Acnologia and that the Dragon Seeds in my body doesn't consume me."
Blinking at this in confusion, "Dragon Seed?"
"Yes... They change Dragon Slayers into dragons." Hearing this, Izuku's confusion slowly turned into great shock, "You can turn into a dragon...?"
Nodding her head listlessly, "Before I shouldn't... But since I've been in this world for three years, its mutating the seeds and making them react."
"I don't understand?" Frowning gently, seeing her reaction was worrisome. She seemed tired and...defeated. Sighing through nose gently, "It means they're continuing its process in turning me into a dragon. I shouldn't have since my...foster parent's, sacrificed themselves to create an antibody for this... And now, now the seeds are growing."
"What--..." Gobsmacked at such thing, stuttering word at first. Then nervously asked, "What are the effects?"
"I don't know."
Feeling a single nervous sweat drip. However, he remembered the word 'sacrificed' she uttered about her adopted parent's. Head snapping up in worry, "Koyuki, your parent's...sacrificed themselves?"
He immiadetly regretted mentioning it.
Her hollow blue eye's sprung tears, lips trembling. Brows creased deeply, but seemed to try to stop such frown. His eye's widened at such reaction, "Koyuki...?"
Teeth grinding shakenly till he heard them chatter and release croaked whimpers. Reaching out to her but jumped back in surprise when she threw her hands over her eye's, until she released an upseting cry did he react.
He didn't know why, but his body moved on its own and threw his arms around her form. Pressing cheek onto his shoulder for comfort. Embracing her into a firm hug; afraid if he held her loosely, she'll shatter to pieces. Seeing as she was slowly braking. Hearing her heartbreaking wails on his left shoulder, gasping for air then wailing out.
He's never seen Koyuki so broken. He couldn't help but blame himself for bringing up the topic. He never wanted to see the Dragoon cry in pain again, and now-- and now he's caused this. Reminding her something she didn't want to remember.
"HE KILLED THEM! HE-- ACNOLOGIA-- HE KILLED MY PAPA!! A-AND MAMA'S GONE!!" Crying out her words out, as she grasped his shirt in their hug. Tears staining her face, "MAMA!! PAPA!!" Sobbing louder, like a heartbroken child.
Izuku felt his eye's sting, as tears of his own fell. Just hearing Koyuki's sobs brought him to tears. Hearing her heart shattering, as he held this heartbroken girl.
The name of the dark dragon- Acnologia- he hasn't heard that name for years now. Not only has this creature struck fear in this girl, it stole her parent's. For that, he felt anger towards that monster.
He didn't know how long she sobbed her heart, but it didn't matter. He was embracing her most vulnerable moment and he needed to comfort her in her time of need.
Petting her short hair, lacing through the soft locks affectionately. Listening to her soft whimpers and hiccups, as she clung to him like a lifeline. Softly, he hummed, trying to sooth her pain; the same way she hummed to him to sleep. Though it sounded off beat for it to be any sort of song, he'll do it anyway to comfort her. What ever way or form. He'll do it.
Glancing at her plastic canister, he wondered if she'll need more refreshments now. Hesitantly, he leaned back and removed himself. Feeling his chest tighten upon hearing her low whimper, wanting nothing more to continue to hold her.
"Do you want more ice and water?" She said nothing, facing her lap. Either way, he stood up to leave and request more of her refreshments. Hopefully it'll calm her a bit. But stopped at the light tug, glancing down to see her hand grasping his shirt, "Izuku."
"Will you stay by my side for a bit? Just until I fall asleep." Cheeks red from all the emotional release and crying. But she wouldn't meet his dumbfounded stare; but he felt her trembling hand in her hold on him.
"Yeah,...sure." Sitting beside her bed side, slowly grasping her her hand on his shirt, removing it and now clasped her's comfortably. Feeling her trembling hand hold his tighter for reasurance. Returning the silent confirmation of reasurance within his hold. Taking note how scarred and calloused his hands were, compared to Koyuki's thin and soft-scarred ones. Holding her hand and hearing her make soft sniffles, and slowly flutter her eye's close. Within minutes, her chest rose and fell steadily in her slumber. Now at peace, even with all that's happened to her.
'Don't worry Koyuki.' Lacing his fingers with Koyuki's, the Dragon Slayer naive to this in her sleep. Slowly climbing beside the girl. Now lying beside her form, his freckled cheeks burning red. Heart thundering in his ears, drumming. But he doesn't intend to move away or leave the mage's side anytime soon, 'I'm not going anywhere.'
As he preased his forehead against Koyuki's gently. Breathing in her pine and tropical sea salt scent. The scent-- her scent-- that has calmed him when they first slept beside each other for the first time when they first properly met. Reminding him how much time they spent away from each other.
Enjoying her warmth and the blanketing waves of her magic over his form. It was like a blanket, a soothing and strangely warm one. Comforting him and his form at its familiarity. And for that, he welcomed it and felt his eyelids flutter shut at the sudden heaviness. Finally, after ten days, he fell asleep peacefully by her side. Clasping her hand in their blissful sleep.
A nurse slowly opened the door, but stopped in her place. Blushing a bright red and held back a squeal at the two sleeping teens, 'Such young love!' Slowly backing out and shutting the door.
Back in Earthland, one of the many threats of Fiore stood by the windows. Staring out with the thought of two polar opposite Dragon Slayers. The book of END on a coffee table, safe. But was met with dreadful news of their absence; specifically, Koyuki. Snapping to them, those who've brought him the news with nervous bewilderment, "...Koyuki isn't in this world anymore...?" Mumbling out in shock at the news. Yes, he has realized that the girl was only spiritually there in their encounter; but did not think she wasn't physically here on Earthland.
A pale blonde wizard smiled reassuringly to the dark haired man, "She's very much alive, Lord Zeref." His features looked strikingly like the dark man. Yet, he held striking hairstyle of a certain pinkette Fire Dragon Slayer.
"I better find a way to her and bring her back." Snapping at the direction where Fiore resides. Dark orbs seemed calm, but held clear worry for the Water-Ice Dragon Slayer.
Another Dragon Slayer with orange hair informed the time needed to retrieve the teen from the other world, "It may take a year or less." Bowing deeply to the man, "What ever it may be, we shall retrieve her, my Lord." Dark orbs revealing sharp reptilians, "No matter the casualties of the other world she may be in."
The dark haired wizard looked out in the horizon, memory of seeing the girl. Her look of surprise of seeing him at the island. The overwhelming relief and happiness he felt in seeing her well and healthy. Especially seeing her with Natsu; he just knew those two were just fine growing up with the other. But now, she's in some other world. He'll need to fix that quick, or the plans will be ruined. "Wait for me, Koyuki."
He could vividly remember a small infants wails. Their pleading and large eye's begging him not to leave her. As he gently placed her basket in the water currants of the river. Tears of defeat and anguish of seeing the child cry; but it was all for her to live, "Wait for me, Elaine Dragneel."
In another location, a man smirked darkly to themselves, their blue tresses of hair reached past their hip. Face coated in dark gray-ish blue markings, similar that of a dark dragon, "So, you're hiding from me, little dragon." Body coated in miasma of dark, powerful, magic, the area crumbling and blasted back by unknown winds of gravity by this man-- Dragon Slayer, Acnologia. "No matter where the dragons hide, I'll find every last one of you!"
Roaring out his promise, smiling sadistically, knowing that a yet to be born dragon was out there. And he will kill her, one way or another.
Back on Earth, a threat that was thought to be defeat smiled to the villains. Two woman, one dressed in a skimpy kimono with four knives holding both twin buns, her hair was an icy blue. Rows of knives in their four pouchs. The other woman, her outfit seemed to date back in the 1920's with the classical gangster getup. Fedora and purple stripes with the look.
Shigaraki, glaring at the three, "How did two women and a child find this place." Surely irked upon seeing them, "No matter, Kurogiri, get rid--"
"You really are stupid, little boy." Tensing upon hearing the little girl. As she giggled upon seeing his reaction. Long flowy violet hair, round black beady eyes that looked doll-like, the smile of innocence. But this was not a child-- well, the one possing her isn't. "Did you really think you're hard to find?" Those beady eye's swirled in their glee. A pendant around her little neck, swinging gently. Flipping for just a moment to reveal an inscription with two different hand writting. The first two letters were sharp and clean, while the last two were smooth and cursive with a floweral touch: EKED.
Her enemy is still out there.
Koyuki's past is slowly unravelling.
What does this dark wizard know of the two siblings?
And not only that, it is a race.
Who will reach the girl in this world called 'Earth,' first?
